Zero is still my favorite. Good work on the rest, too, though!

Very nice... however, Lithium's torso seems really really short. Love the "painting with Edward" pic, very funny.

Oh, Katana! i adore you for so many reasons! X3

Your sharpie story reminds me of a similar experience I had. I found out the hard way that some markers that look black are actually really dark red, blue... or in my case, green, purple... etc. It's hard to have a character with red eyes when the "black" marker scans in as a dark green color. That, and since my old scanner's lamp sucked butt it scanned lighter in some areas and darker in others. Ew! By the time I looked at the fully scanned drawing, Xeden's eyes looked like freakin' Christmas decorations. Again, EW!

We learn from our mistakes, though! ^_-

DrowningPheonix, I'm so happy to hear you like Zero so much! ♥ What specifically do you like about him? *Is hungry for opinions!*

Here's a few more pieces of eye-candy for y'all. (And yes, I'll get pics of my pretty cosplay soon, too!)

Lithium is one of my OCs. He's Xeden's "other half" that helps keep his powers in check and keeps him stable. Without his tie to Lithium, Xeden would slowly devolve into a ravenous monster without the ability to speak, even. Lithium was originally paired with his brother, Sayn, the first of the Chaos Children (Lithium is a Child of Law) to balance Sayn's powers. Sayn hated being limited, so he tried to tear Lithium apart. The result was sayn breaking his ties to Lithium (though he retained his normal form, since he'd consumed enough of Lithium's blood to do so - almost killing Lithium in the process!) In this pic, Lithium's pretty much as Sayn intended, though this is him long after that. His right wing was torn out, and his eyes were gauged out. After he lost his sight, he became the Goddess Law's Oracle because he traded any hope of having his sight back to have divine intuition. His prophacies are never wrong, but Sayn (having heard that Lithium was the Goddess's Oracle) cursed him so that he cannot speak a word about the things he sees, only hint at them. Poor Lithium!

Another pic of Lithium (older)

The original concept piece that, much later, became Zero!

Zero's half-brother, Novocain.

... Enjoy! ♥

Thank you!!! Ugh...I HATE using 0.8 Microns sometimes. And sharpies with prismacolors...*shudders** Made THAT mistake with my first assignment in Advertizing Class. Luckily, the teacher was real cool about it. I had gone to him before the assignment was due, told him that the item he requested we used, since it wasn't on the freshman kit I originally purchased and this assignment was due between checks, that I couldn't afford to get the markers he sprung on us last minute. I didn't phrase it that way, of course...XD So I asked if I could use the sharpies that came in the kit instead. He said no problem. When it was done, I freaked, came in the due date for crit. and he was grinning like crazy. But was REAL cool about it. Told me if he said anything to me about it before hand, I might have been more hesitant, and the work wouldn't have been a good example. He told everyone that he did it to me on purpose so I wasn't mortified, and then told me privately that he wasn't letting the sharpie effect my grade. He saw I got what the original lesson was, with or without using sharpie, and graded me based on that.

Sharpies = messy....THAT, and they're not true black, if you're using a black one. Some have more of a blue pigment to them, others red, so after a while, the work will look more red or blue...and if you used two black sharpies in one piece of work...oh boy.

Your coloring is VERY well done, no matter how you did it. I love it. Not just the way, but the choice of color too. Cosplaying as OCs sounds interesting as well. Definitely need pics! Haha. Kuba is ADORABLE, and I absolutely LOVE how the shirt came out for Kyoji. I know you said it's not the way he usually looks, but it's still cute. And enigmas are always fun. "Hey, I'm cute and cuddly...but I'll rape your face!!! Muwahahahaha." XD XD

Oh, man! I love designing OCs and I'm planning on making several of their outfits, too. I've become much more obsessed with cosplaying OCs instead of licensed characters, mostly because I like making my own creative outfits. Heck, I don't think I have ever drawn any of my OCs in the same outfit twice... unless you consider naked an outfit. Then maybe I have. X3

I really like the outfits for both Mirru and Zero that are pictured above. I'm hoping to design something nifty for Xeden and Gabrial this year's Anime Detroit. Xeden's shirt will be black with lots of zippers on the front and red ribbon in a corset lacing through rings down the back of the shirt. Black cargo pants with lots of pockets and ties, and some knee-high white combat boots. I'll probably also do some nifty makeup and pierce the heck out of my ears... maybe braid the wig so that those will show better. Gabrial's will be a more uniform outfit. I'm using several military uniforms, especially those from the Civil War and WWII to design his outfit from. I find it ironic that the two colors that will be used for the outfit are grey and blue. Civil War history, anyone? X3

Zero's outfit will be black pants held together by belts and a black zip-up vest, similar to the bulletproof vests worn by the FBI in design, ut with a higher collar. I'll probably have my left eye wrapped with gauze for the cosplay, since he's technically blind in that one. Irony (again) since I'm also nearly blind in my left eye.

