Im really starting to get really stressed working at the Waffle house, so once I can get my hands on a vehicle, and enough money for gas to last me at least 2 weeks, I might get into the salesperson buisness either at Circuit City, or Sears. Depending if things go well or not.

Too many stoned idiots go there to piss me off.

data entry is soooo easy. You don't have to have experience for some data entry positions. My position I got trained with. Check out those jobs. data entry and call center.

Applying for TSA can't hurt either. I mean, you'll get to be a Fed (a low one, at that), but you'll have full medical, dental, insurance, life insurance, and a US Federal Agent ID Card. It'll probably make you really bitter and make you hate all travelers, but hey, what's life like if you don't end up hating someone. And, you'll have a nice pension going for retirement, or cashing out when you've separated.

And, you'll get that awesome rent-a-cop uniform.

Or, Postal Worker. Those are Federal positions as well. Check with your city government too. I know that the City of Los Angeles is constantly hiring based on opening they have all over the city, ranging from $20,000/year positions as County Clerk to the higher $70,000 for Police Detective.

I have to agree on the Best Buy thing. At least where Zabuza and I live. The few friends I have that are computer-competent and have applied there have been told they're over-qualified. Whereas the two friends I have who were somehow hired: one didn't know ANYTHING about computers, just how to lie his ass off, thus they considered him a good salesman. The other only knows how to gut computers and they hired him for Geek Squad. My best guess is they wanted someone who would only temporarily fix a problem so that Geek Squad would get repeat business having to be called back again to "fix" the problem.

I don't know how it is in Kansas, but here in California, they want you to sell things people don't need. Also in many places they've switched to commission so you'll fight to make money anyway.

Though I'm not too keen on finding jobs (lucky for me, most of the ones I've had have fallen into my lap), maybe you could try state or federal jobs. Postal work, perhaps? From what those I know who've worked either there's better job security and benefits.

What are you majoring in? Usually it's best to try and find jobs in the field you want to go into so that after college you're more prepared.

Retail is always a good min wage thing, if you're going for that. Personally, I've never held a position below $8 per hour. Disney was $9.10 when I left. I make $18/hour now working on cell phone games. $27/hour when I'm on overtime.

But, Career Builder is a good one for a few of the lower category jobs. Local newspaper and just doing a walk-in to places is fine too.

Or, if you have much of a resume, toss one together and create a Monster account. Maybe LinkedIn when you get a bit more experience. Make the companies come to you, and such.

Hey, is that 17,000-mile oil any good to put in a car that hasn't had synthetic ever, and has about 37,000 miles on it?

Yeah,b ut a lot of states vary in their minimum wage. For instance, here in NC, our minimum wage is $6.15.

Honestly though, I'd reccomend Office Max, it's an awesome store.

Oh, that's a good one.

I hope that would be helpful for me though. I mean, yes what are the odds. Am I really qualified for any simple job I'm gonna work at. Think again. Badly, I do need money for stuff I need and go on Vactations. But I have NO Plans for college though. Waste of my fucking time.

I've already got my Health Insurance, but I'll unable to change the Health Plan until 9 months are passed.

Try to apply for a job at United Parcel Service.

They pay very well, and they're good to work for while you're going to college. Lemme give you the heads up...

1. After a few months, you be in the Teamsters Union.

2. And after a few more months you'll get Aetna Health Insurance. And if you're married with children they also benefit too.

3. Having major holidays off with pay, after you been there a certain amount of months.

4. If you have a drivers license, you can also work on getting your CDL and make even more money.

5. They help you with college and even give you loans to continue as long as your grades are up.

6. Sick days, vacation pay.

Give it a try, hope I was helpful...

Get a job at Best Buy. With your knowledge, you can make some good sales, and if you make good sales, you could get a heafty raise.

Fennicy makes 9 bucks an hour there. (Then again, Their wages and cost of living is much higher than it is here in GA, Freakin 9 bucks for a pack of smokes.)

Well, around here, Lowe's pays over $8/hr starting pay. Maybe you could try there.

If you've got any Sheetz gas stations nearby, their starting pay here is $8.75. They're only in a few states though.

Edit: Oh, and just for a comparison, VA seems to be on the federal minimum wage, and the local Wal-Mart pays $6.50/hr for Maintenance.

I'm sure you can find a job that pays 7.50. Minimum wage is only 7.15, so naturally it can't by that much harder to find another job.

Chains are always good for college jobs because of the side benefits they offer.

Three fucking years of Jiffy Lube, I just can't take it anymore.

What are good places to work at that could get me through college? I'm hoping for at least a ~$7.50 hourly pay here.
