(OOC: I'm... back?)
IC:

Kirabo hadn't seen his comrades since his departure from Geiger two weeks earlier, nor had he seen any enemies until his fourteenth day of doggedly (in the most literal sense) advancing to Fort Brenethor. With his only defense, Allard's army, a day and a half behind him and quickly pursuing his tracks, it was up to him to rest little at Brenethor and continue as to serve as a sort of reconnaissance. With every pawstep Kirabo had a twisted hope for the Pope's army to be over the next hill. This sort of thinking was saddening, but the truth was that he hadn't any time to lie down and pick stones from between his toes. Limbs aching, feet bleeding, he ran onwards on little to nothing in his stomach but wine to soften the entire experience.

It became too much by day twelve. He hated to do so, but his body refused to go on any furthur. It became so strenuous that his power became inactive; even as a dog too much energy was being exherted. Forced to revert back into his human shape, Kirabo meandered eastward, going slower and slower, blood dripping from his dark palms. If anyone were to see the blood they'd have wondered where it was flowing from... and in the current area he was in, they would've wondered what the hell he exactly was. The way it was looking it seemed like he had nothing to fear except self exhaustion, but it was a bittersweet moment when he stumbled into the town of Klarthu.

One would suppose he came in after the battle and was viewing the aftermath. It was, in fact, the complete opposite. He came the night before the attacks. Falling head over heals into a pile of crates, Kirabo took his first rest since Brenethor. The wooden boxes were piled high along the side of a building, presumably a restaurant or inn of sorts considering the amount of garbage filling each box. He didn't care; he begain to eat, using bare hands, scooping remains of meat from days before. Soon after he found it was nearly impossilbe to not nod off. If his king had been there, he was certain he would've been scolded for not resting. For Kirabo it was no problem to be still and not eat for days, even weeks. But anyone, even those of magic, cannot survive for so long on foot with no rest.

He fell asleep amid the boxes and awoke to a god-awful reek. The garbage around him began to burn; the unexpected had happened. The streets and homes were filled with fleeing villagers and ravaging troops. Kirabo had all he needed, and before anyone had found him he had slipped back out the way he came and headed back to fort Brenethor with hopes that his prince had not already continued on. The position of the Papal army was definite to him, and in time would soon be to the army of Prince Allard.

"Sir," Kirabo gave a salute with a bleeding hand, completely out of breath, "the Papal army is directly in the west, they cannot be more than a days march away. They've struck the town of Klarthu and have seemingly conquered any resistance along the way; there is very little damage done to their ranks. It's your call to either take the field and rush at them head on or to hold down Brenethor. I know not the fort's readiness for a siege, but it seems that is the route we're headed down. Retreat is also always an option, though we should prevent them from entering any farther into the homeland by any means neccessary, and retreat may lead them to our guiding footprints. Then again, if we lead them into the desert, there is little chance of staying on our trail. These are the options I have offered, but your final decision is what we all shall follow."

Kirabo saluted once more, a splash of dark, opaque red painting itself across his dark featureless face. He set to work on bandaging his hands and feet as he sat against the wall, awaiting orders.

"You know, I've dealt with some strange things. Broken tails, wings, I thought I've seen it all. Now how in the name of God, Odin, or whatever the hell you follow that makes you look this way, is that blood coming out of a palm which is clearly... clear?"

Kirabo's head which had been pointed down at his feet came to eye level with the Elvin nurse who had been treating his wounds.

"I thought Elven doctors were the smartest things to grace this earth. You're joking if you tell me you honestly don't know."

Pulling the bandage a little tighter to show that its not all brains when it comes to her people, the Nurse gave a smile as Kirabo's facial shadows gave an evident wince. "Well you certainly aren't laughing are you?"

"Oh no... but I would at least like to hear what you assume I am." Kirabo said, rubbing his freshly bandaged hand.