I'll also be doing a street-style version of Sheenka's outfit that won't be as detailed. I've made the outfit he's wearing in the pic before and used it for a Halloween party a few years back. I won first prize, but since I was going up against a bunch of shitty store bought costumes, I figured that was pretty unfair to everyone else... especially since there were 3 Alice's from Alice in Wonderland and a bunch of generic costume store faeries. I donated the prize, since it was a party organized to help a local charity... and since I'd helped pick the charity, I was happy. Thus the prize monies went to the local animal shelter. ^_-

And... Here's some more pics for you all to say "oooh! ahhh!" over! ♥

Pic of Xenny (Xeden) having loads of fun finger painting with Edward Cullen. This was done mostly because I hate the "twilight" series, and because Xeden needed a new something to be morbid with.

This pic was a photoshop doodle, which is why it's only colored in flat, ugly colors instead of all spiffy and pretty. The character is Kuba, a kelpie (faerie water horse) in his human form. He's mindlessly sitting there, munching on a doll while probably daydreaming up something warm, screaming, full of fear... and much more tasty. In case you're not familiar with them, kelpies are faerie horses that live in lakes, swamps, bogs, etc. (unmoving water) and drown and eat children. Yum!

Since I've recently gotten back into playing D&D with Garrett and some of his friends, I've made several Drow characters. This is another one of them. (Zero's a albino Drow, but he's far older than any of my other Drow characters.) This is Kaundynuul Diersusx (pronounced: "Candy-nel Deer-su-six") aka "Candy." (I'm sure he'd just love being called that. ) He's the cousin to my other Drow character, Rune (whom I've drawn, but not scanned yet.)

... Last pic (for now!) This is Kyoji Winter, my blue-haired slut. Er, I mean... I adore him and he's just so cute. Sure. Actually, this pic is pretty out of character for Kyoji, who's an incubus. He's not normally this... big-eyed. I don't know what really happened... I did do it at 5am after staying up for two days straight. Maybe that's why it looks all screwed up. Maybe. I do like how the shirt came out, though. I rarely use digital coloring... so I'm happy with that part at least!

Also! Some tips for Katana... and anyone else, I suppose, since you're reading this anyhow.

- I've been using Prismacolor markers and I've found them to work very well. The only thing I've found that's superior to Prismas is Copic markers. Both are pretty pricey, though. Prismas are slightly cheaper, and since i donn't have to monies to invest in a set of Copics yet, I'll stick to my Prisma babies!
- For inking, I use micron pens by Sakura Arts. They come in a good number of sizes and have recently started coming in several new shades as well. For the basic ink jobs, I'd recomend just a size 0.5mm micron. They're measured in the size of the diameter of the felt tip of the pen. A 0.5mm is the standard size. There's also a 0.8mm which is great if you don't have very many detailed lines. If you find that you have some very detailed lines and are worried about inking the details properly, their smallest size that I've found to work reliably is a 0.005mm... aka freakin' tiny! X3
-While investing in a sketchbook is a good idea sometimes, you may also want to think about using a clipboard and regular computer paper. Computer paper is much better with micron ink, though it tends to bleed a little more with the markers. Another helpful tip is this: do not use either Prismas or Copics with Sharpies. Your colors will bleed together and look like crap. Prismas and Copics are alcohol-based markers. So are Sharpies. They colors will want to blend together... but since their ink is made very differently, they'll bleed together in blotches and look like EWWW on your paper. That's why god gave us Microns. they don't bleed when used with markers.

Well, I hope that helps! I'll post more pics soon, too! ♥

What media did you use for these? Looks like some sort of marker on some of them.

If you are into using markers and inks, tips would be very much appreciated!!!

The T-shirt design is adorable, but I can't decide if I have a favorite out of the others. I definitely like the creativity behind the OCs. Designing outfits are like my kryptonite.
