Like from Dragon's Lair?
Anyway, it looks like I'll be borrowing NG2 from my friend Carlos, I wanted a challenge as I didn't find the previous one too terribly difficult but I haven't done everything in it yet so...
I'll check out Ninja Blade for sure then.

I think it got decent reviews all around actually, but not huge acclaim or anything. Either way I think the game did kind of go under the radar though.
There's a demo out though, I say check that out and see for yourself. I didn't expect it to be as fun as it was. Also one of the draws is that the quick-action-button sequences (whatever you want to call those) are fucking insane. For the boss in the demo, your character eventually jumps up and swings unto a bulldozer and uses it to crush a huge spider or something. It's hilariously over the top and stylish! |

hehe. Actuaaaaally. I never bought it. I've been waiting on Sigma 2 since NG2 came out. I've rented it but never completed it. I'm buying Sigma 2 for sure though.
I haven't played Ninja Blade.....didn't it get pretty bad reviews? Not that reviews really determine how good a game is...just curious though. I don't remember why I didn't want to try it, but I know there was a reason. |

Oddly enough I never cared for the older DMC games, but enjoyed DMC4 quite a bit.
Anyways, I have to STRONGLY go against recommending NG2. As a HUGE fan of the original game, I gave up on the second one pretty quickly. The difficulty wasn't bothersome as I traversed through the original on Hard and nearly cleared the second tournament (the one that replaced nearly all enemies, holy shit that was godly hard), but the game just felt completely broken and incomplete. I don't remember having an issue with the camera in the first game, but it bothered the hell out of me in this one. I remember one of the first bosses in the game was constantly "behind" the camera in this small room, so you couldn't see him at all. The framerate sucked and the game is even known to freeze at many random parts. With that game you could tell Team Ninja's engine was at an end. Yeah it was fine in the DOA games, but it was just horrible.
Apparently in this day and age though, companies can "retry" to develop their game again, as they're doing so with Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma. It really boils my piss to look at the 360 version and think "Hey, thanks for this broken incomplete Xbox port!" because that's what it felt like.

ie: Get Ninja Blade instead. Now that game runs great and makes you feel like a God. It was apparently developed by the same guys behind the Otogi series on the Xbox, which I sadly only got a taste of. Even worse is that I checked to see if those games were compatible with the 360 and they're not. |

Preach it, Shuyin. Those are 3 utterly great games.
EDIT: Said '4' instead of '3'. Derp. |

But yeah, Serious Sam and PD look noice. NOICE.
It's NOT TMNT IV. Look at it that way.
TMNT III NES is still my favorite nonetheless. |

I didn't hear anything about PD, that was my favorite game for the N64!

All my friends love it actually and I've gone through the game with tons of people. , it's an awesome XBLA game, but were you expecting it to top the original anyways? My only real gripe is that the music is pretty sucky, other than that it's worth the buy. I'd like to see beat em' ups return...
Lots of good future XBLA titles on the way though. Shadow Complex is probably going to be incredible, since they've come out and said the gameplay is heavily inspired by Metroid, Castlevania, etc. Serious Sam HD will kick some serious ass (heheheeh, but seriously have you guys seen comparison screenshots? talk about a facelift), and I'm eagerly awaiting the Perfect Dark port, which is also going to sport a sharper resolution and upgraded framerate. |

Get ready for tears then.
The music added the icing to the cake. I listened to the original OST a lot last night, since the new soundtrack totally blows. Silly Ubisoft. They just can't work Konami magic. |

I've been hearing that they more or less ported the arcade version with new graphics and you can attack diagonally.
Still a childhood favorite though, and $10 is a steal. |

If you mean the Turtles in Time remake, I hear it's pretty lame. Looks pretty lame, too. Such a shame. Just porting the SNES version to Arcade would've done just fine. |

Ah, I totally forgot about Wolverine! I was going to buy that a while back but with budget constraints and all...
Looks like I'll pretty much be getting all of the above, I just don't know what to get first... |
