Have you read "Legal Drug" by CLAMP? Its actually not that bad, it really cought my eye with the Main character's Gay family, and his partner solving some extremely bizzare paranormal puzzles.

Let's see....
CCS - seen and read
Angelic Layer - Own both versions =P (HUGE fan)
MKR - seen read and own both
Tokyo Babylon - seen
RG Veda - seen
Tsubasa Chronicle - own (japanese dvd)

I'm going for Witchblade when I get my moneh =P

Don't forget Tsubasa Chronicles. CLAMP is great.

NHK ni Yokoso (Welcome to the NHK). It's a more realisitic(ish) anime, about a guy who's basically just a little crazy, and the whacky friends he gains as he tries to cure himself of being a hikkimori (a person who voluntarily shuts themselves from the outside world). It's kind of a weird anime, but I loved all the characters, and was able to connect with it pretty well.

Just finished unpacking my new apartment, and found some more great titles.

Gatekeepers: classic series, I think every true anime fan should see this.
Tokyo Underground: superpowers galore, and more action than you can shake a stick at.
Neon Genesis Evangelion: The quintessential "Oh-wow-Giant-Robots-but-my-God-my-God-why-is-it-raping-my-mind?" anime. If you understand what you saw the first time you finish this series, you're better than me. Took me two marathons to figure out most of it.
Dual: Speaking of Evangelion... This is by the good folks who gave us Tenchi Muyo, and it's a lot funnier if you've seen both Tenchi and Evangelion before you watch this.
Kamichu: What would YOU do if you woke up one morning and realized you were a deity?
Cowboy Bebop: please say you've seen this. It was on Cartoon Network for at least two years. Ultimate space opera
Outlaw Star: Spaceships with wrestling/judo action. What's not to love?

These are pretty mainstream, but...

Range Murata:
-Blue Sub. 6
-Last Exile

Hayao Miyazaki:
-Nausicaa
-Princess Mononoke
-Spirited Away
-Castle in the Sky
-Howl's Moving Castle
-Damn near anything else by that man.

Also, coming soon from his son, "Tales from Earthsea." It looks like he'll be following in his father's footsteps with more epic anime films. I'm excited.

Seen them... Ranma I got real tired of... Chrno Crusade annoyed me... FMP.... I think I watched the wrong season... Or I might be thinking of a different anime. >.> *thinks* I thought it was a soft core porn.... What was it... Ikki Tousen... It just looks like one.

Also I agree with Nagis about Pretear.

Gungrave if you haven't seen it. Epic and tearful.

Thing is, once you've seen there aren't many animes that are as good as this one, imo.

Hmm, it does seem like its just really up there. I've watched various anime here and there since I got done with the series (months ago?) but nothing has really absorbed me and pulled me in. Gundam X, Maison Ikkoku, Bubblegum Crisis, Berserk ...

Bubblegum crisis was one of my classic Favorites, right now I have the 2040 series, but a friend, KwKyMaRt is borrowing it.

Ive seen the classic series on WAM, and its a shame they took it off the air

But I never seen Gungrave, Well, Ive seen bits of it, but the only thing that has came close is the videogame (which I have both muhahahah)

But of course you guys know I'm not the -biggest- anime watchere here, at least definitely not like I used to be (back in my non-working days ... those were the days).

I just finished boxing up about 3/4ths of my anime collection in preparation for moving it to my new apartment, so I could give you a few titles off my DVD rack.

Kino's Journey - slice-of-life type series, very compelling storyline. And it has a talking motorcycle! What could be more cool than that, eh?
Daphne in the Brilliant Blue - action, fanservice, mystery, fanservice, stunning artwork, fanservice, and a plot that actually works in the real world. Oh, did I mention the fanservice? It's completely unnecessary of course, the series would have been plenty awesome without it, but whatever, right?
Haibane Renmei - deep, soulful, and done by the people who brought us Serial Experiments Lain. And if you've never seen Lain, then what the hell is wrong with you?

Without knowing your preferences that's a good start. All three of those should appeal to just about anyone.

You should find something that you never heard of yet. But I honestly don't know.

The Anime Boys over Flowers really suck so don't bother watching it. It's not the same as the manga.

I recommend Ceres Celestrial Legend or Utena.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.. I can't see why people wouldn't like it.

VERY IMPORTANT, watch PAST the first episode.

Death Note. It's amazing.