"On a scientific standpoint you share similar characteristics in terms of weight, height, and appendage amount like that of a human. You have hair, not soft and straight like that of an elf's, nor is it course like that of a dwarf. You have human hair, but the color is something otherworldly alltogether. It seems basically white with paler pastel blues, greens and reds. What advantage that gives you over other species is beyond me, but you're the only one I've seen with such a trait. But the most recognizable thing about you is your actual body... its like black glass. You can see through it, and past the other side, but its clear that there is something in there that keeps you alive. You have no fingernails, but your fingers taper like that of a humans. If I feel your wrist, there is an average pulse, and while we're on that topic, you feel like you're made of flesh. So whatever you want to call your appearence, it seems merely aesthetic, or as a form of camoflauge. I'd hate to be one on one with you in a dark hallway."

"Oh of course you would."

The nurse gave him a slap with the back of her hand to the side of his head.

"You certainly have a very human libido. And when I hit you there, you jolted like anyone else would from an unexpected blow. You have a nervous system it seems. So my assumption? You're a human. You're not elven in anatomy or manner, nor do you lean particularly to the side of a dwarf in many ways either. And your'e here, in Brenethor, with news that aids us in our plight. I heard you were the reconnaisce man, but I don't know what sort of reconnaisance work requires someone to tear up their hands and feet so bad. You work for the magical, but you're human, but you're... magical looking. Is this all a disguise? Some sort of sick holy Pope magic or something?"

Kirabo lifted his feet and put them upon the table as to let the Nurse bandage those also.

"Thats it? That's all you've gathered? No sort of hint to anything else?"

"What else could their possibly be? I know a thing or two about magic and it doesn't look like you have any way to produce anything. You're human, as bizarre as you look."

Kirabo pushed himself off the table before his feet were completely wrapped.

"What're you do- what the... good gracious...!"

Kirabo began to shift into his dog form. The hair from his head engulfed his body and darken to a black color as his limbs changed shape. His spine bent and his face elongated. The clothes and cape he wore seemed to unbutton themselves and form into a collar around his neck, a bell at his throat in order to store the shrunken clothes. A tail grew, his ears sharpened with the change of his face, his fingers melded and formed their way into paws. It is difficult to describe in words, as any description will make it seem gruesome. But it was a perfected art; the only startling factor was the man you were talking to a minute ago had turned into a rather large, black Great Dane. He quickly reversed the process and returned to his human form.

"B-but.. just now... you had fur and eyes and everything, but when you're human, you don't... and when you're... can you..."

"Yes, I can do more, but time is fleeting and this isn't a magic performance, I have a mission and I need to keep my energy up. This current body is nothing but a walking crucible. Where I do have a pulse, a heartbeat, a stomach, it is not constrained to that limited skeleton that you elves and humans have. Because of so my body is on guard at all times, ready to transform, and if a human were to do so, they would immediatly die. My structure, internal organs, anything, its all moveable, shrinkable, growable. That is putting it in the simplest of terms. You elves are smart; expand your mind like I do my body and you'll understand that I, a Magic Human, am but half science and half mystery, and some mysteries cannot, should not be sovled.."

With that, Kirabo, bandaged properly, headed out to meet Dolfax, Tara, and the villagers of the fort, the Nurse left with too many unanswered questions; whats a feeling more analogous to war than confusion?

Spore... is there already a thread dedicated to this? This... this... this wonderful, fantastical PHANTASMAGORICAL game that was shown at this year's E3.

A quick, me-style overview. You start off as... well, a spore. Then you continue to grow... and you grow and grow... and eventually, you are given choices as to how this creature you are controlling evolves. You can give it legs, eyes, tails, as many as you want, and depending on how you make it, it will be affected by it's environment for better or for worse. Eventually, or so I've heard, you're creature will be able to travel from planet to planet and meet other Spore created creatures over the internet. Fancy!

Now... anyone with news, a site, or any discussion...

That's actually really cool. It must've taken a lot of time to do all those drawings for it. I dunno, I think being able to have the patience to animate something is impressive.

