You know, I'm sure I read this ages ago and saw it hadn't got any posts for a few days... Where'd those four other ones come from? xD

"You're such a cool person, Danny, I admire that."

xD Katana, I rarely get called that.

But yeah, there are very few girls I know right now that I'd want to ask out... And the majority of these girls I only know from the internets! xD

Also, Rogue, I thought I think the stereotype of chav includes them wearing Burberry, although I've never heard them be called it.

(I think I really like the xD smiley. xD)

Yes, I must also add my Kudos to your actions. But yeah, don't worry too much about rejection... there will be someone that does say yes eventually.

It's already been said, but that's really cool that you went and asked her anyway. You're such a cool person, Danny, I admire that. You're still upbeat about the situation. As long as you get over being afraid of making the first move (for both guys and girls. Guys don't always have to make the first move) you'll end up just fine. And from what it seems, you've already gotten over the hard part.

I don't consider chavs or wiggers societal dregs, I think it's good that you realize that there is a conflict of interest there. In So Cal it really is sort of taboo, for say someone like me to date someone like them if you know what I mean. I think that's what you're going through, so maybe it's not standards it's just...difference.

Yeah, here the equivalent to chavs are people like Kevin Federline or something of the like. Usually rednecky-people who try to act black (pardon the offensive-sounding overtones, but even one of the other synonyms for "chavs" here in the States is "wiggers"). I've heard some call them Burberry, but I thought that was something of a respected brand name.

It's wonderful to have standards really. Wouldn't want you pratting about with any societal dregs, would we?

Best of you luck to you, romantically-speaking.

Well the stereotype shows them as hoody-wearing, rude-mouthed, hanging-around-shops-being-a-nuisance smokers.

And I hate smoking. Which doesn't help that most of my friends smoke. (Although they're not the first and third parts which is a relief.)

The problem is, there are very few girls I would ever consider asking out... Usually due to the fact most of the girls I know are chavs, heavily associated with chavs or they simply hate me for some reason. As you can see, I hate chavs.

But, Rogue, you were right, I've bounced back right quick.

Yeah fucking up those terrorists is always a major outlet. Really, it may sound cliche, but you grow from rejection. High five, on building up the courage. Think of it as a percentage. You can only strike out so many times before you hit a homerun.

Yeah, I've always been pretty good at cheering up... I've never been depressed for more than an hour, and with my newfound skill at Counter Strike, I can get loads of satisfaction exterminating the terrorists.

DEFINITELY woot for you for asking. As many have said, do not regret the things you've done, but those you did not do.

Believe you me, you'll find your happiness again. Considering your attitude about this, I'm sure you'll bounce back right quick.

I finally had the courage to ask this girl out. She's been a good friend of mine for a while and I've liked her in that way for a few weeks too, so I finally gathered the courage to ask her out after a friend pushed me into it.

Probably needless to say I got rejected... I feel quite upset about it, but I'm glad I finally asked instead of waiting in fear of being rejected. It didn't hurt as much as I thought it would, although... I dunno, I just feel a little worse than my usual happy self. Still... Woot for me finally gaining a bit of confidence. ^___^
