Lmfao.
And it is stressful! That's the point! Like...even in the most stressful moments, we find ourselves being able to laugh hysterically at something. And not in that bitter, "Oh, this is my life" kinda way. But seriously, honestly, legitimately laugh. **shrugs** I dunno. I think it's in a way, a positive thing, to have the ability to do that, and acknowledge that you're doing it. Because, like it or not, shit happens, big or small. :p **giggles** Like True said...imagine being in the middle of a heated argument, you're angry as all hell, fuming, red in the face, and someone just hops up and says to you what she says. Like...I'd be laughing my ass off if I were in the middle of arguing and something like that happened. |

I just read Seijika's post. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to close this thread because we have a winner. No one can do better than that. |

Damn this thread is stressful. Why???
Well I absolutely know I've had a handful of these kinds of situations, probably with my first job at Jiffy Lube and my old buds there... a lot of us ALWAYS bumped heads real bad on days here and there, but we'd usually all be over it by the end of the day and I'm sure some silly stupid things would come along the way and just make us think "What are we arguing about?" haha. |

It's Situational Report. What we did that day to keep the command up to date. I am the one that sends them out since I have someone keeping me in my radio box which is really getting on my last nerves. |

wow sweijika... brutal.
I'll tell you something that's sort of what you described. I'm clueless when it comes to weapons all I know is a M16 and an M9 that's it. Anyway... Duncan and SGT Lanier get into a heated arguement about a weapon on a bradley and I'm sitting here going. WTF SHUT UP. Finally I figured out the right thing to say. I'm a nerd and I am out of the closet when it comes to nerdiness. ANYWAY I jumped up and pointed at the two of them. "NERDS!!! I'M TRYING TO CONCENTRATE ON THIS DAILY SIT REP SHUT UP!" |

One time I stalked a teacher that really seemed to hate me. He gave me way too much work, always called me down, and threatened to fail me. He just gave me too much stress, causing my mind to fall apart. I broke into his home, and stabbed him in the stomach with a letter opener. Through teary, rage-filled eyes I screamed at him "This is what you get!! Don't you understand!? You were just way too hard on me! I...I can't take it..."
Then he began to laugh. I let go of the letter opener for a moment then stepped back. The hilt of the opener pushed in and out of his stomach as he giggled. He finally spoke "heh, you said 'hard on'". I clued in and laughed as well. I couldn't believe I said somethnig so silly. We laughed for a bit and then I went home and he was okay. |

Originally posted by Katana Yes its funny now but my best man and grooms men had to hold me back from killin him at the time. Only thinkin back at it now do i find it at all funny but for about 6 months after it happened he wouldnt even talk to me or my wife. The funniest part about that is my wife and his wife are sisters. Wait he also lives with his wife parents(yes my wife parents too) and is the one that for some reason answers there phone so you could always tell it was him who answered because it would be dead silent for about a minute then someone else would walk over and pick up the phone that he just left on the table. |

Yes! HAHAHA! That's awesome! It's just so weird, do something funny, sometimes gets the point across better than the obvious solution for the moment. |

Haha. Sure thing. I don't mess around when it comes to electronics, man.
Dude, it happens ALL the time. I'm always so angry and disgruntled, but it's very difficult to take me seriously sometimes, and something funny always interferes with the worst moments, I swear. Hopefully I'm not the only one. XD |

Has anyone ever had those moments where something serious is going on, like a fight or something, only to be interrupted by something really funny, that both parties acknowledge, no matter how, angry for example, they are?
I think I have those a little too often, only I don't always opt for the happy ending the funny moment brought on. For instance, now posting about my PSP in Modern Gaming made me think of this... Things ended with my last boyfriend. Badly. Like, REALLY badly. So badly that I punched him in the face. Okay, that's not too much of a stretch for me, but it got to the point where I insisted on giving him all of his stuff back. Which includes, I now regret, the Scotty Hartnell jersey he bought me. But in any case, so, I'm standing outside my house, with the bag of things, waiting for him to show up, when he brings his shiny new girlfriend that he incidentally had been fucking the last year of our relationship ANYway. Well, I was pretty mad, but didn't want to go to jail for assaulting this girl. (I punched my ex-in the face much sooner than this revelation, so okay, I had already risked an assault charge already.) So, instead of walking over and beating the crap out of her, I began throwing things at his car. Like, I dented his car a bit. And as I'm fumbling through the bag, he's begging me to stop, and I pull out the PSP he got me. The blue one. Blue is my favorite color...and I love my PSP. And so, I literally stopped myself from chucking it at his car, looked at him, and said "Hell no! It's a PSP. And it's Blue!" and proceeded to calmly hand him the bag and what remained, and walked back inside. I could hear him laughing his ass off as I did so, and I admittedly chuckled myself. I guess you would have had to be there in person, and know the two of us in person to see the humor in that, but yeah. Then he pulled the whole "I miss being your friend. Let's just forget this happened and be friends." To which he was punched in the face again, and told never to speak to me again. So, yeah, I don't always opt for the happy endings, but there was a moment of piece and laughter in between. XD That kinda shit ever happen to you guys? |
