Well, I voted "no". And I'm kidding when I say that.
The reason is pretty much the same as the others, so I won't do any repeating. |

As I said in my newbie thread to you, it would be good to have a Rom Hacking forum; Not only is it a bonus for us who are already Rom Hacking, but will also bring those to the Board who like Rom Hacking, and possibly educate those who have no clue as to how. |

Sure, add one if you want. A lot of ROM hackers would love it. |

I voted yes, because on some of the other forums this is at, I've picked up some neat little stuff. |

Vote = Yes
Reason = Why not? So we'll prolly get a few really annoying jerks who are good at programming and are arrogant bastards... thats the only downside... an' hey... we got that with Simbattles. ((Ah I'm just kiddin' yah guys. XD)) |

On one hand, it could be a nice addition and a boost to the activity.
On the other, it could just take up space. No reason for not giving it a chance, though. |

can we include various bootlegs and trades of other programs in this forum too? |

Honestly I think it would be a great idea. It would be nice to have somwhere where we can discuss and trade what we know. What games are good and what emulators work well. So I vote yes! |

That's cool It would be awsome to know how to do that. Now I really think it's a good idea to have this forum for ROM Hacking |

I have quoted some people from Acmlm's to show you guys what Rom Hacking is capable of (I mean who know's, maybe some of you guys already here, will end up getting really interested in Rom Hacking?).
For those of you who have played the original versions of these games, you will easily see the difference. I voted yes. Anything new would be good for the board. I don't see how it could hurt us so go for it. Maybe it will give an oppurtunity for people like myself to learn a little bit.

I think it would be a good idea to try out for a while. I think that it would also bring more member's to the board which would bring up activity also in the long run. I personaly dont know how to do some of these things but I think that it would benifit the board in a whole if we were to put this in.
*I vote yes* |

Well, simple enough here, do you guys think we should have a Rom Hacking forum?
I've though about this for awhile, and have decided I really think it would be a good idea to make one. How could it hurt in any way? Our community here at XGF is ever so growing, and expanding to new horizons could spark new interest in some, and could bring in new members. Maybe people have come here before, only to be disappointed in not seeing a Rom Hacking forum? And if we make a new forum, such as this, we're giving out users more options. Personally, I'm all for this, and I could quite possibly bring some people over who could get the forum active. I just thought I'd see what you guys think also. What is Rom Hacking? Basically as it sounds, hacking roms (ie. old videogames). There are many things you can do with roms, change the text, change values in the data, modify the graphics, and there's sometimes even programs out there that people have made, that are Level Editors, such as Jathy's SMILE program for Super Metroid, Sephiroth7's Hyrule Magic editor for Zelda LttP, and so on. A lot of the editors can be found at Zophar's, and tons of utilites can be found there also. |
