How is this Christian Metal? I ask myself....

So I bought this at my Local Christian music store...Listened to it....and im like "....huh?"

I mean, the sound is great, the lyrics are great....but it reminds me too much of Screamo to be honest...Its something alot of these bands play around in my area....Even most of them are christian and all, but seriously, they all sound the same...

I give this Albulm 3/5 stars....but a 5/5 stars for having great lyrics....

But Xeogaming, dont pick this up for 20 bucks, wait till the price goes down or something....

I should have Bought As I Lay Dying....>.< ;;;

The veil between "metal" and "scremo" and "emo" has worn thin. And honestly, with most music today...you're lucky to even find good music. Everything sounds the same. When ANYONE finds ANYTHING that's even remotely different it's like, "Whoa..."

I'm not a big fan of the genre that Underoath falls under, and I'm not a huge fan of them. I would probably just d/l some of their music off the web, because it'd be like Stray Light Run, I only like three of their songs, why waste my money on an entire album?

Screamo was a harsh word. But thats the only thing I could put Underoath under...

If you want, I can burn you the CD's instead so you can hear for yourself.

But its good music, Its the type of music youll hear at the Core somewhat.

Metal ... and emo ... a thin line? *pukes*

Eh. Guess you just have to get your hands dirty and find the good bands buried in the States, or absolutely every band from Europe to find good metal.

I've herad some random "emo" stuff from some of my friends, it just really reminded me of death metal at times.

But yeah, I've heard of Underotah. I guess they're pretty good, a handful of my church going friends are pretty into them. Probably not something I'd listen to on my own free time.

But you all know me. If it doesn't have a typical flow to the music, long hair, solo's, soaring vocals, I probably don't listen to it that much.

XD I stopped going to the core. I'm out of highschool for the summer, why would I want to put up with all that drama again?

Thanks, but I'll be alright without them. Maybe when their next CD comes out I'll like them more...but for now I'll listen to my Jpop and some of my other stuff and just...love that.

Underoath...I'll give it out 2 out of 5 because I like their lyrics...but not their style. Little harsh for me.

THeir old stuff is alot better than their new sound in my opinion...

And the Sanctuary is better. Im supporting Alex Craig's band whole hardily.

Oh and Tray Yielding's band...
