So, I am going to keep my end of the bargin. I promised my family that once I got done building my computer (Something I always wanted to do before ANYTHING) that I would go back to school.

So far, I have two options.

1: Columbus Tech: http://www.columbustech.edu/

This is basically one of the colleges I wanted to go to. I have some good friends who graduated from there and they are doing very good in life. Good community, great fraternities, professional but yet casual atmosphere, and excellent courses and classes to choose from. They are pretty known for their nursing schooling. But you guys know me, I want to do -something- with computers.

2: Georgia Military College: http://www.gmc.cc.ga.us/

Located a little farther away. GMC is one of the next places to go to if you want to learn academics. They have minors in computer studies. But it's a fairly small school. And thanks to Columbus, it's not that expensive getting in there at all. Just as long as you maintain good grades. The PLUS side to GMC is that seen how my grandfather was in the military; my expenses are already paid. Only thing I have to pay for is application fees and my own books (Which are cheap). Schooling, tutoring, and other things are all paid off for me.

Applications and testing starts in two weeks and this thursday I am going to apply for both and see which option for me is better in the long run.

My personal opinion is GMC since it is paid for you. Tuition costs can rise on you at any time, and it would be a nice security to know that you won't have to worry about it. Maybe major in business with the minor in computers? I dunno.

Then again, the tuition rates seem to be quite reasonable at Columbus Tech if I read them right.

Applying to both is a good idea though, since like you said both are good options and you can see which you like better. Have you visited both campuses?

That is an interesting trade off, lol.

I don't have any help to offer, but I wish you luck. It's more than likely totally worth it. Thinking of going back myself sometime soon if I can get a job anytime soon.

Yeah, with the economy the way it is, going to college is a great option if you can afford it. And you can with GMC! Doooooo it!!

Key thing right here. I doubt I can so I might put myself in debt but hey maybe it'll be worth it in the long run! ...

So, the application process starts in two weeks...what about visiting? Elara made a good point about the decision making-process. Visit what you can as soon as you can. College that is paid for is most definitely awesome...but time is money as well, and if the "free" schooling isn't going to get you where you want/should be, then there's that to consider.
