When I tried this earlier on my dad's computer, I thought it was a little obnoxious. Since his computer doesn't have sound, I took it off to try on a computer that had to see just how much worse it could get.
The music is seriously not that bad. The blinking doesn't bother me since it isn't affecting what I'm typing, but I'd rather not keep this layout. So, I'm pretty much out after 5 minutes on this. EDIT: Though, I do like how my Pirate Baby avi looks on a blinking background.  |

The scheme is quite evil, but you can stop the color flashing by pressing Esc when the page is fully loaded. You can kill the sound in Firefox with adblock. The only annoying thing is the popups and the missing New Thread/New Reply buttons (they are there, but are labeled differently) |

Try turning up the volume, or plugging in your speakers (I swear this was a problem I had to fix for someone once).
