Usually, summers have never bothered me.
Growing up in southern oregon, it gets hot, like we're talking 115 degrees (No, it doesn't always rain in Oregon and the grass isn't always green ) Though the humidity is nil there, so it wasn't bad if you found shade. Though last two summers I've been 1) At boot camp in Great Lakes Illinois, where it was 95 degrees with 95 percent humidity most of the days Followed up with being in the swamp on the north end of Charleston South Carolina. Where the weather was essentially the same Heat + Humidity + swamp = Suck. Normally, I love summer. But mad did those two places suck to be in Though up in upstate NY right now for the first half of summer. So I should be loving life again I'll probably run out to a few of the lakes or rivers during my free time to keep cool. And where-ever I get stationed after here in july.. Well there will be ocean, and beaches, and beach-going women, so I should be set! It all works out |

Kay, were I live, you wouldn't have to worry about summer heat. It generally doesn't go past 21 degrees celcius during summer. |

Heres another one. Open all of your windows at night when the air is coolest and when you wake up shut all the windows and blinds as to keep the cool air in. I learned that trick from my friend. It really helps. |

I have really good air conditioning, but I'm not always inside of a building.
When I'm outside, I usually just drink plenty of water and deal with it. I actually go out in a long pair of jeans(no shorts for me!), and live with it. You get used to it after a while, but it doesn't get nearly as hot where I live. |

As most people already said a pool or air conditioner and keeping your blinds closed. However if you have neither air conditioner or a pool [like me] than I suggest getting a case of Gatorade and put some in your freezer. Take them out before they completely freeze and drink them down. There extreemly tasty and really cool you down. Or if you have a room that is really low or even partly underground you can chill in there. There normally a lot cooler than other rooms in the house. |

I can't swim so that's a fucking waste or even go into the fire hydrants. The way I can beat the 100+ degrees is to drink plenty of water and go into my mom's room. Her room has air conditioning. |

Summer, how I loath thee!!!! Heat and I don't get a long. My fan is my best friend in my room and AC in my car. AC anywhere for that matter. I love my college, just about everywhere has AC or is set up so it won't heat up |

I have a pool.
Air conditioning can kiss my ass. |

Sucks. My dad is one of those guys who'll save the AC and use it only when its "really needed", luckily my mom hardly agrees with that and she'll turn it up herselves.
I've been keeping my window open for over the last month or so, and have a fan blowing next to it all the time. Directed at my bed too, so at night it feels pretty nice. Summer goals ... I want to work out, build some muscle I guess. And maybe take guitar lessons or something. Other than that I plan on working a ton and getting lots of money. I hope to buy a good computer by the end of this year. I could now, but I like having a savings. |

My house is generally freezing.
Summers here usually aren't very hot at all. However, I go to Kelowna every summer, which IS hot, so to beat the heat, I don't really do anything. I don't mind it all that much. I may complain from time to time, or if I am sweating buckets, but it really doesn't bug me. Cold however, is death. |

AC, light clothes for sleeping, and staying inside a lot... or at least in the shade. Oh, and lots of water. |

Give me a fan and I'm happy. I actually really like the heat. So much that it doesn't make me uncomfortable, so when the heat is taking a toll on me, I don't realize it until I get sick. Honestly. Around my house I'll wear pants and hoodies cuz everyone else likes air conditioning.
I'll admit, I get hot at night sometimes and it's uncomfortable sleeping in the heat, so to remedy that all I do is sleep in very light clothes and just use a sheet (if I decide to have a fan), and if I don't have a fan, then I don't even us a sheet. **shrugs** |
