Really killtacular anime so far. I'm on episode 17 and it's been pretty good, though I read some reviews recently that state "overall" it ends up being a little disappointing. Apparently the characters don't get a lot of needed development towards the end and it doesn't really conclude, kind of sad. Either way, this doesn't seem like an anime to take "super seriously". The action is extremely over the top but it's fun to watch because of the insanely good art and animation. The characters are great and the humor is often pretty hilarious (lots of racism too). The anime gets compared to the likes of Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Gungrave, etc and rightfully so. It's not episodic based, but has some small arc's here and there spread out between the anime, like little "missions" I guess. All in all, it seems like a pretty good action anime that's just fun and enjoyable.

Plot Summary: Okajima Rokuro is a Japanese businessman?in a town full of Japanese businessmen. His normal day consists of social drinking with clients and being kicked around by his bosses. He finally gets a break though, as he?s sent by his company to the tropical seas of Eastern China to deliver a disc?only his boat gets hijacked by a band of mercenaries that were hired to steal it. ?Rock? (as he is newly dubbed by his captors) catches the interest of the only female merc ?Revy? as she thinks he?s worth a ransom, taking him hostage. However, the disc turns out to be more trouble than its worth, and complicates things both for Rock, and the mercenaries known as Black Lagoon.
