Fuck Facebook glitches. I wrote this downer of a status update, apparently when my profile started consuming Facebook comments and not putting them up despite my getting e-mail notifications.

A friend, whom Brandon and I were previously having a mild issue (which has since been solved) de-friended me because she thought I was deleting her comments on things. It's all been fixed now and we're friends again after I explained the glitch.

It was too much grief over nothing yesterday.

No, that's what he looked like after being beaten and tazed 6 or 7 times and ending up in the hospital where he died a couple days later.

He was a homeless man with schizophrenia. I don't know where his father was when he was living on the street, but he's roaring mad now and talking to the press every day.

I once meant to nap for a couple hours before this show came on that I wanted to watch and didn't wake up until the next morning. I think I fell asleep around 6 in the afternoon, meaning to watch a show that came on at 8.

If you woke up in an alternate reality of your world, what would be the most glaring and obvious indicator that you're in an everything's-the-opposite-topsy-turvy-world?

I know, VG. Seems insane that we've all been here so long.

And damn it, Xeo. Don't make me Photoshop your head from old pictures onto embarrassing things.

I'll do it.

This has been stuck in my head all week, and not because I'd been watching it, but rather because I saw it months ago and only just NOW started editing my Anime Los Angeles pictures.

Well, it's not technically a store, but Disneyland just announced they're finally putting in the extension to Fantasyland which would include Rapunzel's kingdom and a Renaissance era-ish village. I got like... retarded excited last night.

Uh... otherwise, local store. Hm...

I guess when Trader Joe's brought back the salted caramel dark chocolate bar I liked that they ran out of really quickly.

What's a geekdom you don't know much about, but you love it and you'd love to be more exposed to it?

Fuck wasting my morning and a third-a-tank of gas. Someone put out a call for help painting a set in North Hollywood for a short film by a professional production company in the private Facebook group for people who've been extras on "The Guild." I e-mailed her, she told me they need me for 10 hours (I'd get an IMDb credit) and be there at 8 a.m.

The friends who came over last night didn't leave 'til 3, despite my hinting that I gotta be up early. So got up at 6, drove the 35 miles to North Hollywood and waited there for three hours by this gate that was supposedly going to be open so people could walk in and head to work on the sound stage. Gates are locked, no one's answering the bell. Fuck...

Brandon e-mailed them on my behalf and we haven't heard anything yet.

Fuck it all, I'm going out.

It's funny. I only recently discovered my mother's birth name while sorting through things in my grandmother's house. I heard a couple years ago that Mom's name was actually Luz, and she'd gotten used to being called Lucy so when she and my father married she not only took his last name, but changed her first as well. While sorting through papers, I found her baptism certificate saying her name was Luz Constancia Yap. She'd always said she doesn't have a middle name. I'm suddenly realizing that my parents are still quite the mystery to me even after 26 years of knowing them.

Anyway, this whole debate of to-take-a-name not-to-take-the-man's-name or what have you. I understand both sides. I mean, I've been going by this name for 26 years. It comes up with some good stuff in Google searches, my professional work is tied with it and so on. As an independent woman I can understand why it can seem backward to progressives for a woman to take a man's name -- perhaps they tie it with becoming property or what have you, losing her identity in the name of tradition.

At the same time, I understand tradition. And hell, it can be a bitch to be introduced as Mrs. Still Going By Maiden Name and then having your husband called the same. Is the world ready? There's always going by Ms, which I've come to prefer these days, though I still check the "Miss" box on forms (proudly unwed, thank you very much).

I mean, there is the route of changing your name to Maiden Name-His Name.

Then again, back in the day Stitch wrote a story about Brandon and me where he combined our last names. Amarantus and Demaria became Demarantus. I always thought that was fun. Still, if Brandon and I actually did tie the knot (good god...) I would be Christine Marie Demaria. Sounds redundant.

I don't know what my stance was. Hm, I suppose it all depends on what the woman wants. It's her name. She's free to do with it as she pleases. Maybe she could be like Phoebe on Friends and putting as her name, on the post-marital form, "Princess Consuela Banana Hammock."

Just got a check for a thousand bucks from my grandfather in the mail. I'd never been given so much money, and this will really help on my vacation in a couple months. Words cannot express how grateful I am.

Are there any commercials that you've found exceptionally annoying lately, and if so what are they for?

Yeah, that's why I didn't know my mom had a middle name before marrying Dad. She just dropped it and now her name is Lucy Yap Amarantus.

Hm, this is oddly tough to answer since I love both. I guess scones have been more of a favorite lately, and my favorite of those is cranberry orange. Mmm...

I've been laughing it up all morning with how many people are flipping out. Here in California, it's no big deal.

Seriously, though, since we're Earthquake Country we've got all our shit re-enforced. I'd hate to be on that coast where everything's built without concern for continental drift.

I'm re-watching American Graffiti for like the first time in a decade. I suddenly realized Superbad lifted so many plot points from it and the two movies have so much in common.

Then again, Seth Rogen and his friend wrote Superbad when they were 17. It's likely they saw American Graffiti and were inspired.

Jesus, when the 6.0+ finally hits Southern California because of the San Andreas Fault that's been overdue for over 100 years, people in the east aren't going to think it's serious.

Huh.. I guess the worst would be when I was briefly dating this one guy who ALWAYS accused me of smiling at random guys and then getting angry right there. God forbid if other possessors of Y-chromosomes spoke to me for any reason and I didn't either ignore them or tell them to fuck off (which I never did). Pretty much he'd pull me away while giving the other men a dirty look or a biting comment.

After we were broken up and I called him to ask if he wanted to hang out or something as friends, he said sure, we started joking around and I teased him about being jealous. He got serious, called me a selfish bitch and hung up on me, never to be heard from again until right after Christmas of that year when he wanted to rekindle things.

*Sigh* Yep, that's dating a 30-year-old when you're 18.

What is the shittiest job you actually fantasized about having?

It shows up fine for me?

It's not worked for me in the past a few times, but usually it's fine again after a day.
