| My screen res is 1280 * 1024 so its not a problem with how many pixels my screen can put out.
I don't have my internet window maximized, I have it as minimal as possible which would never be a problem with this site since the text would just wrap down to the next line thus not having to scroll over to the right. Now with above said links the images are just taking up too much room. Now this could also in a way cover layouts. Its the text that matters not the "pretty pixels that are molesting my eye balls". If you have a title thats good. I find it just unreasonable to put lots of text and images into it. Bigger is not always better. Do you want a big case of eye cancer or a small one that is hardly noticeable? I personally can live with small annoying images that I don't want to see again but I tolerate them because they are so small and insignificant that they hardly capture my eyes attention. If my screen were split into four rows, each taking up 25% of the screen, my firefox window would only take up one row of my screen. I have multiple things going on and there is no sense in having an entire screen dedicated to an internet window unless the situation calls for a maximized window. |

For other video files you can't seem to play VLC works perfectly. I would also recommend getting the codec shaddow mentioned for simplicity's sake. Please note that DRM protected .wmv files will not play in any other media player except windows media player. .wmv files under DRM protection just won't work with other players unless you use a program such as fairuse4wm.exe to abolish the DRM on the file. |
