"Three to four months?" He was suprised he didn't know how much time she had. But three to four months?

"If luck has it our way, you'll have a plan by tomarrow noon." He looked her dead in the eye with full seriousness. "I have the entire governemnt completx mapped out by memory. I know what types of units they use, where they use them, and how they go down."

He grinned wickedly for a momment. Knowledge was something he charished.

Kevin put his head to the side, and stared at the wall. "I wish you coulda known him." He spoke quietly, as to not wake wake her. "You woulda loved him."
------------
"Really? Y'know, I think I remember an infiltration about a book like that... By the way, I don't believe we've really met. James Katsuyori; Kevin's father." He extended his hand for a shake. "You are?"

Keira knew that James was from the Government, but she really didn't trust him all that much, what she wanted from him was the information on the chimera, the layout on what will happen. She was also sure that Chaos could be trusted, but she was a little unsure, she knew Chaos longer, so she had to go with his information. "Okay..." She took out a huge white peice of paper. "So did Trois. See if you can label where the gaurds should be."

Chaos grinned to himself as he took the map from the desk. He looked at her for a moment, before he fell backwards off the chair, and fell through his own shadow.

It took almost 5 minutes, but Chaos resurfaced from one of the darker corners. The map was rolled up, and was illuminating a darkness. He made his way back to his chair, and rolled the map back out.

"I'll do better." The map had small red dots slowly moving all about the map. some vanishing off the sides of the map, others not moving at all.

"I've enchanced your map. Guard this with your life, and don't let the others know you have it. Each dot resides the shadow of any guard within the proximity that map covers. This will tell you when someone is near, or when someone is far. Bring this map when we finally go after them."

He was satisfied with himself. He knew plenty of spells of old, and he was sure he could probably remember a few mroe that oculd help.

Keira smiled. It seemed parts of her were melting off. She pushed her glasses back and nodded. "Okay.. Now... Sneaking in isn't going to do anything. Since security's jacked up."

Trois smiled. "My name is Trois." He said. "French for three, because I was Keira's third member to become part of her researchers. There was just Keira, un, Deux's, two, and myself." He sighed. "Our Barrierist is gone, but yes then came along Francine, then Morrighan.." He laughed. "I'm sorry I'm going into the history about this research facility."

"Stealth would be the better part of this mission." He leaned forward, looking at the map. "The downfall to this map is that it can't decipher friend from foe. Though you'll know if something's near or not."

He blinked for a moment, thinking.
"It'll be an annoyence due to Xeios' dumbass move, but it'll still be possible. We're going to need as much Electronic Jammer possible, and silenced weaponry. Spells won't do, since they'll probably have magic sensors floating around, waiting for us. We'll have to go in like mortals."

"Four months?" *Morrighan stared with a hollow expression at Xeios.* "Only four? I've fought to free my son for five years, and you're saying that I get four fucking months!"

*Her hair started standing on end again, her anger coursing through her body. But when she glanced down at Dalit it fizzled and faded as a despair filled her heart. Four months. She had four months to come up with a way to save her son from the government, and if things went badly, then she also only had those four months to make up for five years of absence in the child's life*

"This is so unfair!"

OOC: Yuzu's working on a project. So I'll work the charries...

BIC: Aldis took in a heavy breath. Her eyes witnessed one event and went to the next. She shook her head and ran off after Jack. "Jack!" She shouted running after him.

Dalit looked at his mother and his eyes glew. "You bought me time?" He didn't know what to say. What was the choice? Four months of peace and quiet, or... Four months of peace and after the fourth struggle. He wanted to help his mother so much. So he nodded.

Keira looked at the paper and her eyes widened. "Chaos.... Shadow warping, has there ever been a machine made for that?" She pointed to an ungaurded area, the restrooms. "This is ungaurded and if someone could get in from there it would work. Plus..." She smiled and put her hands on the desk and looked over at Chaos with a sly smile. "Because if there is a way to make such a machine, we can get through easily. Attack the core, and done. No chimera, no government, just free races." She closed her eyes knowing races wouldn't be free though. They would still fight.

Kevin began to think to himself. Four months, huh? That should give me enough time... He then tapped Francine slightly to awake her. "Hey, babe. Y'know, it's gonna be four months for this thing to finally go down... Want the marriage soon?" He was smiling a bit, hoping for a positive response.
---------------
James looked at Trois. "It's quite alright. I hated the Government, but I had to do it. I was in debt with them, so I had to live there for 20 years, under rigerous training. It certain;y was hell. But now..." He sighed. "All that's gone. And I couldn't be happier," he finished with a smile.

Fracine smiled in her sleep. "What ever you want," she said with a sigh her eyes were closed and she was recovering, still.

