Alastor saw the orb heading for him and quickly ran towards it, ducking and sliding. He knew Frankie had shot it from his new position, so he slid towards him.

When he saw the Vampire, he sent a kick powered by the dark energy that had been charging towards his leg. If that missed, it was most likely because Frankie had jumped out of the way. If so, Alastor would spring to his feet and send an energy powered punch to Frankie's upper chest.

His sword had been lodged into a tree, Alastor saw, and was there if he needed it later. He had his means.

Meh. I wrote this for school a while ago. I have an obsession with Greek mythology. Anyway, its not great, but I like it. It has potential, but that is literally where the story ends. I never planned on taking it further. I jsut thought I should start posting in here. I'll post more stuff when I decide its better and tolerable to look at.

Pandora

The streets were dark. It was the hour of night where time seemed to stand still in the city. Lights were turned off inside of the warm apartment buildings, and even the lamp posts seemed to bow down to the vast serenity.

A lone man was the only sign of life in the sleeping city. He was a peculiar figure, striding down the center of the street in a royal manner, although he looked far from it. The man stood nearly as high as the lamp posts, with greasy black hair hanging in his ivory face to his shoulders.

The oddest sight of this figure was a full sized cloak clinging to his gaunt features. The cloak swirled ominously in a way that suggested it wasn’t completely solid.

Finally, the man came to a stop. Shadows seemed to dance around his feet as he reached into his sleeve. From it, he drew a large urn adorned in odd paintings that almost looked to be swirling in constant movement.

The air grew tense as the man turned his pale features towards the sky. A smile stretched across his face like a fresh wound festering with disease.

“For what you could not do, Pandora.” His voice seemed to bleed darkness itself. “I release the goddess of Hope.”

With that, the man wrenched off the lid of the urn and held it up towards the sky. Immediately, a resilient light poured from the urn and shot into the heavens. Everything, including the dark cloak, turned a bright white and lost all texture.

Suddenly, the light stopped. The urn turned to dust in the man’s hands and was swept away by an unseen wind.

The air was still, and everything silent.

And then the heavens opened up. A cold downpour began, the wind whipping in every direction. Thunder cracked throughout the night as though the world was being ripped in two.

A flash of light raced from the sky towards the cloaked figure, but at last second he pulled a shield from the shadows themselves and deflected the lightning bolt with ease.

The man cackled, the sound echoing with a cold chill over the wind and thunder as though they didn’t exist. He raised his hands as his greasy hair whipped around his head. The ground beneath him began to crack as a pillar emerged from below his feet and rose him into the air.

“Fight me, Brother!” he screamed in rage to the storming heavens. The streets below began to chip away as skeletal hands clawed their way to the surface. Undead bodies pulled themselves upwards. Some were clad in bronze armor and held ancient swords, while others were dressed in various military uniforms wielding guns.

“Fight me!” he screamed again, this time pulling a black spear from the shadows, its shaft crafted from bones. “The war for Olympus has begun!”

Alastor missed with his follow up punch, but used the forwards momentum to bring him down into a push-up stance, letting the orb fly over him. He jumped back up and ran towards Frankie, not a readable expression upon his face but the rush of a battle.

My sword is still in its energy form, Alastor thought simply. Not angry. Not worried. Just accepting. He was ready for this.

As he neared his opponent, he prepared for an attack, but only in rebuttal for the attack he knew was coming at him first. He launched no punch or kick, just prepared himself.

Hm. I did not know that. I simply thought they were called urns. I knew it was not literally a box, but I did not know the proper name for it.

However, I was not going for Harry Potter. I had more of a European city in mind while writing this, apartment buildings and the sort. I know what you mean, though, in retrospect. I can see it looking like that.

I just read it again, and I can edit a lot. But it is suffice for now. Lol.

Fair enough. A jar is fine by me.

