I've been taking Adderall for ADD, which is probably a stimulant as well.

The thing is I haven't taken any of it for at least three weeks now and these issues still pop up. And I'm pretty sure from what I know there's not a lot of withdrawal from these types of meds, at least for me personally and I was never taking them super consistently. But yeah, these other odd symptoms I'm getting have definitely popped up over the last few weeks when I wasn't taking anything for ADD. And I do believe they started earlier this year before I tried stuff for ADD. The "can't miss breakfast" issue for me has been ongoing for years.

Thanks for pointing that out Vulkar, I can probably see about looking into this at Walmart.

You don't actually have to get a full checkup to get an A1C test. If you go up to the pharmacist at Walmart, or Walgreens, they should be able to get you that test pretty cheaply. They should help you interpret the results too. Worst case scenario, you can get an A1C test kit, probably in that same section of the store.

And yeah, be careful about eating too much if you think you have diabetes as well. Docotr's say that your blood sugar should never go over 200, but a lot of results say that damage to the body happens around 140, so be careful about that.

I know it's been a long time since I've posted, but I can't help it in this case.

I've seen people with a diagnosis of severe anxiety and diabetes. The diabetes ran both ways-- as low as 49, and as high as 178. Hypo- or hyperglycemia is not something to fool around with. If you can't afford a visit to a doctor, you absolutely must make sure you're eating all your meals. If you feel a little woozy between, eat something, an apple, or peanut butter crackers, drink juice or something.

As for anxiety... what do you take for your ADD? Ritalin? Because it's a stimulant, you should be careful due to that it can cause cardiovascular problems. Ritalin is also taken for depression in adults, so it could be a factor in all of this as well.

My mom might be able to get one of those monitors from a friend. I'm gonna keep bugging her about it.

The bad thing about getting checked out is I still don't have a job right now and can't really burn a few hundred for a checkup (not insured by the way), and my family absolutely can't do this either. So that's kind of a problem here.

If anything I definitely want to get to the dentist soon. I don't think I mentioned it above but I have had some case of oral thrush in the back of my tongue and I get little packages of tonsiliths built up from time to time, so much that sometimes I can wake up in the morning and even physically feel one in the back of my throat, which I can usually pull/push out or just straight up cough it out. It's really nasty. The odd thing is I brush my teeth regularly and even showed my doctor last year signs of this, but he said I don't have bad breath and it's nothing to worry too much about. But uh, it's been awhile and it's just plain nasty, I don't want that anymore.

Anyways that would be more payable right now and I know bacteria from this can get further into the body, so maybe it's causing other stuff. Hopefully I can get that checked out soon.

I hate how I never seem to have these symptoms pop up on the weekends.

Honestly, in the little bit of research I've done it sounds like I could be having panic attacks of sorts. There are also times where I'll lay down or something and my chest will start beating so physically hard I can feel it in practically my entire torso area, I get shaky, and everything. And these occur randomly and crap. It just happened again on Thursday and this can happen so quickly and go away within 5-10 minutes, it's so strange. But it sounds like I could have an issue with my body being physically tired, but my mind being way too energized and nonstop or something.

Lots of weird stuff going on this year. I'll keep you guys updated.

Yeah, a blood sugar that low cannot be good. Was that the A1C test, or one of the tests designed just to show your current level?

Pff, I giggled. I have a dirty mind, I know.

Anyway, to actually contribute instead of making a shitpost, it turns out I have a blood sugar level of 69... (insert another sex joke here, please)

No joke though, 69. I'm changing my diet YESTERDAY.

So Xeo...

You getting tested?

If not, there is another way for you to keep your blood sugar up. If you want, you can buy a blood-sugar monitor, which you should be able to buy at Target or Wal-Mart. It basically just involves you taking a small prick, it measures your blood sugar ( two hours after you start eating, anything less than 75 is low, and anything more than 120 is a little high.)

This is actually something that a lot of diabetics use for controlling their blood sugar. Basically, the idea is, carbs increase your blood sugar level, and lack of carbs makes it go down. However, if you have diabetes, and you start eating lots of carbs to keep your blood sugar up, it can get VERY dangerous.

So again I say, talk to a doctor and figure out what's going on.

It's true! It's also not the first place where I've heard people tell me to do it!

Heh, yeah, if you've only been eating a little for a long time, it'll start off like that, but give it some time and it'll get a lot better.

xD, its not very often that you go to a message board that advises you to eat more to lose weight.

