I might be busy today cleaning things since my roommate hasn't done that much in years.

Our room needs cleaning SOOOOOO BAD, but I refuse to use a precious day off to do that kind of work. Nope.

I've got a couple trips coming up next month. The first is a friend's wedding and then Thanksgiving weekend we're running out to Arizona for Brandon's mother's family reunion.

At least during the wedding trip we're staying with a dear friend in Palo Alto, whom I always adore seeing. I'm having more anxiety about that trip than the reunion.

Just got back from the Bay Area. I don't wanna go to work today. *Pout*

Trip was good, mostly. I put WAY too much on the credit card.

Good to see you again, sir.

As you can see, we're still around.

Was up there for a wedding. It was painfully awkward at times, but it was still nice to see someone I considered a best friend doing something that meant a lot to him.

This weekend I took Stitch out for his birthday, without really knowing where I was going since I pretty much promised we'd go wherever he wanted, I'd just pick up the tabs. We went for high tea, walked around the Huntington, and then got sushi in Little Tokyo.

Next weekend, I should really just stay home for a while to help my wallet recover before we have to run to Arizona the next weekend for Brandon's family reunion.

He's doing all right. He's been Lyft driving, and apparently seeing a guy in his early mid-20s.

It's just another day in paradise, half of my support team is out and my help desk lead is out on leave.

This week basically blows.

Since when did "Christ that's young" go from early-mid teens to early-mid twenties?

We're getting old. I've been busy with that I suppose. I finally graduated to being able to walk into a bar without being carded though. But that's probably because we don't have a TV at my work and so I've been popping in and out of the closest bar near my work to catch some of the hockey games for a few years now. And if I'm actually on a break I ask for a soda if anything…but I don't get carded, so still counts as a victory.

Well, hope it's as fun as you imagine. I feel like I'm at least doing better at some of this adulting stuff, but then I'm not exactly killing it.

We got invited to one of those Ugly Christmas Sweater parties. Had to run out and buy a couple, and since the thrift stores would never have any that fit and we didn't have the time to dig, we hit up a couple of the specialty boutiques. Holy shit are these sweaters expensive. This place in Little Tokyo had them starting at $40 a sweater. Ended up getting them from the place where I buy my dad's Hawaiian shirts for $25/apiece.

Turns out my work wants us to do an Ugly Sweater day on our last workday before Christmas.

I've decided I don't like December at all. I love my family and I'm blessed, but I just never get into the "holiday spirit" at all or want to spend money on once a year festivities and random decor, deal with the snow, all the get togethers and awkwardness, etc. It's so hectic and fast paced like people want to get the year over with instantly, without living in the now and just taking it one day at a time.

Can't wait to go MIA in January.

On the bright side, I actually do get the 27th and 3rd off. Was pretty surprised. I work T-S and have to work both Eve's, but it's nice I get a day off those weeks at least.

We're getting the 26th and 2nd off, since we'd normally get Christmas and New Year's Day, but they both fell on weekends. I'm happy with two Mondays in a row.

And then I'm pretty sure we're getting the 16th off for MLK.

I probably should use a day off to clean my room, but I'm either much too tired or too busy. It really has gotten unwieldy, though.

Haven't cleaned much lately myself thesedays. My borderline hoarder roommate and his tendencies have drained my energy. Not sure if I shared this news though, but I'm set on getting my own place at the end of March! Can't wait. Probably won't have roommates ever again. lol

I know this quite well. Like in the past, I'd get most of the room clean, except for Brandon's desk, which is IMPOSSIBLE to clean without him there dictating what's good to toss and what we need to keep. In the end, the whole room falls to ruin because I can never get it ALL done. I've lost faith in getting this place clean.

Was in the pit for Metallica last night, and it turns out one of my co-workers is trying to get me fired. Woo.

Why would they try to do that? Seriously... fuck them!

Heh.. cleaning... that happens like once a month or so... except dishes and cat litter, since we need to do those often.

Congrats on your own place, Xeo!

My roommate tries to put 10 plates in one slot in the dishwasher.

It's painful.