I'm probably going to rewrite this. I can always describe things better the second time around, once the idea is stuck in my head nice and tight. This was written at nine in the morning at Saturday school, so I was a bit tired. Hahaha

Alastor sidestepped the kick and attempted to grab hold of Frankie's leg with both hands as it flew past. It should be an easy grab, with Frankie being on one leg and all of his momentum in that kick.

If he did grab hold, he would swing Frankie around and slam him into a tree. With the energy still charging on his hands, this would feel like swinging a wooden sword to Alastor.

If Frankie hit the tree, it would be with bone-shattering strength. Something was going to break.

While doing this, Alastor concentrated on his sword deep in the woods. Finding it was no problem, as it was made of his energy.

Now then...

OOC: Disagreement, since my body was not bent over. Thighs are higher than that. Simple physics and anatomy. Instead, I have a solution to this.

BIC: Alastor fell along with the foot when he saw his opponent swing his arms. As he fell, he felt the swing of his opponents fists miss. With that much momentum, they might slam into Frankie's own thighs.

Before he hit the ground, Alastor released one hand from the hold, but the other held strong to keep the leg where it was. Alastor then sent a punch hurtling towards his opponents knee cap. Dodging would be almost impossible, since Alastor had hold of the leg, and Frankie should be off balance from missing his target.

The knee would break on contact. And the punch was low enough to avoid the fists of Frankie if they swung to his legs.

Frankie's knee sailed towards Alastor's head, considering he had been falling and had sent the punch whilst falling. He moved his head to the side, and the knee slammed into his shoulder, sending him rolling backwards about ten meters from Frankie. He saw the orbs while rolling, and quickly brought his hands together while rolling. The black energy was still there, as punching with Alastor's energy does not make it dissipate, simply weaken a fraction.

Because he had been charging Dark energy on the hand he had broken Frankie's knee with, and the other carried Rage energy, another dome formed around Alastor.

This one was larger than the first two because of the amount of energy charged on his fists. Not only did it block the explosion, but it headed towards Frankie as well.

The dome may not hit the Vampire because the explosion may have knocked him backwards, hurting his knee further. If he had fallen down, there was little chance of getting up with such an injury. If he chose to fly, the limb would dangle, pulling on nerves, muscles and tendons, causing even more pain. The broken knee was a huge advantage for Alastor.

Alastor continued rolling to his feet, a couple meters from the position in which he activated the dome.

"Now," he said. His sword came flying back to his hand. Because it was in its energy state, Alastor could control it beyond physical means. He had control over the Dark energy, and therefore, the sword itself.

Frankie was in trouble.

Alastor watched as the Vampire amputated his leg, burning the wound shut. The amount of blood his body just lost due to the leg being amputated would be a shock to his body. Plus, the amount of pain that must have caused made Alastor wince simply thinking about it.

Alastor charged his opponent before he could hope to fly away. No energy remained charged upon his limbs. His sword was the sole weapon he needed for now. If his enemy wished to fly, he would need to do so elsewhere. The canopy of branches should at least slow him down, allowing Alastor an attack before he took flight.

Quickly, Alastor ran with his sword at his side. When he neared his opponent, he brought up the dark blade in an uppercut motion, extending the blade by concentrating on the energy and adding more. It now ranged seven feet long. By swinging in an uppercut, the blade should slice the Vampire in half unless he flew. Even if he flew, the blade was moving upwards, and was extended, meaning that he had more range. Frankie would also not be expecting the sudden reach.

If this blow hit directly, the Vampire would be lying in two spots upon the ground.

Alastor watched as Frankie avoided the blade and charged him. While it was too big to maneuver, it wasn't too short to plant itself into a thick branch above. Which is exactly what it did.

Using this to his advantage, he sent the bottom half of his body up as Frankie charged in towards his chest, which was moving backwards now. While the punch had previously had the strength to break ribs, all it did now was bruise him, due to the face that Alastor chest was moving with the punch.

