My friends and I are pretty much ready to give up on the series, we could probably drop it at any moment. It's at the point where we're watching it for comic value. I mean you guys have to admit the last episode had some horrendous directing, when Peter grabbed Parkman's arm ... "I just took your power!" and gave the snarkiest look, it was hilarious. Then they team up with their Jedi mind trick looks ... also how would Peter be able to use that power at Parkman's level so quickly?

And I certainly hope to god they're done with Sylar's sidekick. Way to ruin the best character in the show. Either leave that kid or kill him, seriously.

I'm absolutely sick of Claire's character, everything about her, and pretty much all of her family. Didn't the staff admit that attempting to give her a love interest in season two was a huge mistake? Well ... what's happening again? I also can't help but wonder when that guy's power will ever be used again, lol.

You might think this odd, Xeo, but I completely enjoyed last night's episode. Especially the Claire stuff.

I'll admit I'm so fucking tired of Claire, especially with how the writers keep making her their little crusader for every cause out there, and definitely with how she gets a love interest and they're gone instantly. But there's something about the her and Alex relationship. The underwater kiss was actually really sweet. Completely kicked the Claire/West flying over L.A. sequences asses.

Anyway, what I'm really sick of... giving Sylar even MORE parental issues. We get it. You want to illustrate how mentally-fucked up he is, but does the show really need yet another round of little Gabriel Gray either not certain whom his mother/father is and/or watching them die/killing them?

Ok, I love Exposed. It was a return to form for Claire, they got rid of Luke (who was just beginning to get on my nerves), and the Sylar scenes were great.

And for some reason I feel like you guys aren't getting it.

They pretty much explained flat out all the complaints you have about Claire this episode. They really showed how she is her parent's daughter, and she had a lot of HRG and Mrs. Bennet in her (speaking of which, she ROCKED this episode.) Claire says flat out that she's not a relationship girl. And from what I've read, that's the last of Alex for now. They included him to show the good aspect of saving the world, one person at a time. Now she has to struggle with the bad. (Doyle).

I really like Sylar's storyline this season. We're finding out a lot of subtle explanations for all of Sylar's mannerisms (the two fingered telekinetic salute, and why another possible explanation as to why Sylar held on to telekinesis when he lost his powers. Obviously, it's somewhat ingrained in his DNA. Besides, Sylar confronts his father next episode, and once he does, he's going to change a lot as a character. I'm excited to see what happens there.

Ok, how the fuck can everyone complain about the Peter/Matt storyline? I loved it. Xeo, Peter wasn't using it to Matt's level. They said that two telepaths were better than one. He just acted like an assistant to Matt before. Besides, he's already used that power, he knows to a degree the ropes.

The vast majority of people online liked Exposed. I'm one of them.

I was just digging through some old tapes looking for something to watch and popped in a recording I did of a first season episode--it was the one when Peter discovers he's the exploding man, Eden kills herself to keep Sylar from taking her power, Niki turns herself into the police to keep Jessica from doing further harm, and Hiro and Ando connect with Isaac.

I watched it, even though I've got season 1 on DVD.

Something about it just struck me as magical.

Like you felt like even though it's a fiction, maybe you could have a power too. Especially with all the commercials questioning, "Are you on the list?" referring to the list Chandra Suresh hid to keep people from Sylar getting their hands on it. I just felt amped up.

It all depends on how you look at the last 5 episodes.

Rogue, you always post in threads I don't want you to post in, and never post in the threads I DO want you to post in.

HAL 9000? It got really good for me at Exposed.

Well, I'm 2 or 3 away from being up to date, and there hasn't been anything bad in a while, except the epic fouling up of Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

So who do you think Rebel is?

I've spent the last few weeks fairly certain it's Wireless, but so many of the communities I follow online are dead-set that it's Micah (possibly assisted by Molly).

Anyway, we'll apparently find out tonight.

Heh, Janice is back. With Matt Jr. in tow. Bwahahaha!!

I almost cried tonight. Bryan Fuller, you are my hero.

Everyone else, go watch "Cold Snap". It's the best episode I have watched since "Company Man".

Definitely awesome.

Based on the IMDb page for Cold Snap, Tim Kring wrote this episode alone. Although Bryan Fuller is listed as a consultant producer. But Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander's names are no longer on the list (yet I keep seeing Jeph's name in the opening credits).

Not to stick at it some more, but I notice the best episodes these days have little to no Claire. Although the one with her getting Alex to safety was rather good.

Spoiler:
Kinda sad about who Rebel was, but oh well. I mean, Wireless was contacting Micah after she died. Maybe she taught him how to find everyone or be a spy, in general. I mean, she was in the Israeli military.

Anyway, I love how some of the big players from volume one aren't so all-powerful this season. How Hiro's been completely powerless up until now, while Peter's only able to take a single ability at a time. I hope the one-power-at-a-time sticks. It was annoying when he was practically at god-level.

And on a final note, bring back Monica and Claude!

Bryan Fuller wrote this episode. IMDb is wrong. It was announced a long time ago that this was Bryan Fuller's first episode back and in charge of writing.

It's definitely better than the earlier part of this season and most of the pieces comprising the second volume. You can thank it being turned over to a better writer, for that.

Sorry, Jeph and Jesse. While I admire you guys, your convoluted stories were doing nothing short of killing the show for a lot of us.

I'd heard about Claude shortly after I posted that, but I'm guarding my feelings on that one.

I mean, IMDb isn't exactly accurate. For a couple months, the Spider-Man 3 profile had listed the woman playing Aunt May as "Carnage."

I swear I think I'm starting to like Claire again. Especially with how everything isn't always about her all the time. She's also getting written better.
