No desert for me, or bombs and such like True, but...yeah, GameStop is some serious business apparently. Why someone would put a store that made A LOT of money, in my neighborhood, without security constantly, is beyond me, and yet when I was 18, it was the first place that hired me (I didn't hear from any other place I applied for, even after following up on the applications until I was with GameStop for 6 months, and I had already been all promoted and given raises by then.)

| Not many made me cry, to tell you the truth. But I also haven't seen many. Just what was available on Toonami on Cartoon Network, then I found a few more, but yeah...I heard the anime like Air, Clannad, Kanon, heard they were sad, haven't gotten to them yet.
But, one that I can remember specifically...and the thing is, I don't cry. Not because I'm manly. When I get "emotional" I get this terrible knot in my throat and I just feel really really sad. So, I wish I could just cry and that's it. XD The closest I've ever gotten to that...The first Tenchi Muyo movie, Tenchi In Love. I dunno how into Tenchi anyone got, I only watched it on Toonami, but I saw enough to know he lost his mom when he was real little (They let you know this in the description, so it's not really a spoiler) but in the first movie, they go back to the past and meet his mother, things happen, and you're like "Oh...THAT'S why she got sick...d'awwww...." yeah, the whole kid losing parent/parent losing kid, one of the only things that get to my cold, cold heart. Lmao. |

| What's the deal with FMA?! They freaking had one thing going, then they like started it over. Music was good though. I think that's what gets me into anime these days. Well, keeps me into it. I'll give anything a shot that's recommended to me, or come across, but if I really like the music but didn't like the show too much, it's like I'll still give it a little more time because of the ambiance the music had created for me, rather than give up on it after the second or third episode. Gravitation did the same thing to me. The main kid annoyed the hell out of me...but of the music...

| Didn't you say in another thread somewhere that you didn't do the work during the year like you were supposed to? I'm really glad you see Stitch's point, because, yes, while he is blunt, I'm pretty much in the same boat as him. ESPECIALLY when it comes to school.
School isn't THAT difficult. You just need to know to speak up for yourself. For instance, if there's an issue at home and it's distracting you from your work, talk to a teacher, WHILE the distraction is happening, don't pull the "I had problems" card at the last minute when the grades are due. And yes, I call it a card. I had PLENTY of problems throughout high school, and I did just what others have said, found another place to DO the work, and there were times in which I would flat out tell my teacher the things that were going on. Sure, not all of it was their business, but when I had trouble in calc, and my family didn't give a damn, they just wanted me home right after school to watch my nieces and nephews, damn skippy I got my teacher involved so she could help make sure I was able to stay after school for her to help me with the work. It's A LOT easier said than done, as most things are, but you need to get on the ball and get shit done. In today's society, I think the ones without problems are the abnormal ones, to tell you the truth. You're not alone. There are plenty of people to go to. Teachers. Other school officials. Family. Friends. You can draw a lot of ideas from a lot of people. That friend to give you advice on how they got out of a situation like your's, a teacher to step in and work with you when it comes to balancing school and your troubles, and that family member, even if they're part of the problem, they're the example of what you don't want to end up like. The example that fuels you to get off your butt and make things better for yourself. And you have to use these resources WHILE you're in the middle of the shit. If you didn't do your work, and never told your teacher why during the year, what CAN he/she do for you now, even if they ARE sympathetic to your cause? And even if the teacher is the problem, if the school sees that you have been trying to rectify this the whole time, instead of waiting until the last minute, then you have a stronger leg to stand on when you go to them in the end. No one is going to listen if you wait until the last minute. You can get through this. It's going to be tough, but doable. Take this as a lesson. You did not fail your senior year because of her. It's not her senior year, it's your's. Yeah, when it comes to school, I'm a total dick, so you may not like what I have to say, for the record. |