I feel like crap now... Now I remember why I only eat once or twice! Ugh, I feel like I ate a brick! I think I might have digestion problems too, it's just not going anywhere!

Well, I'll have to get used to it, I guess. I actually felt a lot better today, other than my stomach feeling like it's about to burst, haha. I don't know, I just don't like the "full" feeling.

Stinky is right especially with the weight gain through not eating. Have you ever seen those donate 25 cents to save a life commercials? Well what happens is when you stop eating after reaching your "set point" your body tries to keep that set point by self-canabalizing. Just eat three square meals a day and small snacks through out the day. You're weight will go down promise.

My mom just got diagnosed with diabetes, and given that she researches health more than anyone else I have ever met, I now know a little more than I ever should.

Xeus, what you need to get is an A1C test from your doctor. All it is is just one drawing, and through that, they'll check your average blood sugar levels for the past six months. It should be enough to tell if you have diabetes. Basically, if your blood/sugar level is ever above 200, you're pretty much guaranteed to be at least prediabetic.

As for your sudden moodiness/depression when you go through this...your body is releasing adrenaline along with various other chemicals, all of which effect you at least partially emotionally.

And yeah, if you have these symptoms, get yourself diagnosed. Seriously. I've fainted for missing a meal before, but if you do this whenever you skip breakfast, you have a pretty serious problem.

Valhalla: You say that you're overweight, and you barely eat? There's actually a pretty good reason behind that. When you don't eat consistently, your body goes into some sort of starvation mode, where it starts to make fat as much as possible, because it doesn't know when its next meal is. Consistency will really help with this.

And Xeo, get that blood test!

There's an easy thing for you to go ahead and fix your diet. Along with eating your breakfast. Take vitamins.

Don't worry about it, this is kind of what I wanted out of this thread anyways... I just don't know much about this stuff at all. Eh...

The problem is I have been more physically active and not as moody this year, especially over the last month or so. But this stuff still comes and goes. My diet certainly could use a lot of work though, I know I don't get a lot of fiber.

I have a terrible diet, consisting of eating probably once or twice a day and not eating a balanced meal. I eat when I feel like it and it's not often.

I'm also fat. WTF?

Seriously though, I need to change my eating habits badly. When I get nervous or upset, I don't eat. I CAN'T eat. The problem is that I'm a very nervous person...

And as for liver? I love it but everybody else in my family hates it so I rarely ever eat it. A friend recommended raisins for anemia so I guess that will do just fine considering how many we have!

As for my blood sugar, my mother told me that it's always been low (why my parents never did anything about it eludes me) and it's from her side of the family. My mom's is so low that it's a miracle that she can walk, let alone do everything she does.

Anemia explains why I've always been somewhat lightheaded and I've passed out on multiple occasions, just randomly. One of which almost got me fired because my boss is very insensitive to medical conditions. "Oh, you no do that in front of customer... no good for business." I also got harped on for limping after I smashed my knee against a table at work... No worker's comp, either!

Gah, sorry for hijacking your thread, Xeo.

First of all it's best not to think "What you might have". I hope wood is in handy because you need to knock on it. I hope you cought that phraise otherwise my southern self will make it look bad on me. What I am trying to say is that don't think you have it, because surely your mind will make it happen. The human body works that way.

Second: Do you eat food that contains Iron? My family bloodline is filled with diabetics, and my father just recently got diagnosed with it. And the one food you may find disgusting might be the trick to a healthier more livelier lifestyle. I am talking about Liver.

Eat it.

I'm serious. I find liver absolutely delicious. Maybe because my grandmother was diabetic and all, but hell, at first I was kinda hesitant, but it honestly tastes like pork chops. Plus it's GREAT for you.

What kinda diet do you have?

E- Also, I too am Anemic

E2- Passed out of the Olive Garden and refused to go to a hospital. I'm just like my dad.

Well, I found out from my mom earlier that yes, I am hypoglycemic AND I'm anemic. Fun fun, I could have used this info a LONG time ago.

I just know getting tested for diabetes is pretty tough, like you get blood drawn 6 times in the same day or something. I hope this is a little easier...

I don't know what to say to this other than, "Holy shit, it sounds just like me!"

I think I might get myself tested for this too, seriously, I get the same exact feelings all the time!

Edit: I went to a website about Hypoglycemia and it fits my bill perfectly, almost too perfectly... If this really is something I have, Xeo, I owe you big time.
