I am flying out of Los Angeles, and I did request window seat for all the flights... which should be interesting since I am afraid of heights. How bad is the ear popping part? That really is my main concern, since I have problems with it just going over mountains. Going up I am fine, but coming back down it always takes several hours for them to pop and go back to normal, so I am partially deaf for awhile and it sucks. |

Awesome stuff. I have relatives on my dad's side in Philly. We rarely visit, which is sad really. Because I'm in the army I haven't been there as much as the rest of my family. The last time I was there was 06 or 05 for Thanksgiving. It's good to see you not afraid of taking your first flight. Key advice; turbulence will hit. Always does, depending how high you go. DON'T be afraid of it. It happens with every flight. It's actually a little weird if it doesn't. Just remember that little bit. Get a window seat. I don't know where you're flying from, but if you happen to go above 20,000 feet or so the view of the clouds from above is amazing, especially if it's a very cloudy day.
Oh Katana, if you've been to any McDonalds in the Philly area chances are it may be owned by my aunt and uncle. They own quite a few along the east coast, but I'm not sure which ones. |

Genos or Pat's...most people I know of say Geno's though...either way, no problem.  You guys won't be afraid to go through bad neighborhoods to get there? Ha. Sucky draw back...it's like "Wtf...Geno's....Pat's....why must I wear bullet proof gear to taste the greatness?"  |

Well, we were thinking of doing a day trip out to Philly to be honest... but otherwise his mom lives outside of Pittsburgh, so we have little choice there. But yeah, if we do get to do that I would love for you to drag us around center city. All I ask is you take us to wherever the best philly steak place in town is... I want to try an authentic one dammit. |

I had my first (and only) plane flight(s) when I went to Las Vegas during spring break in the 7th grade. We technically had 4 flights, 2 going to and 2 leaving. It was fun for the first 2 but during the second set, I ended up catching an ear infection, the flu and tonsillitis. Kinda killed the whole experience for me. |

After this semester ends, my boyfriend and I will be flying out to Pittsburgh, PA to visit his mom and give me the chance to see what the area is like... since it looks like I moving out there in a year or so. We will be there from May 27th - June 10th. We might be taking a trip into Philadephia one day but we are not sure yet.
But like I said, I've never been on a plane before. So this should be fun for me. |
