Update... I have currently begun to sever my ties with 143rd by getting "stuck" in Rome, GA. I am on RST currently with this unit and they are currently showing me all evidence that they are fighting to bring me with them >.> |

That works. Study hard and kick ass! I took a practice test back in high school... heh heh, I don't think I got even half of them right. |

actually there is a way out. The 209th broadcasting detatchment wants me to retake my ASVAB so that I can score a 107. I scored a 100 bare minimum to get enlistment. They want me to raise it 7 points. Which I think I can do that. =P The practice questions have all be REALLY easy and I feel pretty confident about it. |

Is there no way to get them to reverse the decision? |

So yeah.. I just got orders to go to Kuwait with a transportation company right when I signed my paper work to go to the 209th Broad Casting Operations Detachment. When I was notified of this, ofcourse I left to start my Phase 1 Soldier Readiness Program. Which is administrative crap, dental, medical, and getting your first anthrax shot... Let me tell you... you thought the flu made you feel like crap. I don't know why, but along with my arm burning like crazy I just felt sick as a dog the next day. I got both typhoid and anthrax. Can't wait for my 2nd anthrax shot.
Anyway, I find out that after spending six months training in my MOS they are putting me through an involuntary reclass. Meaning they are MAKING me go to Truck driver's school. Honestly... I am over it, but I'm slightly pissed off by this. No my bonus isn't going to go away, but I'm not wanting to be a truck driver when I have a cool job working with all the electronic gizmos the army has to offer. .... No one told me I was going to reclass. Look my MOS is very rare these days. Only 60% actually go through the school and make it through, but this is not supposed to happen.... This is like going from New York and Company straight down to Goodwill. There are plenty of truck drivers in this army, it makes no fucking sense to me. |
