Originally posted by Ryan Yeah, I played the expert one for two of my songs... first time it actually bothered me that the little pads at the bottom of my mouse were worn down. It's really crazy when to see people get those two bonuses and the 20-30% bonus for an 11 block streak... double score ftw? (PS: totally forget what the biggest chains actual number was, or the percentage boost, but you get my point) |

Yeah, restarting my computer fixed it. Heh. This game is crazy awesome, pretty intense with metal. |

Genome: The Mono characters are Mono, Mono Pro and Ninja Mono. Ninja Mono (The expert one) is the one you should have played very early on. Lots more gray notes, much bigger challenge.
FX: Quit acting like a mod. I thought exactly Genome's first thoughts when I first saw the game in action. Also, that guy sucked at Never Gonna Give You Up... Too many gray notes, and he got rid of them too often. He lost loads of points. Not hitting a single gray block gives a 30% bonus at the end. And if you also clear with an empty storage, you get a 25% bonus added on. ^___^ |

Once again... yeah, sorry. :/ Agreed, and it's hard to come by a game nowadays that doesn't hinge on explosions and violence... so I fixed it with really angry music. |

Just, something that's a complete thought, or at least a complete sentence. I loved the demo (try out Cake's "I Will Survive") and am downloading the full version now. The game can really be best described as an interactive visualizer... |

Originally posted by Sussoloc Ythgim EhtOriginally posted by Genome total spam, you're right... but what more should I say? Also, downloaded the demo like, an hour after my last post... It's pretty amazing, but the demo didn't last long enough for me to get very good at it(still tried the second ninja mono guy, whatever he was...). Black Dahlia Murder has a pretty good cover of Paint it black... someone want to tray that on an expert difficulty? |

Originally posted by Genome Spam. Also, isn't this like that one game that Red Octane put out ages ago? EDIT: Installing the demo. |

This sucks, I can't play anything. I've tried a countless amount of songs and they all cause the came to crash on me ... maybe I'll restart my computer. |

Well it was unlocked at 1pm PST (9pm for me then) and damn it's still fun. Some of the Orange Box Soundtrack is awesome for it too. Most of them have a corkscrew in which is really annoying but pretty to watch.
I am currently the champion on You Can't Escape You Know (Portal final boss I believe) using Ninja Mono and collecting just under 40,000 points. |

I can't imagine how insane it'll be to play some "metal" levels. |

So did I, but DAMN IT'S TAKING TOO LONG TO UNLOCK! COME ON STEAM! LET ME PLAY IT! PLEEEEEAAAASSSEEE!!!!! |
Xeoman Posts: 7017/11757 |
Yeah I pre-purchased it from Steam for 10% off and you get the Orange Box OST with it. It looks insanely awesome. |

This game so beats DDR
You control a little space ship with a character of your choice (Each character creating a different style of play) and you fly down a track collecting various coloured blocks to arrange them in groups of individual colours to clear them and give you points. You can import any song into Audiosurf and it supports many types of file. It generates the track based on the music, so every song will be a different experience. Depending on the speed or calmness of the song or parts of a song, the track may slope up or down, up to show a calm slow part and down to show a heavy fast part. The track can also corkscrew, and it's rumoured that it can loop-the-loop on some songs. I bought this game on Steam (So far the only place I've seen it available) as I played the open beta and it was incredibly good addicting fun. |
