The Charactaristic Frase SSDD ((Same Shit Different Day)) Applys to my Sunday This week.
Worked the first sunday in a long ass time. My boss complimented my working to the fucking REGIONAL manager and I was like  WOAH!!!!!!!!
For the first time My efforts are going beyond the call of duty and being recognized. So I had a rather none SSDD Day today

Stuff like doing something on some sort of regular basis is nice too. Like Insectduel mentioned about meeting to play a game every Saturday. Since college kicked off, and most of my friends are going to school AND working, things are put off for the summer. Like last summer, Tuesday nights was a movie night with some of my friends. Dunno what this summer will be. Those are the best too though. Just being able to set aside time to do things. |

Today was awesome as well, the first thing that happened was a horseradish eating contest between me and a couple of friends. It was awesome watching them eat it when they had no idea of how to handle it.
Then I wrote a ton more on my book(It'll be written by the end of the year, WOOT! I also enjoyed lemon, the last episode of heroes, and tacos for supper. |

Hell fucking yeah. I worked for 10 hours, and I diddnt expect to make 120+ FUCKING DOLLARS IN TIPS HOLY SHIIIIITTTTTT. PLUS I got paid 64 dollars!
And the good thing is, I only work like 20 hours a week, and tomorrow I work from 5-3 AM again. GOD I love working those shifts. I even got myself some regular customers who enjoyed me ALOT. Katana, Im glad you made this thread, cause I was going to post about how freaking awesome my day was. And im totally glad you had a great day, you have a good guy frind going on, just make sure he treats you right or else Ill kick his ass personally. But overall, im doing fantastic at the waffle house. I work with my aunt, and this sweet woman named Rita. She helped me out on a night that was an abomination of my memory, and in return, I gave her 10 bucks and did all the work she had to do when she had to clock out, so in other words, tonight she will have a free paid hour to sit back and relax, my payment for her helping me out that night. (And my god the tips...the tips are amazing) |

**grins** Just a simple thread about the random little awesome things. The things that just make you feel so incredibly wonderful.
For instance...I haven't felt as good as I do now in a longass time. I had work today and it was utterly insane. My store is a frigging MADHOUSE!! And I wore heels to work...**sigh** I kinda haven't grown since....prolly sometime my freshman year of high school. **Still 5'2** So I've finally grown accustomed to heels. But...they're not good for the workplace. 
Anywho, so I get done work, we just closed, and I step outside, and there my boyfriend is. I had no idea he was going to be there. I just assumed I was gonna head home and call it a night. It was so nice though. He waited a half hour for me and with a proposition: dinner. Teh woot! It was so simple. We went to this place like two minutes away from my work. Ordered soup, soda, and just sat there and talked for about 45 minutes. Then he took me home, and I went right upstairs and took a bath. I used these bath bead thingies for the first time. It makes the water all slimy and stuffs, but it smells so good that it's more theraputic than icky. So, I took an insanely hot bath, relaxed, washed my hair and stuffs, then relaxed some more. Now, I'm sitting here, just in a bathrobe, my hair still wrapped up in a towel, slippers, and just typing away.
Point is, a simple, 45 minute meal, and a long warm bath and I'm feeling sooooo great right now! I'm about to go to bed, but I feel like I'm truly winding down. It's hard to explain. There's a difference between just falling asleep, winding down because of fatigue, and just...simply winding down...the latter being the best feeling and resulting in the best sleep. And a decent amount of sleep will mean a good day tomorrow. Even if shit does go downhill, my body will be rested and well prepared for it.
Anyone else have anything to share that makes you just sit back and honestly feel awesome? |
