As Alden stormed out of the computer room, Leon rushed up behind him. "What's going on?" "It's the H.O.M.I.N.I.D." Alden answered as he turned a corner. "The hominwhat?" "The H.O.M.I.N.I.D. It stands for Highly Oversensitive Mind Initiated Neural Interface Device." "And that means?" "It's a top secret mind controlled jet we've been working on. The prototype's been stolen." As Alden marched through the Marinae headquarters with Leon in tow, Jeremy and Edgar emerged from a connecting hallway and joined with them. "What's going on Don." Jeremy yelled over the alarm. "Eric stole the H.O.M.I.N.I.D. to go after Holly." "Who stole what now?" Eric asked as he stepped out from the locker room, wearing a clean set of white clothes. "If he didn't steal the H.O.M.I.N.I.D., then who did?" Jeremy asked, out of breath, "And what happened to Holly?" "Who does he think he is." Josiah muttered to himself. He held his hand, palm out, towards the elevator, and quickly twisted it. Their was the sound of grinding metal as the elevator was forced to a stop, then quickly rose back to the top. As the doors opened, Josiah pulled his hands apart, and Seifer and Holly were pulled in opposite directions into the walls, where strips of metal tore off and secured them down. As Seifer struggled, his two shards slipped free from his grasp and fell to the ground, making a slight tinkling sound as they hit the metal floor. Josiah approached Seifer. "I'll eliminate you first, old friend." He held out his hand and a letter opener flew from Jack's desk. He quickly caught it and brought it up. He paused as a crackling emerged from the PA system, followed by a hazy voice. "This is a message from the Marinae. Release Holly Marina immediately, or suffer the consequences." "Fuck." Josiah cursed. He threw out his arm and the letter opener sailed across the room, narrowly missing Jack, before embedding itself in the steel plated window. A moment later, it exploded outward. Josiah approached the new opening and stepped out, falling the 40 stories down the side of E'shyum Tower, and landing in a small cloud of dust on the ground. He looked up inquisitively at the approaching jet. Major General Henry Marina saw Josiah's decent through the enhanced view in the cockpit of the H.O.M.I.N.I.D. jet. He recognized the man who had endangered his daughter's life. He pressed his hands firmly on the two silver orbs in the jet, and send a mental signal out. Underneath the wings of the jet two small rockets, armed with thermonuclear devices dropped down. Half a second later the jets ignited and they sailed towards Josiah. Josiah laughed at Holly's father's pathetic attempt at a rescue. As the missiles flew towards him, he held his hands outstretched, and clapped them together. The rockets veered off and crashed into each other, creating a small explosion that rocked the jet. Marina send another signal that caused a small door on the underside of the nose open. A chaingun lowered, and the barrels began to spin. Josiah lept into the air as the bullets flew towards him. He continued to ascend as the stream of metal chased him up the side of the building. He landed on the nose of the jet, and looked in through the plexiglass window. "Hello, General Marina. Come to save your daughter? Well, I'm afraid I can't let you do that." He held out his hand and swung it to the side. The plexiglass window tore off and sailed down to the ground below. He reached in to grab Marina. "You want me to tell her anything after I kill you?" "Yeah. Meet you in hell." Henry said as he brought up his shotgun. He relished Josiah's wide eyed look as he pulled the trigger and blasted him off the front of the jet. He quickly grabbed the controls and veered up, just before hitting the tower. He sailed over New York Harbor, preparing to turn around. He looked out at the water below, and saw the water begin to bubble beneath him. He had barely enough time to jump out of the jet as a pillar of water shot up, and brought it crashing down into the sea. Josiah stood atop E'shyum tower, his arms raised above his head, and saw the tiny figure of Henry Marina fall into the ocean. He leaped into the air, and landed on the water. He reached down and grabbed Marina by the throat, and jumped back onto the roof. He held Holly's flailing father over the edge, of the 40 story building. "I could kill you right now," he sneered, as he released Henry. As he falled, Josiah stepped off the edge, and began running down the side after him. Halfway down he grabbed him under his arm. "But I wont. I wont because I want to see the look on your daughter's face as I kill her father right in front of her." He threw Henry up, through the opening to Jack's office, and began walking up the side of the building after him. |

| So, I think we can come to the conclusion that this is something everybody has to go through. No, actually, something that everybody should go through. It helps you face mortality, but on a smaller scale. And is just an experience that, in my opinion, is important for human development. | |||

| Josiah had forgotten about the shard he had given Seifer all those years ago. It had great power, but nowhere near as powerful as his. Fortunately, in their last encounter he hadn't shown Seifer his true power. He probably wouldn't even break a sweat this time.
