Just got off the plane from Munich after a flight from Rome. Why'm I happy? It was a 12-hour flight and I'm finally wearing clean clothes.

Oh, and I'm back.

I sure hope so. This is her miracle baby, after years of miscarriages. Baby Alicia's going to be spoiled rotten, and it's all deserved.

Oh boy... lol.

So my happiness comes in the form of food and good prices. Giant Eagle, the lovely hell hole that I work at (which price-wise is like a Ralph's or Kroger) has their little things of soup that they sell. The soup is quite decent, but the heat and serve version is like $6.50 and I just won't pay that normally. This week, they have a little special going where you get the soup at full price and get a "garden medley salad" ($4.30), a baguette ($2.79), and a 1.5L Pepsi product (99 cents) for free... plus everything is subject to my employee 10% off so I got it for under $6... not bad.

... especially since the baguette is a good two feet long and can be used for multiple soups.

Yesterday was pretty sweet. Brandon's car got picked up by the auto wreckers, and we got cable.

My dad is selling the car he got when his friend Bob died to Brandon for $1,000, first payment to be made in February. Good deal, but it needs a new alternator.

In another vein, however, discovered there's a free convention on Saturday. Woot.

I'm happy. This week marks the end of the semester.. which means I never have to attend this college again!

More importantly, I received my passport with new, shiny student visa in it yesterday! I'm so happy I'm practically bouncing up and down. All that's left is packing!!!

Yay, Belial!

I just re-connected with a cousin I hadn't really spoken to before, at least not in a very long time. Seriously, this is awesome.

This thread doesn't get enough love. Granted I'm not exactly in a great place mentally, seeing as I'm currently watching my grandmother, whom I'm going to have to bathe in a few hours, but it's as good a time as any to count my blessings. She's sipping some tea I made for her and eating chocolate that was left over from the holidays.

My own throat is now really sore and I'm sipping some tea with honey. I can feel the cold coming on now. Funny how it's hit everyone else up 'til this point like it was saving me for last.

I'm happy I got to spend the holidays with family I never really connected with, but seem to finally have. Happy to have spent it entirely with my parents for the first time in several years.

I'm happy I have friends who get me (for the most part).

I'm happy I did a lot of things on my birthday, and got to spend that with Brandon and my parents. Happy that Chef, though having spent a couple days in the hospital for a heart condition, is now home and resting and not dead.

I'm happy I've got money in the bank for once.

I just watched this episode of Strange Sex where this guy had to have his penis amputated, and it was so touching because his girlfriend not only stayed with him and supported him, she helped him figure out a way to achieve orgasm. I mean, good for them.

VERY excited today. I work at a law firm as a file clerk, and they're making a special show about interviewing me at 1:30pm today to see about my promotion.

I had to put big girl clothes on today and all! SOOOO excited.

Thank you sis for this message... Though as insulting as it is... you always know how to make a socially inept person like me feel better.

Hey sis,

I'm writing a piece of Creative Non-Fiction about when we were younger, and I want to apologize to you for being such a dick when we were kids. You've always been an incredibly brave individual. And you've always been a REAL individual, not some tool that wants to be accepted like me. I feel like I sacrificed part of our friendship to gain the acceptance of others, and I want to apologize for that.

You deserved a better sister back then, someone who would have attacked people for saying the shit they said about you and stood by you, and I know I did sometimes, but I don't feel like I did it enough. Sometimes, I feel like I failed as a little sister. It was so stupid and I know it's in the past, but I can't help crying about it.

You're awesome and don't let anyone else ever tell you different. You've never been good about being socially acceptable, but I respect you for that. While I'm accepted by others, I'm accepted on their terms, and with you, their terms don't matter. You're accepted by people on YOUR terms and no one else's and THAT is awesome.

I love you so much, sis.

I'm happy as a clam! I've never studied so much in my life, and it makes me wonder how I ever passed any class, since I've never really studied much before. Hurray for 3.0 GPA with never studying!

I'm in New Zealand! This deserves a line by itself. :)

Lastly, I'm in my first relationship in over a year! Hehehe.. I feel like a giddy twelve year old. <3