| That's disgusting. Seriously. But I really can't point a finger at anyone. My city is weird. When the Phillies won the World Series, the city wasn't as bad as most thought it would be. If anything, it was the players that were out of line, with Chase Utley saying "World fucking champs!" in public, live(Although I think it was pretty cool. XD).
And it is funny how bandwaggon sports really are. At least Sci-Fi, anime, comics, whatnot, there's something more loyal about them. For instance, I was able to talk to 5 customers yesterday about the Deadpool comics. No one, not even my customers purchasing NBA titles, were ready to talk about basketball. You can talk about things like comics, movies, anime, anywhere at anytime. Most sports are well...there when your local team is winning. I have been a hockey fan my whole life, but I'll admit, I didn't get into baseball until Philly's team won their championship. (Well, my gramps and I watched it together, he tells me how excited he is to finally wittness a championship victory with me, and then died 6 months later...okay okay, baseball is a little special to me now.) |

| Fuck my life. Oh how that overused statement sums things up so well. Fuck work for only being able to give me 20-25 hours a week. I needed 40, have earned the right to get 40, was promised 40, and then shit rolled downhill and now my poor boss is appologizing and agonizing over something that isn't even remotely close to being his fault. I am overwhelmed with bills right now as it is. I know that's life, I just need to bitch about that for once.

| PS3 has some nice exclusive content. I don't know how into the DeadSpace series anyone is, but DeadSpace 2 is going to have DS:Extraction with it as well. Extraction was for the wii exclusively, but I'm glad they decided to let it out for the other systems. Extraction is a good story piece to the game, imo, even if you're not one for rail shooters.
And they announced that you can pay for the PSN now. PSN Premium, or Plus, its going to be called? Not a bad idea in my opinion. It's like I always told customers, PSN was free, and for what you got for free, not bad, I sure as hell wouldn't PAY for what the PSN is now, that's for sure. And 360, while I'm not a fan, I'm honest about the system, and even though you have to pay for it, you get what you pay for. But the PSN, they're unleashing a new network, same as 360 in price, but it's optional. That's what I like. Because since it's optional, I may just buy the smallest amount at a time, just so I can get free demos and games, and for the 20 bucks it'll cost me for three months of it, it doesn't seem too bad. We'll have to see how this pans out. I still think Nintendo stole the show this year though. Big time. |

| Has anyone ever had those moments where something serious is going on, like a fight or something, only to be interrupted by something really funny, that both parties acknowledge, no matter how, angry for example, they are?
I think I have those a little too often, only I don't always opt for the happy ending the funny moment brought on. For instance, now posting about my PSP in Modern Gaming made me think of this... Things ended with my last boyfriend. Badly. Like, REALLY badly. So badly that I punched him in the face. Okay, that's not too much of a stretch for me, but it got to the point where I insisted on giving him all of his stuff back. Which includes, I now regret, the Scotty Hartnell jersey he bought me. But in any case, so, I'm standing outside my house, with the bag of things, waiting for him to show up, when he brings his shiny new girlfriend that he incidentally had been fucking the last year of our relationship ANYway. Well, I was pretty mad, but didn't want to go to jail for assaulting this girl. (I punched my ex-in the face much sooner than this revelation, so okay, I had already risked an assault charge already.)
So, instead of walking over and beating the crap out of her, I began throwing things at his car. Like, I dented his car a bit. And as I'm fumbling through the bag, he's begging me to stop, and I pull out the PSP he got me. The blue one. Blue is my favorite color...and I love my PSP. And so, I literally stopped myself from chucking it at his car, looked at him, and said "Hell no! It's a PSP. And it's Blue!" and proceeded to calmly hand him the bag and what remained, and walked back inside. I could hear him laughing his ass off as I did so, and I admittedly chuckled myself. I guess you would have had to be there in person, and know the two of us in person to see the humor in that, but yeah. Then he pulled the whole "I miss being your friend. Let's just forget this happened and be friends." To which he was punched in the face again, and told never to speak to me again. So, yeah, I don't always opt for the happy endings, but there was a moment of piece and laughter in between. XD That kinda shit ever happen to you guys? |
