| Well, besides the obvious reason I live...
I live for experiencing life, for learning and watching, having fun and all that. I live for books, whether I am reading them or writing them, fiction is precious to me. I live for rock music... mainly Marilyn Manson, the obsession is just pathetic now. I live for... well... survival. You know, that feeling of not wanting to die. I live for that one single hope that I will soon be out of this hell hole of a house and actually be happy... so I guess you could say that I live for the future as well. |

| Wow, I am so sorry for her... all 6 years? That has got to hurt.
Just do what you can to comfort her, let her rant, and just be a good friend. The only divorce in my family that I've been around for was my sisters... and that one was just ugly because of the custody battles. Hopefully she won't have to deal with that. |

I think my main qualm was that he apologized for many many bad things that the church has done (silence during the Holocaust, Galileo, etc), yet there was no apology for the Spanish Inquisition or their part in the Burning Times. |

| It is possible to be hypnotised, but from what I have seen and learned it must be voluntary. Hypnotism is putting you into a deeply relaxed state, therefore if you are unwilling and fighting it, or unaware of it your mind cannot relax like that.
Now, hypnotism in books, where they take over your mind and make you a drone is false. Yes, you can plant a post-hypnotic suggestion in a persons mind, but not something major. They often use suggestions to help people quit smoking or drinking, planting the notion that they find the taste disgusting or something. It's not a major thing, so it can be done. |

| While I seriously think that there is something wrong with the girl or her parents for her to act like that, I think that the handcuffs were too far. Although I also agree that it is especially sad that it took 3 officers to cuff a 5 year old girl. The report said that she calmed down when the cops got there, so I don't see why she had to be handcuffed. |