Trois looked at James. "You look familiar, not like Kevin at all..." He said finally. "But Kevin still looks like you a little bit, but not Kevin.." He didn't know how to explain it. "You look like Jake your son."

James sighed. He felt remorse and guilt. "I wish I could have been there for him. I left, and never knew him. Can you tell me what he was like? Kevin's asleep, so tell me what he was like, please." His eyes showed pleading, saddness.
-----------------
Kevin smiled again. "Great. Everything will be," he ywaned, "perfect..." With that, Kevin drifted off to sleep.

Chaos stared at her intently for a moment. He was thinking of his words intently, before finally speaking up.

"Shadow walking is a forbidden art." He looked at her for a moment. "Only ones who fully understand the Shadows can use them..." He leaned back from the front of the chair.

"Four centries ago, when the age of science was never even heard of, one person knew how to minipulate electricity and metal to form working machines. He had a partner who understood the forgotten dark arts, and combined the two. And sucesfully made the machine..."

Chaos went silent for a moment, thinking of his words carfully

"The problem with Dark Arts, is that you must have complete control of the energies being used, and that it's never the same. While the spell effects always come out the same, the process the make thoes effects arn't. Theres always a small bit of variation.
...Machines do one set path..."

He cracked his neck to the side, and leaned back forward.

"Because the machine didn't have any AI, it didn't know the diffrence. So when the pair transported a group of captives through the shaddows, we had no control over what came out the other side..." He went silent for a moment.

Jack was long gone by the time Aldis chased after him. He had already walked to the city, where he had the faint idea where he would start his journey. He walked to the complete other side through the snow, his eyes staring intently at the ground. It would be an odd sight to see him, a dark figure contrasting with the purity of the falling snow. He wore his black dress shirt, jeans, black leather boots, his black cotton trenchcoat torn and ragged at his ankles. He would lift his head up at the street corners, point himself in a direction, then return to gaze of the soil.

Eventually, he stopped at a strange house, different than the others neighboring it. It looked the same, though the lawn in front of it was unkempt and wild. He knocked on the wooden door, scanning around him with eyes, a characteristic he devolped in the war. The door was opened by a man with a slanted face and short grey hair. He was in his mid 50's, apparent by the amount and lack of wrinkles that rested on his face. He scanned Jack carefully and then smiled, placing his arm on Jack's shoulder.

"Jack, I haven't seen you in ages! C'mon in, have a seat! I know you must be cold, with your aversion to the snow! Happy New Year!"

Jack smiled a half-assed appreciative grin and stepped inside. The entrance room was cozy, with 3 rocking chairs pointing towards a chimney fire, and pictures all along the wall. They each took a seat. For a moment, they each stared at the fire, with contrasting emotions. the elder had a grin on his face, taking in the fire with an inhale and inner peace. Jack looked grim and serious as he watched the familar flame heat his face and eternally twist and turn, ever in conflict with the world around it.

"Ted, I need your help."

Jack looked at him, his expression releasing a little despair from within him.

"Whaddya need? Money troubles?"

"No, Ted. I need real help."

Ted's go-lucky attidute faded into a look of seriousness.

"I'm sorry, Jack, but I'm not coming out of retirement. My days as a soldier are over."

"I know, Ted. Your age has passed, and this is my time. But the Government may be accomplishing their goal of a Chimera. We've already see the Executionor, the Cross, and the Diablo. I only have four months to get incredibly stronger."

Ted looked at Jack in utter disbelief.

"I understand. I know how I can help you."

Ted stood, prompting for Jack to follow. The elder led him to a strange door, with a sign that read "Daddy's Study". As this, Jack smiled. He still couldn't imagine one of the greatest Wiccans of all time, The Water Sage, to be called Daddy. Ted opened the door and revealed a set of stair going upwards. Jack and his friend climbed them and reached "Daddy's Study", one of the world's most largest collections on magical rarities. Ted zoomed his eyes through the tomes, looking for one in particular.

"Here. This one has the information....Jack, do really mean to go there? Even I and the other leaders of the old rebellion never dared to go."

Jack took the book and looked at his friend.

"Yes. I see now that this is what I have to do. Otherwise, our only hopes are on people I can't risk getting hurt."

Jack's mind wandered to Kiera and her sadness over Xeios' disapeearance...He realized now he had been a fool.

"I have to."

Ted smiled at him, and was now reassured at his young friend's optimism that everything would turn out.

"Jack, sleep here tonight before you go anywhere. We have a guest room and you know Diana would love to see you."

Jack remembered Diana, and the many times she hit him over the head for acting around on the battlefields. He grinned full-heartedly.

"Sure."

Xeios grinned, Chaos was getting stupid in his old age. The kick did not send Xeios flying as Chaos had hoped it to. It had set him back two steps. But, his deal had hurt everyone. He needed time to explain. He turned to Morrhigan.

