So I sat about with a pair of tweezers, peeling off what skin was coming up. I'm a compulsive skin picker and can't help myself sometimes.

Fuck, does it smart. It looks and feels so damn raw. Oh jeez.

Yeah I started working at the beach about a month ago. My third day into it, i come home and my face is dry up and my skin peeling. I forgot to wear sunscreen. Odd thing is, i'm in a protected booth the entire time. No contact with the sun whatsoever. Anyways, 3 days worth of sun equals 3 weeks of lotion to repair my face.

PS someone in this forum also works at the same place i do, but doesnt realize it =P

No new sunburns for me.... although it is over 100 degrees constantly. We hit 112 over the weekend... but I was in the mountains where it was only 90-ish... It'll probably get really humid with the the 105+ temperatures like it did last year, too. =(

It had been about the same for me up in Virginia. Temperatures hit 100 once or twice a week ago, but it's cooled off to the upper 70s-upper 80s range for now.

That absolutely fucking sucks, Nagis. I hate humidity. What the hell? Rain and lightning and STILL 90-92 degrees?

And yeah, Thex, I do sort of envy you on that one. I used to be like that. Then I guess my dad's genetics kicked in and now even slight exposure fries me.

Best three words I can describe Georgia right now, it is way to hot outside. Sucks I have to walk to work everyday. *shrugs*

I am somewhat burned around my arms, but the humidity is what kills me.

It takes me hours to get even a mild burn. And I hold a tan very well.

My mother is not amused when I remind her of that; she came back from North Carolina one summer a shade of red I don't often see outside of certain types of fruit.

The heat bugs me enough to make up for that, though.

So I'm sporting a rather severe bodice burn (my chest is redder than cooked lobster).

Kinda sucks that it didn't even out with my past burns from a few weeks ago.

Now I have four-toned boobs: parts are dark red (burned tanned area), red (newly burned skin), brown (tanned parts that weren't burned), and white (hasn't been exposed to sunlight EVER).

So yeah, it's hot these days and my next door neighbor's a busybody cunt about my fan I need to be able to breathe in my own room. Everyone else all right?

Yeah we're going through that too.

We were having some hot nights that you needed to leave the bedroom window open for just so you could breathe at night. Now you have to be sure to dress in layers. Sometimes many layers--shirt, sweater, jacket, etc.

I guess it's being along the Pacific that does it. Good grief.

SO..... it's already been about 100? this year, where I am. No clouds in sight. I got sunburned about a month ago at an autocross (a bunch of fancy cars running a road course).... it was about 85? then.... and it is only getting hotter! YAY PALM DESERT!! Anyway, my next sunburn will probably be at the Renaissance Faire on the 10th up in Irwindale. <3 I'm already starting to carry around sunblock, but seeing as how I'm only outside at night, except for driving the 4 minute drive to work, I can avoid the sun daily. It pays to be a night owl. ^-^

You can catch a sunburn during any sunny day, even if it's cold. That's why people in Britain are still getting slight tans even though it's fricking cold at the moment. Cold doesn't stop the UV rays!

I've been avoiding the sun myself. But yeah, faire plans this year are for May 3rd. Hope you can make it, we got a newbie this year.

How you actually catch a Sunburn if it's spring weather.

Where I live, it can be as hot and intense as a summer day almost any time in the year. It doesn't snow where I live, and though we do get some REALLY cold winter nights, we're still usually on the warm and sunny side.

That is until you get the random 95-degree days in late winter and early spring.

Our summers are getting harsher. I mean, they aren't as bad as Arizona, New Mexico, or even some Texas summers, but ours can be downright unbearable.

I never get one unless it's Summer Weather.

I got bad sunburns in Costa Rica, but it's maintaining a good temperature here in Northern California.
It's 72 degrees here now, and thats pretty average. It's sunny though.

Sunshine with no clouds and a cold breeze.

Now that's my kind of spring time.

It's cloudy and cold here. We get sun sometimes, but it's not particularly hot. It's a very cold/cool town that I live in. But it's right at the coast facing the ocean, so yeah.

Besides, it's only April! When we get into summer-summer, it can get warmth, but with a cool breeze. Yay!

It's only reached the 80s around here.

Anyway, I can get sunburned pretty badly, and I've never tanned, but luckily, a bit of sunblock pretty much always does the trick, and I'm get no worries.

Also, Rogue, have you tried spray-on sunscreen? If you get a fairly expensive type, it usually doesn't have much of the greasy-skin(mine has none) and has the side bonus of being easier to apply, and thus, less likely to allow sunburn.
