Alex stood absolutely still. The part of the blade that fell off of his sword fell apart into dust, now that it was no longer attached to the main blade, and Alex no longer shose to spend his energy keeping it alive.

So, Alex chose to reveal one more weapon in his arsenal. He concentrated on Xeios, and finding certain spots, searched for any part of him that was able to conduct electricity. Using this, he found the black adamantium the Xeios wore under his shirt. Due to the strength, and way adamantium was made, it would make an ideal conductor for electricity. So, Alex pulled out a rechargable battery he had, and quickly touched a wire to the positive and negative sections, creating electricity. He used electrokenesis to increase the voltage on the electricity

He then looked up, concentrated on Xeios, and the electricity fired toward Xeios' armour. It moved as fast as light, and Alex was concentrating on Xeios the whole time, even as it fired. However, whatever small move Xeios might be able to make in this amount of time, Alex mould control the electricity, and make it follow Xeios' movements.

The amount of electricity in here was enough to kill any normal man in a millisecond, so if it hit, then unless Xeios had an immunity to electricity(no, it's not counted as lightning, it come from a different source, and it's where lightning comes from that I hear makes it go as elemental. This is just electricity, which I see you are not immune to), he should have almost no way to survive this, due to its speed, strength, and the fact that it would follow whatever movement he might make.

In theory, the human mind wouldn't even be able to comprehend what happens to it before it is already struck. Even so, there is always a chance that he could survive it, though small, and requiring energies that have yet to be seen from Xeios.

Well, if we followed the Fair Tax, then yes, the actual price, including taxes will be by law, included.

But anyway, I agree that it could be abused, but which is cheaper, paying shipping from another country, paying that countries trade tax, or paying an actra 22%?

Honestly, then if something is really that expensive, then people would be paying more for shipping, than for the tax.

So, we're left with overall a damn-near 25-dollar difference that the Japanese company couldn't hope to avoid. What'll your average consumer do?hr>

Well, as the Japanese company wouldn't have to pay the tax for trading between companies, it would probably be a lot lower than you say.

Also, these japanese games, unless it is a japanese only store, wouldn't need to add the sales tax. The way this usually works is that the store buys the game(sales tax is not included in a company to company level, at least if the Fair Tax is enabled), and then the store sells the game, with no neccesary added sales tax, except for the buyer.

The only sales taxes that are included are company to person, or vice versa. It's all quite simple really.

Rules: Standard, with the addition of losing, after not posting for one week.

It was a very dark night, and it was raining. The sun had set just an hour ago, and there was plenty of time for a battle. Thunder flashed, and a dark man was seen. He wore a suit, all black except for the shirt uner the jacket, which was white. He appeared to have no visible weapons, other than a scabbard, which held his sword. At fist then the color of his hair was unseen, until he started glowing, where anyone watching could see his hair was orange.

He was standing in the middle of a large field grassy, approximatley a mile from one end to the next. This field was surrounded with trees, and the battle could easily progress to the forest, if either fighter wished it.

Suddenly he looked alert. He had sensed something in this field. He used a bit of remote veiwing to find this person, and he sent a telepathic message,

"The night is young, I wish to fight you, and tomorrow, one of us will be dead."

Yeah, I bike. I enjoy mountain biking usually, but on the street is fine too.

Anyway, the bike I would be riding now got stolen on a thanksgiving. So, I can't anymore.

No, I regret to say it was the other way around.

I'll give an example:

Japan decides to seel some of its games in America. So, it goes so that it would be sold at Wal-Mart. Technically, Wal Mart is buying the games from Japan, tax free. So, it could still be sold to Wal-Mart at the usual $50 dollar price, without the American sales tax being payed by the Japanese company.

Of course Wal-Mart would try to sell it for less, and I admit that the Japanese wouldn't get the full amount that they would normally, as Wal-Mart would buy it for about $10 dollars less, but at least Japan would still have the ability for bussiness.

"Standard defensive stance. Holding the sword directly in front of you, with it slightly bent forward. Effective, but not without weakness, at least with such a large sword."

Alex drew his sword. It appeared to be gleaming a small orange, and looked almost...alive. Its hilt seemed to be made of the same material, and this sword had the ability to change its shape at will, as Alex could control the small bacteria that made it.

Alex rushed forward, and attempted to hit Jade's sword to her right side, and the bring his sword back up, and slash at her in the neck. The entire move, including rushing forward, has done with great spped, and strength.

Alex was a mater of virtually all energy, time, kentic, psychokenetic, etc. However, magical energy was his problem.

So, instead Alex was forced to backflip quickly, making the dark energy go above him. Fortunatley, this attack was not describe as being paticularly, fast, and so Alex had just barely enough time to dodge.

So, he held up his hand, and the black energy appeared to bounce off it, going off into the sky, where if there was a great amount of luck, this bolt might hit a bird.

"I am afraid that I do not underestimate you. Your attack alone suggests a certain ignorance, I could have redirected it, causing a reverse effect to make it steal your energy. However, I chose to send it off into the sky."