The actual PCD thing is intriguing. It looks like it could actually be something real. The little loading animation... at least I think thats what it was, that sort of caught my eye.

And very fitting music by the way. Something about it worked really well... I could imagine the PCD booting up with a little short sample of that music playing.

I have friends. I have loyal friends, I have friends I'd like to spend more time with, I have friends who I connect with really well. But, I have one friend... this friend, though they say they are "loyal" and glorify the fact that I'm there friend at all possible times (I'll explain that bullshit later), I can sense that they have some sort of venomous hatred towards me and everything that I am. This friend "loves spending time with me", but I can tell they use these "hanging out times" to make me look stupid at every given chance, they one up me at every possible moment. They also feel as if we have some sort of connection, as if we were bred to be friends.

I CANNOT STAND THEM.

(BTW: "They" as I have been, and will continue to refer to will go unnamed. Why I feel I need to do this, I don't know, as the only person on here who would know them is HoboConductor, who is one of those loyal friends who I know I can trust)

I have found the source of this problem. I never wanted to be friends with them, I never asked, I never made any initiative, I was lumped into a group with them at the end of 8th grade, and am STILL forced within their group in 10th grade. Thats right! I NEVER WANTED TO BE FRIENDS WITH THEM! I was guilt tripped into hanging out with them because one of my other friends (who actually ended up being one of my much better friends now despite his whole involvement in this) was the only guy in the group and felt uncomfortable being around a bunch of girls all summer. One of the people in the group decided they liked me, and we went out for about 3 weeks, until she was diagnosed with schizophrenia and decided it'd be cool not to like anyone for the next two years. That should've been the first sign that there was certainly something fucked up with the group. Over the 2 years, I've spoken maybe under 10 times to a few of the others in the group despite the fact that they hang out with us whenever we do anything. They are all so goddamn boring. Thats another thing! If we do anything they fuck all the plans up! If I tell them "Lets go to the park and relax!" they're like "No we need an extensive schedule of our day, we need to bring along a lot of stuff to carry such as three blankets and six board games because even when we're outside we need these sort of things!" They can't be the least bit spontaneous, and me being considerably moreso than them makes anything we do boring for me.

But... while over time those people have become tolerable, there is that one that I said in the beginning that is just too obnoxious to handle.

They are very smart, yes. But if you say one thing wrong they tend to correct your mistakes for you... extensivly. It makes them look pretentious and... well, like a bitch. They CANNOT take jokes anymore, they make things so serious.

I have spoken with them on many occasions about what type of people we want to be. They stated they wanted to be a "lovable eccentric". Too bad that is something that you grow with, you can't fabricate out of thin air, and at the point they are at, they are the farthest thing from eccentric I know. They believe themself to be an artist; they write poetry, attempt to draw, write stories, paint, play piano, all that. Now, any other person I would say "Oh good job! I'm glad to see someone doing so!" but with this person? I DID say so before they got out of hand. They're pretentious, they've got a big head. They love showing off things to people, they love getting critiqued, but if its a bad critique they get either a) defensive, or b) very pouty. Yes, and thats another thing, if you stray from this person's every so meticulously planned schedule, they get very angry at you; if you do anything different, or speak your mind about something, they get VERY defensive and use everything in their aresenal against you to make you feel bad. "Lovable eccentric" my ass...

GodDAMN I know there is more to rant about but I'm just so sick and tired about thinking about this that its driving me to the point of exhaustion. I can't tell anyone else about it either, because they all don't realize that they're allowed to think like this! They think something terrible will happen if they tell the person they dislike them. And because of that, I feel the same way. I can't tell them that I hate them; it'll effect too many relationships with friends of mine that are actually good. So I don't know what to do! I don't want to live two more years of highschool, having fake relationships with people.

I can understand if my elaborations on anything were not clear, I wrote this in a flurry of hatred.

http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/10432334/was_the_2004_election_stolen

If that link doesn't work, just copy and paste. Seriously take a look at it. I sense a few pages being added to future history books.