"Darling. Four months, to train your son to resist all government technologies. If you can train him to resist the pills, he will not transform and he will be useless to them. But for now, I have to speak with other...Less faithful in my abilities."

Xeios sunk into a shadow, and appeared in Keira's office. His face was drawn.

"Keira...The Chimaera will not be made. I will kill myself before it is time. But...I need an heir. I have found a way. Please darling. Don't be angry with me..."

Xeios' eyes flashed towards Chaos'.

"And you...Attack your elder again and you will find yourself in the same position as Dasso. Also, I had my reasons for doing what I did, and you should not question them! I am through with your lack of morals and constant antics. If I hadn't known you for as long as I have, I would kill you on the spot, OR have you black-marked by the entire Aren House!"

Xeios' voice was burning with anger, it was true that Chaos should find it necessary to take him very seriously.

Chaos stood up from his chair, and turned towards Xeios. His own patients was waring thing.

"Watch your mouth, Damned Child!" His voice, for once, was beginning to sound his age... Something old. Very old. "You have no right to speak, Xeios. What damn action you took earlier was the biggest mistake yet. Your 'Blood Oath' was not made by someone from the government. Hell, the real building complex wouldn't have fallen to a single vampire as weak as you."

His eyes flaired for a moment. He was ready to kill Xeios on spot if need be. Since, afterall, the immature vampire would only be in his way.

"Your 'Chimera' will not beable to resist anything." He overhears everything.... Everything... "So my suggestion to you, boy, is to back off, and let the real minds work."

His claws began to extend.

Xeios smiled once more. This mutiny was amusing. He was starting to go insane, he thought. Alas...

"Chaos, friend. You do not realize, the blood oath will kill me if I don't fulfill it. and I have no plans to overturn Dalit to them. Therefore, I will die, and their chimaera will be useless. They will need to plan for another fifty, possibly sixty years to get another Chimaera into the blueprint stage. And I think they will target you after me. So, you will have time to...improve, your abilities as preparation..."

Xeios smiled oddly. But this smile was to be taken to completely disregard what he said in anger.

"I know full well w;hat the damn oath will do. I was one of the few who perfected it!" His eyes flaired with his age. "The only thing your sealed to was a hired hand who has nothing to do with the governemnt.

Your death will mean their victory, you damned vampire!" This is as sane as he's been since the beginning of his life. All signs of insanity were gone... for now. "You are only in my way, Child! However the hell I let the head of the Arans let you take charge temporarily, I don't know. Pathetic... I thought you were smarter then your acting, Xeios." Besides from the master of the vampire house, Chaos was the only one who knew he was older then the master himself. Not Xeios, nor any other thing on the planet knew, though Chaos was beginning to show hints of his real age.

"Stay out of my way, Xeios. I'll make sure the damned government is destoryed. Since, after all, you've done a splended job elsewise!" The sarcasm was noticable to even the most ignorant.

Keira closed her eyes and stressed the grip of her pencil with her hand. It was so tight that it broke the pencil. As the pencil broke Keira stood out of her seat and looked at everyone. "Xeios! I'm doing this so no one has to sacrifice themselves!!!" She glared at the window. "I've had enough death as it is. Infact..." She closed her eyes again. "I wasn't sure I would like Chaos because he killed Jake..." She looked out the window. "Killing yourself isn't going to solve anything.. Killing Jake didn't, nor did killing Dasso. You still have Sandra, the Diablo left. I see she doesn't want to work for a government."

Trois smiled. "A good man he was, honored his father with every word. You should listen to your son sometime about him.."

Chaos closed his eyes and sighed. irritation was setting in. "Kill an insect, and the hive comes back for revenge..." He was beginning to be highly irritated with the whole oredeal.

"I came to you to help. Thats what I'm here for. If you dont' want it, then don't take it. I know where my talents are better suited. if you perfer the help from this ingrate." As he nodes his head towards Xeios. "Then by all means throw your life away with a meaningly wedding, and have fun.

The only real reason why Xeios even made up the damn wedding idea is because he hasn't been with a women in a very, very long time." He snorted as he walked over to the window.

Keira grabbed Chaos's arm. "I mean..." She was at a loss for words. "I mean to say, that everything's changed so much. I can't afford another life gone." She looked at Chaos and smiled. "I'd be honored to recieve your help." She looked out the window with Chaos and opened it lighting a cigarette. "Besides," she looked at Chaos and smirked. "You used to strike me as psychotic and annoying. Some of what you say is true..." She sighed and looked off out the window. "But the truth is..." She looked at the ground. "I never wanted the hive after Aren or Ullric. I never wanted that."
