...

... 'nuff said.

... and I guess you can discuss the movie if you've seen it. In all its boring splendor.

Maybe the movie was just too complicated for a simple minded individual such as yourself. Perhaps you'd find stapling your butt to your hand a bit more amusing than the trials and tribulations of a geisha.

Oh, and if any of these words are too intelligent for you, I can dumb it down to retard.

Memoirs was good. I enjoyed it a lot. For three chinese actresses to portray Japanese Geishas that speak english with a Japanese accent, I think they did a very good job.

I'll post more later. I'm tired.

I thought the casting was going to be problematic, actually. Not to say that casting people in roles that don't match their nationality is a problem, but how Americans perceive the ethnicity.

Then after taking a step back and reading Margaret cho's blog post about Harajuku girls, I've just decided to not care and applaud these ladies for making it in our rat race of an entertainment industry.

I haven't seen it yet, and probably won't 'til it hits the cheap theater.

Stapling my butt to my hand WOULD be more interesting than watching that movie. Just kidding! Nobody ever gets my jokes on this board!

But, I get the point of your post Zabuza, maybe I should be a little more open minded about things like this. Sorry, I suppose it was an unfitting title for the thread. I had no clue it would offend anyone, it was supposed to be a joke that I guess didn't end up being funny... that stung man! But I forgive you, like you even care.

Oh well. I read the book (yeah, I'm one of those retards that reads it AFTER seeing the movie. Oh NO! Blasphemy!) and... you know what? I still thought it was boring. I can respect it as a work, but, I'm sorry. I still thought it was boring. But whats that mean to anyone?

Heh... I faced the same heat when I put down Titanic, The English Patient, and Gosford Park. If you found it boring, you found it boring. S'all right? S'all right.

I really did enjoy the movie. It was beautiful. I wished I wouldn't have read the book before I saw the movie though, because I didn't like thefact that I knew what was going to happen next. For Chinese actresses they did do really well with the accents. I would've like to see this movie all in Japanese, it would have been interesting.
