Hmm, I'll definitely look into it then. I've been interested in watching another Production IG anime.

Xeo, believe me, Blood+ has plenty of maturity. The girl looks young, and in fact she's supposed to be still in high school, but she's hardly the main spotlight of the show.

Yeah, she's the one everyone talks about, and the one everyone notices, but Riku, her older brother, seems to take the spotlight more than her, has the most emotional growth, and at least in the last half of the series, is probably a bigger character than Saya.

Seriously Xeo, ignore how she looks, it's awesome anyway, and probably ranks higher than even Trigun on my list of favorite anime.

The thing that turns me off a bit is the look of the (main?) female character, she looks a little young. I know that's a silly excuse, but after just having watching all of Ghost in the Shell and everything I think I'm still in the mood for some more mature stuff...

Will do then, hopefully I can knock a couple episodes back after this appointment, and tell y'all what i think of it.

EDIT:I watched 3 episodes, and I gotta say, I like it. Good call guys/gals.

That's bull right there. I liked Blood: The Last Vampire. It was very good because it literally lead to Blood + as a prequel. The manga is very schweet too. There is a lot of background story that was put into a 50 minute show. So I do understand the feelings you had.

Saya was so badass in Blood: The Last Vampire though.

Believe me, Genome, this is well worth watching.

I finished it about a month ago, and I really loved it. The only thing about the show that I didn't like was the first episode, though I'm not sure why. The second episode, however, was very awesome.

And the ending was very good, though a bit sad for some of the characters, and definitely open for a sequel, though I doubt it will happen.

Yeah.

...yeah.

This, unfortunately. My record for episodes in-a-row is 21, but it was Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann so it's A-OK. I need to find a reason to sit down and watch this, because I'm out of anime(aside from Gundam 00, still >.>)

EDIT: Yeah this was kinda a bump, but I thought it was okay in here. Sorry if I was wrong.

Yeah, I can honestly say I'm not a big fan of the first movie (despite the cool cyberpunk setting and atmosphere) but so far the series is really awesome. I think because it's much longer in length, it just has more time to flesh out the characters and an interesting plot. Something I don't really think the original movie had.

I also finished Seirei no Moribito recently, a fantasy/drama/adventure that was made by some of the same staff behind the Ghost in the Shell series. Seirei no Moribito was really incredible, so I'm assuming Blood+ must be very top notch as well.

Actually Xeo, you'll be interested to know that Blood+ is actually made by the same guy in charge of Ghost in the Shell.

I haven't watched Ghost in the Shell(except for one of the movies), but I hear it's really good too, and is next on my list of anime to watch.

Four episodes typically = a DVD. Nice.

My record I believe was 18 episodes of Death Note in a row. What can I say, that show really pulls you in if you enjoy it.

But yeah, I've done that too with shows. Watched one episode here, then just kind of push it to the side. I usually regret it, lol. I did this with Ghost in the Shell: SAC and now I'm mainly watching it and well, it's really awesome.

Yeah, I actually saw episode one and then took a fairly long break too, the first episode didn't really grab me that much.

However, then I watched the second episode, and I loved it.

I just watched four episodes in a row, and I'm still continuing. What fun.

I've been interested in this series, but I've got a lot on my plate right now (that I'm watching) and I think it's like 50 some episodes? Would like to see it sometime though.

I looked through...everywhere, and I discovered something disturbing...You all don't have a thread on Blood+!

Anyway, I started whating this anime about a week ago, and it is awesome. Right now, it's rivalling Trigun as my favorite anime(I'm only 17 episodes into it, so it may overtake Trigun).

Anyway, has anyone else seen this, if so what are your thoughts on it?
