Lol well a lot of people here have some favorite animes that are on the list and, in my opinion at least, he goes a little overboard with the comments. ^^jjj

But yeah at the same time it is pretty funny.

Nope. If I don't know the person then I don't open the e-mail. Unless of course it's something from school or work. You know?

Have you ever tried typing in a weird angle and found that it worked better than sitting straight?

I did have one from my ankle to my knee, but not on my arm.

Have you ever tried to make you're own fireworks?

Not currently, but usually I do. What sucks about it is I always get songs that I don't like stuck in my head lol. Though whenever that happens I try to pick a new song that I like to get stuck in my head instead. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work, and sometimes it just cancels it out.

Hmm that might be something I try when I get sick or get an ear ache next time. Niether my family or I have ever done our own family remedies that I know of. We usually use just soup and/or aspirin and plenty of bed rest.

And the tea sounds like it would be great for sore throats.

I hope you get better soon! =P

Posted on 06-30-07 11:58 PM, in Japanese Bands Link
I couldn't see any threads here about this so I though I might post something about it.

My favorite Japanese band that rivals even my love for metal bands like Luca Turilli, Dragonforce, Ensiferum, etc. is called Camino. I first heard them play at Sakuracon's (anime convention) free yearly concert and I bought their album called I.C. Brain right afterwards. Even got it signed by the band members. =D Along with pictures lol.

I like other bands like T.M. Revolution, L'arc~en~Ciel, and Nami Tamaki. I'd post some videos from youtube about them but the computer I'm on for the weekend is really bad and slow. ^^jjj So I'll do that once I get to the computer I'm usually on.

Does anyone else like Camino or any Japanese bands whether they're metal, soft rock or anything else?

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but if someone wanted to make threads about regular books instead of just manga would they just post it in General Discussion?

I'd feel bad for breaking the forum rules and creating spam. lol

Awesome! I'm always looking for some new Japanese bands' music to get into and I keep hearing really good things about Dir En Gray so I'll check that out. Along with some of the other ones you listed as well.

Did you get into Japanese music because of watching the endings and beginnings of anime shows as well as the ones that your friend showed you? That's how I did lol.

I didn't see any of them say that you could talk about books too. All it says is talk about anything related to music or tv.

Besides manga, what kinds of books does everyone read if anyone particularly likes to read at all?

I could be called a bookworm lol. My favorite genre would be science fiction and fantasy like the Dragon Riders of Pern series. Currently I'm reading a book called Owlflight by Mercedes Lackey. That's kind of a series for younger teens I guess, but I like them.

It's actually been quiet a while since I was interested in reading again. When I was little I couldn't even stop reading lol, but then I started reading more and more manga rather than regular novels. Now though I've run out of manga to read for the time being so I got back into these books. I love them again. ^^

Lord X said that General OR entertainment would be fine.

I thought it would be best to keep all the entertainment section more towards tv and music. And I'm not even sure if very many are gonna respond anyways.

Gah and now it's back as a sticky lol.

Yeah but I'm talking about books in general. That thread is for talking about one book at a time and talking a little bit about it.

Like it says right there: If you wanted you could make a separate thread if you wanted to discuss it even further, "but that thread is suffice for naming a book and talking a bit about it."

@Vulkan: Awesome I love the Harry Potter series.

@Nagis: Which romance series? Or is that the actual name of the series?

Has anyone ever read the Eragon series, anything from Mercedes Lackey, or anything from the author of Dragon Riders of Pern (can't remember her name lol)?

Lately I've also kinda been into Mystery/Thriller books like Dark Fire (can't remember the author's name).

I found the author of Dark Fire and it's C.J. Sansom. Dark Fire is actually sort of a sequel to his book River of Darkness, but you don't have to read that one to get Dark Fire.

And yeah Mercedes Lackey has a large amount of books that all tie into one another in a timeline. I would definitely recommend them. I guess it would be best to start with one of her earlier series like the Gryphon trilogy (The Black Grypon, White Grypon, and Silver Grypon) however order it's in. Sometime's the explanations can get a little confusing so it's best to start out at the beginning.

Lets see...what's the first real novel/books that you all remember reading? Mine was called Dragon Kyn by Susan Fletcher.