Alex then smiled. When Jade allowed Alex's sword to touch her, she did something dangerous, possibly fatal. Alex's sword can also drop bacteria, or grow onto someone else's blade... It should grow along her blade, while eating it away, until it got to her hand. The amount of bacteria was, to the human eye, invisible. It would get to her, and them atempt to eat away her flesh, destroying her at a cellular level. this bacteria would also make sure not to attack any nerves, preventing Jade from feeling any pain.

This attack's full effect takes three turns to destroy an ordinary human.

I have to go with ninjas. My reasons:

Has anyone here played Splinter Cell? All he needs to do to take out enemies is shoot out a few lights. Ninjas can use their stars to do that, then they can sneak up behind any pirate or cowboy, and its all over.

Or, if pirates get magic, then what do ninjas get in their movies? Super kung-fu effects, with slow motion, and a bit of dodging bullets. That beats a sword any day.

What do cowboys get then? Well, in all of their movies/books, they get killed, but the bad person does too.

Most likely scenario:

The pirate and the cowboy see each other, after they both went chasing after the ninja. They look at each other angrily, and the pirate, drunk as he is, will fight the cowboy just for the heck of it. After the cowboy gets shot, the ninja, who was hiding in the shadows all along, will sneak up, and kill the pirate.

Ninjas win 100%

While the needles certainly moved fast, their impact had very little effect. All of those that hit him simply bounced off, leaving no effect on his negate armour.

"You already knew I had that. Why must you allow me to use it again?"

Alex, in order to make sure that there were not penalties, began concentrating. In two posts, he would be able to unleash a power so strong, that it would effect time itsself. However, with each post that Alex uses a psychic power, it takes that much longer to charge. At the moemnt, Alex would not use any for this turn.

"Try again." Alex said, with his hand already seeming to gain a bit of energy glowing around it.

In order to allow his sword to survive contact with Jade's, Alex concentrated, and made sure that the bacteria that made up his blade would now now longer be affected by heat. It wouldn't work if he carried it over to another blade, but it was better than nothing.

So, Alex brough up his sword, blocking the first strike, then brough it down in an arc so that he was temporarily in a underhand sword lock with Jade.

Alex, pushing against Jade's sword, suddenly twisted, attempting to send a punch to her face.

Okay, and open field. the pirate staggers into it, then he falls over. He just fell unconscious because he was drunk.

Or, then ninja is hiding behind some tall grass. The pirate walks by him, and only about ten minutes later does he realize his feet are cut off. Then, he recieves a stab in the back by a katana.

ooc: Leon, just so you know, you misunderstood my attack. When I use it again, I'll describe it better for you, but for now, I don't feel like stopping the fight, so we can pretend I sent a blast of wind.

ic:

Luckily, this attack wcould easily be detonated earlier than when it reached the person, so Alex had it detonate as soon as it was in the wind, more than likely still only causing damage to Leon.

"An attack for an amature Leon..."

Then, noting that AD had his electrical shield on, then Alex pulled something out of his pocket, and pressed a button. A small bolt of electricity came out of it, and Alex used electrokenesis to hold it. Suddenly, he redirected it toward the ground, and it got into the steel walls, and up to the ceiling. The electricity climbed all over the place, and anyone touching the ground should be fried with this electricity within half a second. Alex carefully made sure that none of it would go near him, as he had control over it.

Also, this arena had a low ceiling, making it so that jumping without getting shocked by the ceiling too was nearly impossible. This electricity would keep going for about three minutes, until Alex chose to release it.

Finally, this electricity had high enough voltage that if anything touched it, it would keep hold unless a huge amount of counter force was made. It would require something stronger than any human might have.

So, to sum it all up, the electricity is going on the ground, the cieling, and the walls, moving at the speed of light for Leon and Shuyin.

Edit ooc: Oh, Sparda, I think that you may be a bit incorrect about the length of a polearm. I thought it was about 7 feet, about a foor higher than the usual fighter.

ic: Alex entered the arena through a door on one side, holding his broadsword. Fortunatley, this was a clumsy weapon for blocking, when used with one hand. However, certain tactics could easily be used to make this sword more easier to use, such as exerting force to the handle, by hitting it a certain way, making it swing around.

Alex was wearing a black suit, and as already made to be, bearing only his assigned weapon. He orange hair appeared neatly combed, and his body showed signs of being strong, extremely strong. His faced showed no emotion. He had mastered them long ago.

He stood still, keeping the sword sheathed for now, waiting for his opponent...

"Come, let us get this over with."

Spiritual attacks...Alex's first lesson...

Luckily, avoiding this was easy, and realistic. Alex concentrated on his very soul, and began to make copies of what he wanted to stay, getting rid of whatever Xeios might do, and replacing it quickly. This was much like astral projection, only it stayed with him.

"Luckily that is not considered a psychic power, rather a spiritual one."

In one more post, Alex could send out the time slowing energy.
