Now that I think about it though I don't think Bass was ever in it. But then again it was pretty old, and probably a little before Bass was even introduced in the series.
I remember most of the Megaman 1 bosses were in it usually, Iceman, Fireman, Gutsman, Cutman, etc. If they have a DVD of that show I'd totally buy it. |

Screw them both. I say Bass is more badass then both Zero and X.
Bass was never overpowered. He never could have even merged with Treble in the first place if he didn't steal it. Even then his power form didn't seem too powerful (though chances are you died the first time fighting him in that...) Bass, unlike Zero or X, had insane advanced moves. Now then, this is talking about all the games featuring Bass combined, btw (inculding the hidden VS mode in MM7) Unique to Bass: Bass can acctually Double Jump from a Dash Jump. He had insane control over energy: -Energy rising kick -Energy Crush rush A skull in his energy blasts (usless, but cool) An automatic feature to his buster He could dash before Mega could dream of it Badass personality Badass armor. Unique to X: Lots of Armor upgrades o.O Unique to Zero: A Saber Elemental control for Saber IS the virus. Just can't stay dead o.O Er... yea. I'd say Bass has them both beat (Treble merge wasn't added due to Rush Merge) |

Yeah, the Zero series is probably the hardest series as a whole in the Megaman world. I can beat Zero 1 and 2 with complete ease, though. They aren't really THAT hard. Zero3 has given me the most troubles out of the Zero series that I've played (1-3). I like Zero 3, the mavericks being humanoid then changing into their 'animal form' was cool. |

In an altered reality I may have voted for Zero.
Honestly, some of what you guys say can be true, like Kaijin saying it takes more skill to use a sword and whatnot, but gameplay wise ... it was just too easy playing as Zero, and kind of ruined the games (X4-X6). It was flashy and cool, but just way to easy. And I think I can agree with TP with Zero in the first X game. He didn't seem overpowered, like he does in the rest of the X games. He looked like an average character, sacrificed himself to destroy Vile's armor, and whatnot. So he was actually pretty cool, and his theme rocked. After that he just seemed really arrogant though. And Bass was awesome. |

I have played X5, I think I saw more ninja characteristics in X6, if memory serves me right. Spin slashing, jumping on roofs, etc. He also pulled a Blues impression in the end of X6 (if you didn't unlock Zero during the game).
But that was which I liked X1 and prior Zero the most. He was pretty basic, without the extra armor and saber like he gets later, yet he still manages to wop Sigma around pretty damned well. Oh Xarkm, I think Xeo voted X. He doesn't seem to enjoy Zero very much from what I have seen.  |

I won't vote for this, but I will add my two cents.
Mega has been there from the start. he has been stopping Wily's plans for the longest time in a gay little one peice blue swimsuit, and a metal diaper. Light gives him an upgrade, and knocks his ass out for a century. Thus giving him the infinitely cooler metal armer look. While X is the first, it dosn't mean he's always better. He is considered the most powerful Reploid of all time. (Playing through the games keep hinting toward this, and X7 makes it reality o.O ) Why he isn't the LEADER of everything, I don't know, but he commands respect from even the highest leaders. The ability to use the enemy weapon against them dosn't hurt his growing power, as well as ever changing armor upgrades. Zero, whom I think is the better badass, is a ninja style Reploid. Don't believe me? Play X5. He was Wily's last creation in the long line of failures (The other success was Bass, but I've yet to figure out what happened to him o.O ) was his ultimate creation. And for good reasons. While he never did start with a weapon (see X4), he had the melee skill to stop just about anything. hell, he took out Sigma in the first meeting, even though he still lost in the final shot. Wily was planning on Zero losing, and implemented the Zero Virus within his gem, thus is how it was released. Sure Zero dosn't hold the destructive capabilites of X's X buster, but the Z Saber is one of the strongest creations of all time. With the ability to alter the elements with his saber, and the ninjitsu skills, I believe Zero is the stronger of the two. Face it. Any pussy can shoot a gun. But it takes a pair to get right in the enemy face, and stab him to death. |

I like X better, just for the sole fact that he's been around longer and really knows what he's doing. All Zero does is hop into the middle of the fray, swing his sabre around a few times and calls it good.
X has to use his enemies' skills to get around and looks alot cooler, btw. |

@TP: Yeah, meh. I forgot about that. And then the whole Zero Virus thing ... yeah I just tend to forget about X5 and X6.
But really, according to X2's and X3's ending, they basically said Zero would have to die for world peace to be fully restored. An epic battle, to the real death or something unique like ... Luke vs Darth Vader / Emperor, would have been awesome. Then out of nowhere in X8 the villian is some random guy, and it's apparently the last X game. 
They just really seemed to butcher the plot after X3. X4 was great, but definitely weird. |

I choose...
X (image not working in IE, but did when I used Firefox). He is just better. Flat out. I also personally think he looks better than Zero, contrast to what many other people seem to think (lots of Zero fans. Also, I mean his normal suit, too). I like MMX1 Zero, but not really him after that. Also, X is more stylish. He changes outfits once in a while!

Speaking of the evil Doctor, Wily is actually still alive during the X series, which I guess some of you may know? Sigma speaks of him in X5 when you confront him with either charactor. Wily should appear in that last X game or something...if they end up making a ending to it. Where Zero PERMANENTLY goes in a sleep chamber (thus allowing the Zero series to start), unlike that alternate ending from X6, and X going all "I will continue to fight...for everlasting peace!" with Dr. Lights face in the clouds. |

Xeo, the megaman pic is busted....
Anyways, I voted Megaman...I like to play as Zero...but just like all of Dr. Wily's creations, Megaman is sure to beat em'... I wonder what ability Megaman can get if he can destroy Zero...and vice versa...O.o? |
