Celebrities don't even fucking know what they're endorsing half the time. Think about all the commercials celebrities do about products they NEVER use. They're in the millions, probably.
This really doesn't surprise me. |

Hate to say it, but I think taht this article is overstating things. If you ignore the frequent references to scientology, you get this for the school he's funding:
#1 it uses experience to teach, letting the students use what they know. #2 if a student is disobedient, he doesn't go to the principle, he goes to the ethics instructor. #3 They have some vocabulary program, which really isn't all that strange. #4 they have healthy food, which schools could really use. Sure, it uses a lot of ideas created by Hubbard, most of which are good ones. I strongly disapprove of a lot of ideas in scientology, but not this. Also, according tot he article, only the sites glossary even mentions scientology. So, in other words, Will Smith is funding a school that looks good, and happens to use a few ideas from Scientology. Where's the problem here? I think that a lot of the entertainment business is under the false impression that if something is like Scientology, it is automatically evil, ignoring the fact that no religion is purely bad, and all of them have merits. I really don't care that he's doing it. |

Yep, not surprised.
Scientology's claiming a lot of Hollywood's "elite." Aside from Jason Lee and Nancy Cartwright, they haven't really claimed anyone I'm into. Why, Jason, WHY?!?!?!?! Eh, oh well. |

Will Smith: Scientology Wasn't for Me
Will Smith funds school teaching Scientology creator's study method. Ain't the Fresh Prince ... no more? |