However, all of Alastor momentum had been moving forward, and he had put all of it into his legs his sword planted itself in the tree. Using this momentum, he brought up his knee in an attempt to slam into Frankie's stomach. Considering the speed at which Frankie was moving towards Alastor, and Alastor's leg was moving towards Frankie, dodging this would be next to impossible.

The blow would knock the wind out of Frankie, in which Alastor would be ready for a follow up attack. He had his sword shrink to normal size, whether or not the knee struck. He would need it to finish this fight.

OOC: Edited correctly.

BIC: The duo hurtled towards the tree, propelled by the flight of Frankie. Alastor knew not what to do before they hit the tree, but devised a plan in a matter of nano-seconds to injure the Vampire further, and possible escape to damage.

As he still had the sword, bristled with energy, in his hand, Alastor willed it to shrink into the size of a 6 inch dagger for maneuverability. With his opposite hand, the one charged with Dark energy, he attempted to grab hold of the arm of Frankie. To escape this grapple attempt would be unimaginable. Once the arm was in his grip, getting out would be be even rarer, as Alastor had Dark energy charged, multiplying his strength.

If Alastor did grip the arm, he would increase the Dark energy to the second level, hoping the shatter the bone beneath the fragile flesh with an unyielding grip. While Alastor did this, he stabbed the dagger towards the neck of his opponent, hoping to kill him, or at least pierce his shoulder if it missed.

With both of these attacks, each with a different hand, Frankie may pull up out of the charge towards the tree in pain. If so, Alastor's grip would hold (if held in the first place. Near impossible to dodge, considering position, movement, etc.) and lift him from the tree, as well.

If for some reason the grip did not work, Frankie would be busy dodging the grapple attempt, and would be distracted, making the dagger attempt almost a sure hit.

Name: Tectalus

Race: Djinn

The Djinn have been in this world since its Creation, traveling through many dimensions and Worlds before its time. Some say that the Djinn themselves crafted the land, and each planet holds a sacred treasure within its depths. They laid down the dark mountains and boiling seas to ward off those who thought themselves strong enough to challenge them. Whether these tales speak the truth is known only to the strange beings themselves. With eyes covering the surface of their body, Djinn's see everything in this World and Worlds beyond. Knowledge from the past and future lie within a blink of an eye for them.

Tectalus was recently awoken from his slumber in another dimension. Despite the distance through both space and time, he felt odd stirrings on the planet Earth. The simians had been growing stronger over the years--strong enough to challenge the ancient Djinn's themselves. If not controlled soon, Tectalus and other Djinn's may soon become extinct, their ancient treasures in the hands of those unworthy to wield them. Earth must be destroyed.

Appearance: Tectalus has a light violet skin color, with eyes of the deepest blue scattered across his entire body, each an inch apart. The body of Tectalus was hairless, as was the same with all Djinn's. No mouth, nose or ears could be seen on the Creator, but he was able to speak, hear and smell by other means. He wears no clothing, and has no reproductive organs. Tectalus stands six and a half feet tall with a large, muscular frame.

Powers:

Mass Manipulation: Tectalus can manipulate his mass, making him smaller or larger (to an extent). He really only uses this technique to stretch his limbs, granting him a reach advantage.

Diamond Heart: Tectalus has a talisman sealed within his heart that grants him a natural armor, making his skin (and eyes) rock hard. Because of this, his eyes can banter as much physical abuse as the rest of him.

Eyes of the Djinn: Djinn's can fire a beam of raw energy from each of their eyes at separate times. The more eyes that use the power at once, the more energy required.

Creator: Being a Creator of the Earth itself, Tectalus has control over the fearsome mountains he placed here to ward off foes. He can manipulate stone and other natural sediments made of stone (dirt, pebbles, etc).

He can see perfectly with it, and it protects his eyes. Its a natural armor, hardening all of his flesh and eyes.

EDIT: I hope I didn't make him too strong.
