So the season finale... mixed feelings.

The Hound/Brienne fight scene... why? Just why?

And such gut-wrenching info is left out of the conversation between Jaime and Tyrion that drives the next scene... which is still awesome, but not as awesome.

I don't get why they are feeling the need to cut things out and move so fast when they know how long it takes Martin to write the damn books. Are they trying to run out of material?

Yeah, this picture keeps getting reposted with people going, "Wait, this was SUPPOSED TO BE IN IT!!"

I don't know what their grand plan is, but I have faith. Apparently Martin told the producers how the books end in case he dies before they finish.

But then again, Martin's increasing the series one more book. So yeah, tack on another 10 years of waiting for the ending?

At the same time, aren't "A Feast For Crows" and "A Dance With Dragons" interlocking? Like they happen at the same time? Let's see if they split them into four seasons.

All the same, I'll take any excuse I can to post this thing again:

Heh heh... stoneheart shall be awesome.

The main reason that A Dance With Dragons supposedly took so long was because of the interlocking since Martin had to keep going back to check on things and keep the timeline consistent. Hopefully that means that Winds of Winter will not take six fucking years.

But yeah, I am hoping to get at least three seasons out of those two books with how much they are jumping around in the show.

All right, I looked up that thing that Jaime and Tyrion talk about. Yeah, it's some good info to have, especially ending with the two brothers sort of estranged from each other, but I'm happy with how it played out on screen, all the same.

What I read:
Spoiler:
Jaime tells Tyrion that Tysha, Tyrion's first wife, wasn't the whore he thought she was (referring to the story he told Shea and Bronn in season 1), and that she was just a chance meeting on the road who later slept with all the guards because Tywin paid her to.

And when Jaime asks Tyrion if he really did kill Joffrey, Tyrion lists off a bunch of evil things Joffrey's done, including that he was the one who hired an assassin to murder Bran Stark after his fall from the tower. Then Tyrion just says he did it and leaves.

Did I get it right?

Anyway, this is stuff I don't really consider a spoiler (I mean, it would have been cool to have read that for myself in the books and get that elaboration, but this is fresh and I already know the major things that happen in the scenes that follow).

Yeah, you got it right. I think all of Storm of Swords is safe for you now. I am just really curious about how Tyrion's character is going to move forward in the show now since that information weighs so heavily on him in the books afterwards (Well, in A Dance With Dragons at least, since he isn't in A Feast For Crows).

That must have pissed quite a few people off.

I'm hearing from lots of people that "Feast For Crows" was the worst, most boring book in the series and so they're not looking forward to season 5. Well... if they're interlocking, I imagine HBO would lay it out chronologically (especially since most people -- particularly most of those who've not read the books -- have no patience for non-linear storytelling).

Baelish posted this today. I laughed so damn hard.

But yeah, I do really hope they split these up into multiple seasons.

Book SPOILER below.
Spoiler:
So they're saying it's likely Lady Stoneheart has been cut altogether. I don't know how involved she is in the rest of the story. I only know of the character's existence and who she is.

Anyway, have you noticed how openly loads of Facebook pages and things people are linking from the media are just mentioning Lady Stoneheart and putting up pictures of Catelyn? Yeah, I already have been exposed to the spoiler, but it's still inexcusable.

Yeah, people have no respect for the spoiler thing.

Spoiler:
I read an article about it, she hasn't been that important yet, but you do see her at the end of FfC when she crosses paths with Brienne... of course I have no idea what the hell they are doing with Brienne's story either now. Ben and I are hoping that come book six, Lady Stoneheart ends up being a major plot element so the show has to eat crow and bring her back in!

I'm sorry for the spoiler thing. I legit feel like dirt. And I personally hate the "Well, don't go on social media if you don't want to see things" as a reason to justify themselves doing those things. I was just so pumped up about it all and only thought of a stupid joke and not what I was actually saying. And you're right, I don't do that. Ever. Except that one time, so that's like hitting someone below the belt. I just saw the last few posts here now, and they made me giggle a little. But I'll never do it again, I promise.

I used to really like Dany, but I didn't care for her this season either. I DID like that she started to fuck up a little though. It just seemed to make sense with natural character progression period. I'm excited for season 5 just to see how they do it though. I haven't read anything past Storm of Swords just yet, so I can only go by what people are saying, regarding how boring the book is. I have faith in the show making something out of it at least.

Apology long since accepted. I'm sorry I got so mad over a detail in a TV show.

But yeah, I'm definitely not a fan of Dany. She comes off to me like she's George R. R. Martin's Mary Sue girlfriend. I dearly want to see her fail without Jorah.

And this isn't misogyny talking. Arya is my darling, and I will start a riot if she dies.

I am looking forward to several things for this season... mostly with Cersei. *evil grin*

Well, I haven't read it, so I can't really say how I found it.

They released the videos that were shown at Comic-Con yesterday.

Some of the additions to the cast:

I totally love those choices. Alexander Siddig will make a great Doran!

I do kinda wonder how the Sand Snakes will look in costume, since right here they don't really look related... or like they could be Oberyn's daughters.

Yeah, one of the articles I saw about the casting video mentioned they were Oberyn's bastard daughters. I don't consider that a spoiler, and I'm thrilled to see them in action, though I don't know anything else about them.

I heard the Comic-Con panel's Q&A was loaded with angry book-readers dropping spoilers here and there. Yet, another reason I'm glad I wasn't there.

I am so fucking stoked, but I'm manically trying to avoid spoilers since they're fucking EVERYWHERE.

Apparently the book-readers are going to be pissed with this season and all the blogs wanna tell you why. Something about how the show is going to start spoiling the books.

Yeah... basically they are catching up to the series and since Martin did give them info on what is going to happen, they are just gonna blow right past it and head into uncharted areas. With the changes that they have already made, I doubt it will spoil too much other than character deaths (which is why I assume there are people bitching).

Ben is just using this as an excuse to not watch the show now... he isn't as big of a fan as I am of the books so I don't get what his problem is. We will still end up watching it.
