| A lot of this is already on the radio. I heard a few talk shows making fun of it this morning, and I couldn't help but chuckle.
While some of what he says is downright insane and could be taken with a smile, a lot of it would terrify her when it was being said. He was acting like a complete nutcase, and he needs to get treatment. I have no idea how that man interacts with people on a day to day basis. And not only to beat a woman, but to do so while she is holding a child...I can't do anything but shake my head at that 
This man needs help, obviously. But people also need to realize that the slurs are not what is important here. While it is wrong, domestic abuse is much worse. I can't believe that people are still considering what the man says to be more important than his actions. While racism should not be tolerated, neither should sexism and physical abuse. They all fall under the same category. |

| The tentacle ripped from the river faster than Phoenix had time to react. It smashed into his body with tremendous force, threatening to send him flying through the trees.
Phoenix was not about to let that happen, though. Instead, as the tentacle slammed into him, he held his sword aloft, tring to pierce into the flesh of the slimy limb. If it worked, Phoenix would hold onto the sword for his life, one hand on the hilt, and the other burning the slick flesh, drying it out so he could grab onto it without a problem. He would beat his wings to maintain the height of the tentacle, for now. If not, he would go flying through the forest. What is this beast? Surely not.. Phoenix gasped for breath as memories continued to batter him. The rest of his body now felt like his already throbbing head. If the thing below the water was Leviathan, he was in trouble. | My thought is that the industry is a bunch of ***holes. They wouldn't shut down the pump so that they could continually feed off of it to put more money in their pockets. Would it have been that bad to lose a few million and close it down until it was fixed? Which would have been much easier than trying to patch it while the oil was running.

| I can honestly say that I do not know much about Onomatopoeia.
As for Year One compared to The Killing Joke, I think it is better because Batman himself was better written. In Year one, he had story and you really got to know him. It went beyond the chases and the late nights. It focused more on the man behind the mask. In the Killing Joke, he was just an angry guy trying to find the Joker. While I understand that not every comic can focus solely on Batman/Bruce (and yes, only Bruce), I like the character, not just the crime fighter. I know the villains need development, too, but still. Liked it, loved it, made love to it. |

It showed just how indecisive his character was, and made him seem all the more crazier. When you define the mysterious, it becomes less mysterious and more understandable. That's what I like about the Joker--you can't understand him. He is a raving lunatic, but a brilliant one at the same time. He is a mastermind. He needs no defining, in my opinion. |
