Robert was equally confused, although for different reasons. Why someone with elite computer hacking skills would be put on a murder case was beyond him, he thought. He flicked through the pages, stopping at page 33. He barely gave the images a second thought. He'd seen similar and worse images.

His laptop was closed and set on standby, hung from a strap around his neck and left shoulder. He was seated, however constantly shuffling, unable to get comfortable. He had no idea what kind of use he would be, especially not having much experience in this kind of crime.

"Excuse me, but what use would I be on this mission?" He asked the captain.

Cailyn shot Agent Wyett a cold stare. She took in a deep breath, however, to refrain from commenting. She knew he was correct. Not everyone in the van looked prepared to be on the field, herself included, and he had every right to know who could fire a gun and who couldn't.

Slowly and silently, she exhaled her breath, shifting her position in her seat, but not saying a word. any questions she may have would come later, when it came time for her write ups of everything she observed. No sense asking things that didn't exist now.

Captain Smith looked towards Benjamin Nolte, "actually, I think that you'll find that the man we've been assigned to protect is just as afraid of us as he is of the murderer. It's complicated, but let's just say that when he sold his company two years ago, he declared that he hated the United States government, making him into an anarchist."

Smith looked around at everyone, and then spoke louder, "let me make it perfectly clear, if it weren't for the fact that this is a perfect chance to catch our serial killer, this man would be left to rot for all anyone cares."

He looked aroudn the van, and another man spoke, "Jack Wyett Sir," he said. "Are all of us field agents? It seems to me as thoguh a lot of us aren't really fit for the field quite yet."

Captain Smith shook his head. We mostly put you all into one place so that you would be briefed at the same time, but in this van, we have all the technology any nonfield agent could need."

"Any more questions?"

Cailyn Gaeta nodded as she listened intently as Captain Smith laid out their task. Her fingers were laced together, balancing on her knees that she hunched over. Her blue eyes gazed up at Smith as she rested her chin upon her hands.

When she was first given the assignment, Cailyn fell out of her chair laughing. She didn't think it was serious. A joke to be played on the new kid. However, minutes later, she found herself on her way to Virginia. Cailyn's father, Zachary Gaeta, who was first called upon, but was unable to accept the job. They turned to his daughter on his recommendation.

Now, she sat in the van, still in disbelief.

When she opened the manual, just as they were told. She did not flinch, as the grotesque images flashed themselves before her.

Just as the debriefing finished, Cailyn closed her book and looked up at Captain Smith with her blue eyes and nodded. They were sent there so quickly, there was no time for research, but she knew that her task would come into play later. Those pictures and phone calls would be important to her.

Benjamin Nolte was a man who rolled with the punches. He sat with his eyes closed, drawing smoke from his Cuban cigar as Captain Smith debriefed the group. He'd only been a member of this new, high-profile unit of the FBI for five hours now, but he'd play this game with his strengths.

"I'm assuming we don't really have time to dig into past cases, so our priority is keeping our target safe. We need to contact him and get him mingled into a heavily populated area until we reach him. The more witnesses, the more likely we'll be able to apprehend the fugitive or get a positive ID on him if he comes."

Dr. Knight was a little confused. As the man had said, five hours ago he was transferred into this unit. And now they wanted him to catch and most likely kill someone who is enacting terrible violence upon people whom he doesn't know. How are we supposed to stop someone who can do that? I don't even have a real gun. Dr. Knight was too afraid to raise his voice in front of this man, so he simply shifted lower in his seat. This was an uncomfortable experience, Johnathon just wished for some normalcy, he wanted to have a person on the operating table, closing up some wounds. Being a hero.

Captain Smith looked around the large van, and saw all the people who would be involved in this investigation. Seven members of the FBI, seven of the BEST members of the FBI.

"Sorry for the rush," Smith said. As soon as everyone had reached Virginia, they had all been rushed into a large van, where they were all sitting. "As you all know, just five hours ago, you were transferred to a newly created section of the FBI. We are the best of the FBI, and our job is to do whatever it takes to stop a series of murders that have been happenning all over the United States. We're all to do whatever it takes to stop these murders."

"In your seat, you should have each recieved a folder, which contains information on these murders. Open it to page thirty-three."

Smith reached down and grabbed his own folder, and opened it. On this page, there were several pictures of the reamins of the victims...something more than blood and gore spread along the wall.

"We don't knwo waht that is," Smith said. "but we know that before each of these murders, there has been a tip to the police, informing them of the murder only minutes before it happens. So far, no one has managed to reach the scene of the crime before the victim has been killed.

"But today we have more notice. Half an hour ago, we were told that Nick Calhoon, a man who used to own a technological research company, is going to be murdered sometime within the next hour. That's why we piled you all into the van so fast, and didn't give you a proper briefing. Yuo are going to go and find Mr. Calhoon, and try to stop the murder before it even happens."

He looked around the van, "any questions?"
