Exactly my point, thank you Katana. |

Just to sum up Cairoi and Seijika very quickly, and reiterate Elara: I don't think it's wrong to say you wouldn't be with someone you don't find physically attractive. I don't think it's shallow either. I'm getting more and more artsy the older I get, it's scary, but I believe in the phrase "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." For example, I used to get chastized for being so pale...when in some cultures, the paler you are, the more beautiful you're considered. Might be a bad reference, but the Aryan(sp?) race, blonde hair, blue eyes....yet other cultures prefer the darker looks. And individuals can be the same way. I've been told several times "You're not ugly, but I'm more attracted to taller blondes, rather than the dark hair." **shrugs** I've DATED people who thought I was cute enough, but were more attracted physically to something different than I am.
I think beauty, in both men and women, is far too opinionated to really be a contender in this discussion. It's what Elara said, the "supermodel" look. Supermodels aren't the only attractive people out there. I think she was trying to say that she's seen that nerd guys want the nerd girl and Megan Fox at the same time. (And I'm using her as a figurative example, so no nitpicking please. Lmao) |

Pathfinder is amazing. 4th edition is pretty damn fun with some house rules, such as oh, I don't know, ROLEPLAYING instead of rolling dice to determine an outcome...
Combat is hella fun and easy for beginners to learn, that's what makes 4th ed awesome. Pathfinder takes everything that made 3.5 great and expands upon it, balancing out the higher levels somewhat. |

This makes me sad.
Everyone I used to play with is an asshole, and I haven't played for about a year and a half. |

Originally posted by Cairoi Really? Never have I met any, especially lately. And, as I'm sure you know, Cairoi, my girlfriend is not nerdy. lol. |

Honestly, I would go to Pathfinder rules over 3.5 even... though 3.5 is awesome. The Pathfinder system did what WotC should have done when they went to 4e.
Anyway, on the comments of Seijika and Cairoi, I agree. Like I said, gamer girls are not ugly, but I do notice more often than not they don't look like supermodels either. Hell, even I have had many a relationship so clearly guys find me attractive, but I will not deny that I am overweight. |

Originally posted by Seijika *thumbs up* Yeah, not seeing the lack of "nerd" girls or whatever. If anything, I've met more girls that are into the geek scene and are attractive recently than any other point in my life (case in point, my lady). |

This thread is making it sound like all attractive girls are stupid as shit.
Personality can exist in a good-looking person. I wouldn't ever be with someone who I didn't find physically attractive. |

Originally posted by ValhallaOriginally posted by Elara I agree. Intelligence more than anything, but I'm not extremely picky about it. I'll settle for average, but all those 'hot' girls that dont even know how to do simple, first grade algebra....I just want to kill them. As for looks, of course every guy wants a good looking girl, but I think personality shapes looks even moreso than the actual looks. Keep trucking, nerds And yeah, make sure its 3.5, Yasu. |

Please say not 4th edition, please. |

I must say I love my someone nerd of a wife. She might not know it all right now but wants to learn how to play D&D and that just makes your hotter. |
Elara Posts: 5626/9736 |
Lucky broads, how I envy them. But I am fine, since I know I am cute, lol.
And next time they call you a nerd, just raise your fist for nerd pride! ... I signed high school yearbooks with that, a fist clutching a magnifying glass and underneath "Nerd Pride!" Yes, that is how lame I am, lol. |

The best girls I know are gamer girls, and the few that are at work at Activision aren't fat. They have the kickin' looks (being a gay man, I can partially judge), are fun, and kick my ass in most games. I love them. |

lmao. You all just made my team leader point at me and go NERD. >.> |

Originally posted by Elara I giggled most heartily at that one. It's so true. XD If it weren't for the fact that my job doesn't lend to sitting down. At all. And I take public transportation, so getting my ass to the bus stops is a factor. With all the Mountain Dew I drink, cherry taffies and gushers fruit snacks I eat, and the sitting and drawing, sitting and gaming, sitting and reading, sitting and typing...all the sitting I do...I'm not very healthy. Hell, I get so lazy, I said to my sister once "I'm done for the day. I stood in the shower for 45 minutes, rather than sitting in the bath." Hi! I'm Kat. I play games, like movies, read comics and graphic novels, can hold my own in talk of sports, cars...I'm sorta kinda tiny, but, I'm lazy, inhabit the habits of dudes that aren't so flattering, have no boobs, and my voice will grate on the inside of your skull until your eyes explode and blood pours from your ears. You boys can't have it all. XD XD XD |

With rare exception, that doesn't happen. Granted I don't think us gamer girls look bad or anything but let's face it, eating all the junk food that is standard gamer fare does not lend to skinny jeans. |

Originally posted by Elara I disagree! I personally believe that a smart girl is far more attractive than some broad in a size 0, huge tits and can't understand basic arithmetic. That just wouldn't be my cup of tea! Stay how you are, ladies. |