This that I've just shown you, is not someone's opinion on the President. It is not a magazine's personal stance on how they view the president. No, its all facts. Anyone who lies to their country, who cheats in order to gain power, who takes advantage of their own people for their own greed in such a way that he did is not fit to lead. I don't care how hardcore of a follower you are, after seeing these facts, you can NOT chalk it up to bad luck, as people have done with too many of his "mistakes" . This is calculated work, maybe not by himself but by all those who surround him. What I don't understand is how this article hasn't expanded farther into the media by now.

To be honest, I don't lean Republican or Democrat. What I think needs to be done is that we need to try our luck at having a 3rd party candidate get into office. What else is there for them to mess up?

Who would I vote for in the next election if they run?

Jesse Ventura. FTW. You really have to see the man speak, its incredible, he doesn't equivocate from the truth, he tell us how it is, he tells us whats on his mind, and I think we need someone that is able to do that. I know certain presidential information is confidential, but its hard to be confident about your president when your only told half of what you're able to be told.

Holy crap... 300 drawings? Did you make copies of the actual PCD thing and just draw what was supposed to be on the screen on each copy? You couldn't have done all that with one picture... the erasure marks would've gotten crazy by the end. And did you scan them all individually? Thats dedication!

I've never used one of the tablets, but I would imagine it wouldn't have the same feel as drawing does. But for this sort of thing you're doing it'd be a hell of a lot easier.

The actual stuff that was shown on the screen was really intricate. I think what I saw were maps... at one point a dotted line crossed the screen. Wait, that was the charager. Everything seemed to flow really well. I liked how the screen with the face in it grew larger as it moved to the top corner of the screen.

Nothing I can say will help; I've never been in a situation nearly as dark as yours nor do I see any connections to one in the future. All I can say that I can tell you'll survive this. Shit like this only makes a person stronger, and you already seem like a very stable person (judging by your general attitude on the message board). You're problems outweigh the trivialties other people face every day, and just like weight training, the more weight, and in this case stressors, you're able to stand the stronger you'll get. But also like weight training, there is a limit to how much you can push yourself. You're body is the only judge of what your max capacity is. The same thing goes for your mind; I think you'll know when you've reached the point where enough is enough; I suppose this will be when you can confidently formulate a good enough plan to get yourself out of your situation. Confronting your family may lead to more problems. You alone cannot straighten out other people's lives. Cutting ties won't wipe them off of the face of the planet, but it will get them out of your hair while you're establishing your own life, so maybe that's something you can attempt to do. If you consider that giving up, then don't; think of it as more of a way of putting the game on pause while you get your strategy ready.

Well... good luck man, and post if anything else comes up.

A lot of the things by Miyazaki are, at the moment, the only tolerable anime in my opinion. I first saw Kiki's Delivery Service, and then my cousin and I rented "My Neighbor Totoro" and it blew my mind. My ten year old's mind. What I mean to say is that you're right about it being old, but its definetly one of those movies that's become timeless. I noticed that in a lot of his movies it is hard to tell what time period they are set in; thats hard to do with a story I think. Thats one of the many qualities in his films that makes them so good... but look at me, overanalyzing this... its a cartoon! Its wonderful! That's it!

And it's "You're the man now, dog." Wuhahahahha (Hey! Where did the devil emoticon go??)

I agree actually... I like it when we have huge sonofabitch avatars. It adds character...

No, really. I think they should be a little bit bigger. Maybe have a limit so things don't get too ridiculous, but 100x100 doesn't always... allow people a full access to personal board flair! HAY HAY HAYYY!

Ohh.. I see. That makes sense. That had to be rather tedious, but it came out good so I suppose it was worth the time. I thought I noticed something in the corner, so it was a rag. So wait... you filmed it? It wasn't individual pictures? That makes a lot more sense than my 300 scans idea I had going on.
