Fun fact: I get 60gb/month with my ISP for a crappy price and nothing in the area's much different.

Yeah, I'm gonna pass on this.

I have the free 1 year of onlive (beta player, YEAH!) and I have a badass gaming computer. Its still a great idea even on the gaming machines, since it gives the components a breather.

Anyway, I own a playpass for Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 and Batman Arkham Asylum (Batman was free). I'm impressed with the crazy good graphics and how it scales well when the speed craps out. Its like watching HD video on cable but better. Only problem with the service is the HUGE transfer amounts. If you check the video description, after 1hour and 14 minutes of F.E.A.R. 2 gives 2.5GB of data...

I'd say its better than steam and great as a replacement for consoles and big gaming rigs for the financially strapped, but for the gaming purist, nothing will beat a gaming rig.

I rate the service 8.5/10

I wouldn't mind so much if I wasn't in Canada, Land of Shitty ISPs with shitty download caps!

Well, my dad and I pitched in money to get one today. At $99 bucks and one free game of your choice. Does it live up to the expectation?

Well, in a way. It does. Dad got the free game Batman. And I purchased Red Faction: Guerrilla.

For starters, our home is using a 5MB connection. I have a 32inch 1080p television that we used to play our games on.

So before I go on? What is Onlive? It's a very interesting concept that is seriously good in theory. It plans on getting rid of having to buy a high grade gaming computer. So this is just an alternative. Instead of actually having the console calculate graphics and etc; there are supercomputers that do that for you. What you are seeing is basically a video. However you control the video (If that makes any sense)

It's cloud gaming basically. And it works pretty damn good.

I'm with the creator of this video on this. Playing a racing game to me is just enough to where it's annoying. Everything else? I have played Red Faction online with several people. and we even made a couple of "Bragging" videos.

Yeah thats right. You can have Onlive record the gameplay for you so you can share with your friends so long as your friend too has an Onlive account.

Another cool thing about this is that you can watch other people play! I checked out some people playing Borderlands and you can even talk to them while they are playing so long as they have a mic or something. It's neat.

Is this a well run investment? So far, it is! But for those of you with slow internet. This is something you need to avoid. Also, if you already own a high grade gaming computer. It's best to avoid this service
