Not to hijack the thread for my selfish needs, but Danny Phantom. You are the most British person on this board. Congrats.
He said "That'd get me a few bottles of pop or a quarter pounder with chips..." If you all missed it. BRITISH GUY! |

Yeah, all the buses in the greater Los Angeles area seem to be exact change only as well. |

I don't have a subway near me. Buses are my town's ONLY form of public transport, besides the overly priced taxis.
Oh, we also have a train station... Not much help though considering it's in the town... |

I just took subways. Why don't you take one once in a while. Don't waste time on Buses. |

I have the same problem with buses. The transporation system I use is pretty good though. You can call and see if your bus is on schedule. Are you sure you're utilizing all of their resources? |

One issue I DO have with the buses are the fact they do not carry change in the morning. I had trouble this morning when trying to ride the bus, one bus didn't have ANY change whatsoever, while another treated me like a five year old and made me say "Sorry" for using a note. I wouldn't have minded if it was a high value note, but it was fricking £5!!! It costs me £0.90, and with the ammount of people on the bus, surely it wouldn't be hard to dig out 4 £1 coins and a 10p piece... I was almost late for work experience because of it. Screw buses, I'd rather fix my bike and save myself £1.80 a day... That'd get me a few bottles of pop or a quarter pounder with chips... |

Do you. Do you really "hat" the bus?
This must be some sort of new wave ghetto lingo I've never heard of. |

Sending a letter or an email about this is a good idea.
Is that link that you posted updated? It says that there was a change in the schedule effective on 6/10/07. Though I guess since it's been a month that probably is the updated version anyways. |

I would send a letter or email complaining about it. The bus that goes just outside my street is mostly very reliable, except during the times where the amount of time between buses is really big on Sunday (One bus an hour instead of one every twnety minutes on Monday to Saturday) where they can be quite unpredictable.
Then again, I guess I'm good at waiting. |

Calling and complaining about this does seem to be a good option. However writing an email or letter may be better, or having your parents call to complain so that it doesn't get written off as some kid complaining. Better yet, get as many people to complain as you can so that they get the message clearly. |

I checked it online. They have 2 schedules. Weekends and weekdays. It was a weekday. Here's the link, compare it to my accounts:
Sonoma County Transit My stop is between N and O, route 48. |

I'm not sure if this is how bus schedules are like where you live, but did you check the right days that bus was coming? For example the bus schedules that are posted next to the signs have the days listed as either week days or weekends.
Maybe you misread the sign and saw the wrong day? (sidenote* that might not have made sense. lol ) Edit: I've been taking the bus for a couple years now (too afraid of the roads to get a car) and that does seem REALLY weird for a driver to be THAT late. Unless there was heavy traffic that day. |

So I get woken up this morning by Spartan, about 1:30, and he says we should hang out downtown. I check the bus schedule, and there is a bus due at 2:20. So I shower, pack, and eat quickly and get to the bus stop by 2:15. THE BUS DOESN'T SHOW UP.
At 2:40, when I'm not paying attention, the bus drives by. TWENTY MINUTES LATE! No worries, there's one that's supposed to be there at 3:15, I'll wait until then, I've got a book. Guess what, the bus doesn't show up. I call Spartan back and we decide that it's not going to happen. At 3:50, I start walking home. Just when I'm out of the way, THE BUS DRIVES BY! How can I be expected to take the bus when they don't follow their own schedule? I'm sitting home now waiting for my mom to get home to give me a ride, and I am pissed. This isn't the first time things like this has happened. I have missed school several times because the bus showed up fifteen minutes early. I am seriously considering calling the company and finding somebody to rant to. This is unacceptable. |
