So, Jessi Slaughter's favorite band (Blood on the Dance Floor) made their own video making fun of her and her father, which is somewhat amusing since Sticky Drama, a site which is pretty much written be and about 11 and 12-year-olds based almost entirely on gossip and speculation, claimed she was molested by the guy who swings in parodying her father.

Watch it here:

And just for shits, here's someone off of 4Chan prank calling. It's nothing crazy, mostly this guy posing as the police to ask Jessi Slaughter's mother if she is aware that her daughter has a foul mouth and makes her own innocuous death threats on YouTube:

On my bed. In my room. In Cerritos. Which is in California. Which is part of the United States of America. I could go further, but I doubt anyone from another planet is reading this.

Why is there such a negative stigma against people watching porn?

Hit up one of the Scott Pilgrim parties last night just to hang out and party. I'll get my copy from my local shop tomorrow before heading down to San Diego for COMIC-CON.

Just read the second issue of "Nemesis." It's not near as good as Mark Millar thinks it is. It's TMJ-inducing, teeth-gritting in fact.

Oh well, heading off to the library.

EDIT: Finished "Sandman: World's End," "Ex Machina: Smoke, Smoke," and started "Queen and Country" volume 1.

So after finishing the 6th book (and getting complimentary tickets to a preview screening next week along with my pre-order), I will say that the end is pretty satisfying. It felt like the end to "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" for some reason.

There's a panel for the movie this evening. I'll tell you how it goes.

Awwwright! Fuck hotels who tell you one price over the phone (one which you find very appealing and are happy with) and then deny said price when you arrive and want extra a night plus tax (but you stick with it anyway because it's still lower than any other place you might find at that hour). Goooooooo, Comic-Con hotel thievery!

Oh well... we're pirating their wi-fi connection. It's not a San Diego trip if you aren't pirating something.

Read and finished "Scott Pilgrim's Finest Hour" as well as the latest four issue arc of Groo, "The Hogs of Horder," on the way down to San Diego (it's an hour and a half trip) and I started the first issue of "Time Lincoln" before bed. I would pick it up and finish it, but I'm just sitting in the dark with the computer and I really should just try to go back to bed, but I'm feeling sick.

Got the four issues of Groo signed while Sergio Aragones showed me panels from the second issue of Groo vs. Conan (the first issue is about to hit the racks soon). It was pretty sweet.

The last Scott Pilgrim was pretty satisfying. The midnight release of it was like a Harry Potter party, but with free beer, and... well, cooler geeks.

Wasn't she also tried for the death of Phoebus?

Yeah, "Hunchback of Notre Dame" was definitely a sad story, and while Disney's version is beautiful (though the gargoyles sort of take away from that) they painted on a happy ending just to please the kids. But then again, that's the Disney's renaissance went -- beautiful animation, but forced happy endings (Little Mermaid, etc).

I mean, were they to keep with Mulan's story, she would come home, her parents would say welcome back, and then proceed to carve the names of their enemies into her back and say that she needs to go kill all of these people now that she's a badass warrior.

All right, to answer my own question... in my opinion, the negative stigma probably comes from the misunderstanding that it's a replacement for a relationship or the sexual gratification involved in them. Thus, people think you're a loser if you buy or that your wife/girlfriend must not be enough for you or you must not have one. Secondly, no one wants to admit they may get a thrill out of watching other people do it. I dunno. There are a lot of reasons, I guess, but to each their own.

What's the worst movie you've ever seen, that was also not improved by making fun of it (it was just simply too painful to watch)?

I thought I made a post here, but I guess not. Pretty sure I did, though. Oh well.

I'm currently in a hotel room about 5 miles from the Mexican border, freezing in the A/C, and Comic-Con International just started. Callooh callay.

Already my feet are unbearably painfully and we're low on money, but panels are free, as is talking to the guests. So it's still bound to be a great con. I've got a few interviews lined up, but I don't want to jinx them, so I'll talk about them later.

How cheesy do you really want to get?

If you like action movies that are senseless gore and pretty damn funny, then "Punisher: Warzone" might be appealing.

As for cheesy sci-fi, "Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter" ranks among the worst. It's almost unbearable really. I'll post more when I think of them. I got up at 4 a.m. and haven't gone back to sleep.

1. Animated
2. Happy Ending
3. Take away. a parent for good measure.

That's true with a good chunk of the characters (primarily the princesses, especially those during Disney's renaissance period which lasted the late '80s through the early '00s). They seem to love showing that the princesses formed a tighter bond with their fathers, but then you have these male animal characters that have a closer bond with Mom (Bambi, Dumbo).

While several characters never have their parents introduced (Alice, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Mowgli, Esmeralda, Megara, etc), there are still some that escape the losing parents/one-already-gone-for-unexplained-reasons stereotype: Mulan, Hercules, Aurora, Wendy/John/Michael, all those dalmatians (granted most were adopted, but the original 16 out of the 99 still had both parents). There are others I'm probably forgetting.

Oh and to continue this trend... READ: Greek mythology

Heracles was the love child of Zeus and Alcmena (not of Hera), who then marries Megara and in a fit kills her and their children.

Not only is it a funny-looking, egg-laying, amphibious freak of nature, it's freaking poisonous. Double you tee eff, God?

Nope, but that's HILARIOUS. Sounds like something that would have gone down in Hollywood before the costumed people panhandling for tips were kicked out.

I'm stewing in my own fucktardery here at Comic-Con. Someone got stabbed with a pen, near the eye, by a guy in a Harry Potter T-shirt.

Oh you know it. I'm sure someone will blame comic books for it as well. No doubt the Westboro Baptist Church heard about it (since they came to picket the convention on Thursday) and are being all smug.

So the panel was pretty amusing. Michael Cera came out in a padded Captain America costume and didn't even take off the mask once through the entire panel. They showed several more scenes and a music video which was pretty much the scene when Envy's band is playing and Scott and Tod Ingram see each other for the first time.

Also went to the Scott Pilgrim Experience and made a Sex Bomb-omb T-shirt, watched Kieran Culkin, Brandon Routh, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead make their own, and got my con badge signed by Brian Lee O'Malley. Brandon played some of the game. It's outstanding.

Reading another issue of Hot Mexican Love Comics. Picked up a lot of graphic novels for cheap at con this year and I'm running through them pretty quickly. I picked up a hardcover copy of "Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born," "Flight" volume 1, "Roninbebop" and a few other books for $5 apiece. I've got loads of new comics too.

I also finally got the copies of "A Meeting of Minds" and "Out of Their Minds" in the mail. They're sequels to a book series I loved back in middle school that I used to wish someone would write more books on.

It's gonna be a gooooooood week.

Last night, I did a press conference with the Mythbusters while standing next to them. They got excited by my question. It was almost like Jamie and I were having a conversation. I tape-recorded the session.

I've got on one of the Spike and Mike Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation DVDs I ended up getting when one of Spike's boothbabes said she'll sell me three of them for $5.

I've seen the festival every year for the past decade almost. It's amusing what makes it in and what gets rejected at the Gauntlet.
