Originally posted by Thor If it makes a difference, pretty much all metal makes me feel great. Even Whiplash (lol a bit extreme, rarely do I like thrash quite like this but I think this band is great). To Dragonland. I just never really have a preference, when I'm angry or upset, just about anything will make me feel better. And when I'm fine I just get my head banging groove fest going. Maybe its just over my head. |

When I'm angry I listen to System of a Down, Manson, Three Day's Grace. Any
song I can find where someone is screaming angry. Papa roach has a great line in one of their songs that I like when I'm pissed. "Does anybody else, feel the same, put your fist up and vent your pain." Dope has a good angry song. it's called, 'Die Mother Fucker Die.' If I'm in a good mood upbeat music is best. I'm almost always in a mood for, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Three Day's Grace, Muse, Stone Sour, Seether, Dope. |

Xeo, you are weird.
Sad music: the Damnation album from Opeth, or anything Moby related. Particularly "Everything is Wrong", "Alone", "When It's Cold I'd Like to Die", and whatnot. Angry Music: Ragnarok UK, Dimmu Borgir, Sepultura, Devourment, Dark Tranquility. Happy Music: Depends. That's just a mix. Usually Swingin' Utters does it for me. Chillin' out: Summoning is the balls. Isis rocks my face as well, Ragnarok UK does a good job, especially with the song John Barleycorn. |

During my days when I need to edit my webpage I do listen to certain types of Music. I don't know what music but I play it randomly.
Doing all that work makes me frustrated. But I don't listen to music based on my emotions. |

I don't listen to certain types of music just because I'm feeling a certain way, but sometimes listening to music at random can make me feel a certain way.
Avenged Sevenfold makes me feel hyper as all hell sometimes. More mellow stuff can calm me down and make me think better, which is why I usually listen to that stuff while I do homework. And then there are the times when I'm listening to songs that are sad and mopey, but if you were to come in my room, I'd greet you with the usual "HI!" I do, for those who know me in person or have heard me over the phone. |

Hmmm. Good question.
Pink Floyd, for starters makes me feel mellow. As well as some metallica songs. Techno music just makes me want to get up and dance sometimes. I remembered I got my old strobelight, a bunch of green neon lights, and started having a rave in my room. That was totally fun, but I almost ended up with a seizure from doing it. Metal, Oh wow, remarkable healing music. Especially some Luca Turilli songs (60% of their songs are kinda lame, but some makes me happy to live ) |

Well alright, then, to include into the discussion, what bands really affect your mood? |

I dont do this either. Im like Xeo, im not the type of person to listen to different music because im feeling blue or something.
Tenacious D always perks me up though. |

Call me weird, but I never really do this.
I just ... dont'? Music is always exciting to me, no matter when and what time of the day it is. I can listen to just about anything. My emotions never really judge, but my moods might like "Hey, I'm in the mood for some thrash right now" or something like that. |

Sometimes, at least I do this, when I'm in a certain mood, I'll play songs that connect with how I'm feeling.
When I'm angry, I tend to listen to stuff like "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes if I'm quietly angry. If I'm really angry, I listen to stuff like the final two minutes of "The Crowing" by Coheed and Cambria. You know, good stuff. And when I'm sad, I either listen to System of a Down (because they cheer me up with the thrashing and the throwing), or slower, "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol kinda feel. How about you? |
