Continuum shift is out in some arcades now. It's pretty difficult to find one.

I got to play a couple of times over the week....and man...some characters are buuuuffed.

Poor poor Rachel though....she's incredibly difficult to win with now. =(

Right! Nothing is set in stone. All the new data is coming from the loketests in japan that they're having every weekend. But Hakumen got some serious buffs from what I've been reading.

Hazama seems like he's going to be cool. From the videos i've seen, he seems pretty unique.

Edit: Rachel isn't as bad as the previous loketest.

Fuck me. Being in Korea sucks right now. I really wanted this game but the PXs around here don't have crap for games. I don't know if I'll be getting it once I'm in the states since Modern Warfare 2 is coming out. I'll be on that all day every day.

Rachel needed slight nerfing, but a nuetering is never called for. D=

Especially when Tager becomes even more intense.

There are major buffs and nerfs with the cast. Tager is going to beast even more! But they neutered my poor Rachel.

I haven't a chance to use his Astral. I've been practicing it a litte bit, but I haven't had many oppurtunities. When I win it's often a straight victory. I've used his Distortion Counter a couple times, but yeah. Hakumen's combos often take off like 30-50% health, haha. Mightyyyy.

I WAS unbeatable with him, but today I lost twice to two shitty spammers. Total off day. Noel's D kept hitting me, bleh, careless.

Yeah, I'm worthless with Hakumen. But I do know you can combo his 63214 C Distortion from his counter Distortion. It's pure flash, because i'm sure you could just use a combo in place of the Distortion.....but it's pretty

I had said I was trying to combo supers....I meant Astrals. Here are the ones I know of:

Tao- Back throw -> Astral

Jin- Majority of his Ice drives or either throw-> Astral

Noel- D->6C->Astral

Bang- 2D -> JC ->Astral or CH 5D in corner-> JC ->Astral

How are you fairing with Hakumen's Astral? It seems like it could be easy to use on scrubs.

One easy Distortion Combo for Hakumen is doing Dowb+C (crouching, upward slashing) into his big sword shockwave. Simple, and of course knocks lots of health off. So far I've managed to get a few KOs with that distortion, good stuff. Heh, one time against an Arakune, where I used it right when he went underground so it hit him when he popped back up.

And yeah, it'd be cool to fight you. D= Curse the companies and not working together to have online over different systems. It splits the community!

Oh, Shuyin, have you beat Score Attack yet? =D

Oh and thanks for the site. Helpful for learning combos! I'm totally set on using Hakumen. I'll use Jin as a 3rd main, because I really like him as a character, but he's used like Ken.

EDIT: Well I have found ONE decent combo that uses a Rapid Cancel with Hakumen. Connect with the stomp (6B), Rapid, then immediately do 2C which propels them into the air. Jump quickly and B, B, 214B (which propels them furhter up) and then double jump into a C or whatever (maybe even a grab?). The rapid cancel ensures it's not a false combo (aka they can tech away).

In short form: 6B -> Rapid -> 2C -> j.B -> j.B -> 214B -> 2j.C

Not that I think you're using Hakumen, but I want it here as reference in case I improve on it or just flat out debunk it.

From what I've seen RC's aren't as used in combos as Roman Cancels were in Guilty Gear. I'm not a Hakumen player but being that an RC's take up half of your tension and Hakumen uses his Tension for the majority of his specials, RC combos don't seem like they'd be too helpful.

I'm no where near pro, but I'd say i'm pretty good. I only RC for mind games rather than adding more hits to combos.

Are you familiar with Dustloop? It's a good site for Blazblue combos/tips.

Edit: Too bad we have it for seperate systems. I want to play you =(

True, true. I've been doing pretty well with Hakumen so far. That blade of his does some GREAT damage and hits pretty good because it's also pretty quick. I'm not too shabby with his counters, too, so I usually do alright.

I won't say I am anywhere near good, it's still early and I haven't learned of any major combos for Hakumen (I assume many will involve Rapid Cancels).

I've played a good Carl in the arcade, but I've yet to run into any decent ones online......actually i've only run into one online and he sucked.

The Clap loop is the only thing that makes Carl anywhere near a threat. He's got the lowest amount of life and a tremendous learning curve. When a game prorates damage in combos, infinites aren't that bad....Especially when it's only possible in certain situations. I mean if a Carl bursts at full life, Tager's 720 will kill him in one hit. You have to give the little guy something.

Haha, I stink so badly as Bang. I'm not exactly sure WHY, I just do. XD

I've been working on the offline achievements. With them now gone (Score Attack was utter hell), I will focus on practicing for realz. Ideally I would like Hakumen, Jin and Taokaka to be my mains. Iron Tager is tempting, though, he can rock big time, and his Astral heat is fucking amazing.

Currently I have only played 12 Player Matches. I am 9-3 currently.

Have you ever seen a good Carl Clover player? It seems the way to win with him is pure cheapness. You juggle the opponent between Nirvana and Carl in the air over and over and they can't do anything about it.

I've been using Rachel since I started playing it a couple of months ago. But now I'm finding i'm doing a lot better with Iron Tager. He's such a beast!

I'm currently trying to figure out how to combo supers. So far I can only combo Jin's, Bang's, Noel's and Taokaka's.

After a few days of play, I quite enjoy it! Hakumen is totally awesome, I just had to make a theme based off his greatness. XD I have yet to really play online, been focusing on beating Stories and such. I had 2 matches against this Rachel-user. First match I worked him/her with Hakumen, second match I used Bang and got slapped around (won one round though via Distortion Finish).

It took getting used to, and I still am quite getting used to stuff, but I love it. Except Carl. I dare say he is a piece of shit.
