Seems like Bloomberg's just trying to make up for his lack of response to a blizzard that paralyzed New York back in December while he was in BERMUDA.
I suppose he'll also be taking credit for the fact that no New Yorkers have died with how much he freaked out this time 'round. |

Not sure these days. I actually can't remember the last time I had cereal. Maybe like Honey Bunches of Oats or Honey Nut Cheerios (or the Trader Joe's equivalent).
In your philosophy what happens to you when you die? |

Granted, but now you're allergic to everything else.
I wish Brandon was awake. |

Finally read Batman: The Killing Joke after years of meaning to. Not Alan Moore's finest, but pretty good.
Also read the first two volumes (the only ones out) of American Vampire. I have the first few issues from when they were first released, but sort of dropped off and going to the comic shops. Right now reading this new graphic novel, Anya's Ghost. A friend borrowed it from the library and insisted I read it. It's OK. Nothing I'm really excited about. I think she only wanted me to read it because the main character is of Russian descent and this friend is a Russophile. |

For me personally, minutes. With Brandon involved, hours. I've been known to run around like a crazy person getting ready to go right away. Sometimes I pack suitcases 10 minutes before having to leave for the airport.
What is your favorite smell of foods that are being cooked or baked? |

I saw this, I think, a month or so ago because Stitch was just as confused and concerned for the show as the rest of you seem to be, and he wanted my input.
I mean, I don't know. Matt and Trey started this all out of a Christmas short they did in college (before dropping out) with construction paper. They've made all sorts of movies and now a Broadway hit, maybe they want to indicate that they've grown up and are getting ready to move on and the characters are too. Or maybe they're tricking us into drawing that conclusion, and are just completely pulling your leg. I guess it couldn't be all of them together forever, could it? When you're a kid, you're always changing who you hang out with and consider your best friend. (Last edited by Rogue on 08-31-11 12:32 PM) |

Granted. You now have arms so long your knuckles drag on the ground when you walk. Your new nickname is Koko and your co-workers go, "Oo oo, ah ah," as they pass you in the hallway.
I wish for a new pair of jeans that fit. |

Looking through the pages of this thread, I feel completely lazy and sluggish compared with my past overly busy self.
I've actually been doing a whole lot of nothing. Well, nothing toward progressing my career or what have you. I've been working on my grandmother's house, painting, weeding, fogging it, and so on. My aunt also keeps spreading BS that I'm not actually doing anything that she's supposedly paid me for, and that when I finally get to watch my grandmother, which is rarely these days, that I leave the house and leave her to stare at the wall, alone in the dark. Finally sat down with the parents to decide on what tours to see on the trip next month. Well, back to being busy being bored. (Last edited by Rogue on 09-01-11 04:11 PM) |

I'm kinda scared that those were your first thoughts watching this, Bitmap.
For a soap actress, though, woman is ripped. |

Stay safe from Tropical Storm Katia, everyone. She's hanging back for right now, but is heading toward land. They're saying she probably won't become a hurricane. | |||

I'm so glad Matt and Trey went back to writing musicals. Cannibal's my favorite musical.
Looking forward to this traveling to L.A. some day, but for now all we've got is the snippet they performed for the Tonys. |

It's possible, but unlikely. I know there've been hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico that have gone up into central Texas.
The news has been saying that Katia will probably hit Canada if she strikes land. (Last edited by Rogue on 09-02-11 01:39 AM) |

Prosciutto. We've been eating it a lot lately and it's so damn good. We've been getting it and other meats and cheeses, packed them into a cooler, and gone to Shakespeare in the park performances and outdoor movie screenings.
I could live on just that for a week. Soooo good. What's your favorite thing that no else seems to know about? |

Oh my god, Popeye's Cajun gravy. More more more MORE!!
Why? Do I need a reason to love its hearty, spicy goodness? I've been calling them "Popeye's mashed potatoes and crack" for years. The stuff is addictive. What's your favorite cup? |

Read Anya's Ghost in a couple hours. It's not the masterpiece the comments on the cover make it seem. It's more of a glorified children's book on the level of Coraline.
Also read the first two volumes of Sweet Tooth, a relatively new graphic novel put out by Vertigo. What's with these latest "instant classics" being these dreary post-apocalyptic stories (Walking Dead, Y: The Last Man, etc) or feature some mysterious thing that's killing people (Chew, etc). It's pretty dark and, in a sense, disturbing. |

Originally posted by Katana This Asian-American media activist group I was briefly associated with, HATED that movie and put together a mass boycott against it. The reason? Because there was a part when these guys beat the shit out of Dr. Ken's character, said they were going to cover it up, and then he apologized to his attackers saying he was Korean. Apparently they also felt this was a lot like the Vincent Chin murder that happened in Detroit where these two out of work autoworkers beat up a Chinese man allegedly believing he was Japanese and thus the reason for their unemployment, referring to the rise of sales in Japanese-made vehicles. Anyway, I haven't seen it. But these guys take credit for it not doing as well in the box office. They like to sift through media and look for things that would vaguely piss off Asians. Watching Nova right now. They're doing this fascinating piece on human evolution and how homo habilis came after this area of Africa it lived in was going through drastic changes 2 million years ago after our ancestors before him all had relatively the same, smaller-sized brains. Interesting stuff. |

You know, I really don't know. Miko LOVES just sitting in boxes and staring out like she's sailing a ship or something. I think it's like when little kids get a big box and act like it's their new club house. It's a new place to hang out, they feel safe in there. I dunno.
What's your most hated accent/speech quirk (saying "axe" in place of "ask," "supposebly" instead of "supposedly," etc)? |
