Dragonforce is godly.
Since my parents are out of town, I've been blasting Valley of the Damned through my computer speakers, and it makes them sound 300% more awesome. If you guys want, I can upload another song by them. But, doesn't seem like I got any comments from posting 'Valley of the Damned'. I feel I'm the only DForce fan here.

I can't recommend songs, because I don't know them well, but from what I've heard (lots of songs + Monsters of Rock '91), it's good. |

I think you will love Pantera to be honest Xeo. If you can get ahold of it, try listening to Cemetary Gates, the guitar in that song is just gorgeous... it wails... oh it is godly! |

Weird page....but its neat though too.
I hate how every band thinks there sound trend setters and make there own dumb geners. like many of those on that site are...ugh this is how those stupid sub genere of "core" sound started  like metalcore...punkcore etc....
Iron maiden is like "general metal" they kinda hit on every genere a little bit but i dont think you could really tie them down specifaclly to one. So was that yes, to me sending you some files next time your on AIM?  |

But man, I just googled "metal definitions" and got this. Now no offense, but that's just stupid. (the page, sure there's different kinds of metal styles out there, but THAT is just dragging it out)
Found this info at wikipedia though, honestly a lot of that sounds pretty true. I just still don't see how people call Iron Maiden Power Metal, they're heavy and "kind of" fast, but for Power Metal? ... I guess I can see how they kind of started the movement, but yeah. Very true that Power Metal seems to be refered to as a European style, that I can highly agree with that. |

Metal storm messes up a lot of things.
There actually kinda both stylings...They were all power metal pretty much up until Reinventing the steel (which is ok, not one of there better albums...) that was thrash. But anyways. There not as old as a lot of other metal bands but they have been major since 1990 with there first real album. They did some stuff in the late 80s but idk if that was the pantera we have now, or just some of the members. (pre dimebag, and his brother dunno his name, but he does the drumming)

I've just heard a lot about them, and I know they're pretty old, and are Power Metal. Actually didn't you send me a song once before? Hmm, seems MetalStorm says they're Thrash. Meh, Thrash and Power Metal go together like cheese and meat if you ask me. Power Metal basically IS Thrash, only maybe with a side of faster drumming, and cheesy lyrics / melodies and symphonies. At least how I look at it. |

But still no power metal band can ever beat Pantera. As the best Power metal band ever.
Sure all these symphonic/power metal bands are nice, but there not pantera. True, you cant say you like powermetal until you love pantera.
(Im just messing with you, but pantera is the base of powermetal, they kinda set the tone/style for a while) |

Well I FINALLY got Valley of the Damned. So far, I'm impressed. My only complaint is the quality that I got it in, it sounds live ... but not really at the same time. This is the first song on the album (the first track is just an intro), the opening sequence to this song just rocks. Valley of the Damned I don't think I like this album as much as Sonic Firestorm, but it still seems really good. |

Well I looked into it and I think they're "Freedom Call" and not "French Call".
Check it out. Really this bands not that bad in my opinion, just not much of a fan for the vocals. Man I really need to get Dragonforce - Valley Of The Damned, I think Sonic Firestorm is so good but I've heard VoTD is even better.  |

 Never really knew I had the tastes for power metal until I listened to this. I thought there's gotta be something better out there after you all said that... Like that one band that Xeo listens to a lot and commanded everyone to dl the songs. XD |

Yeah, well I came off here sounding like I hate Iron Maiden. Honestly I think they're a fine band, but nothing special and nothing I'd really listen to on my own. So yeah, didn't mean to make it sound like I hated them (the ones without Bruce though, ugh, seriously those vocals just kill the entire albums).
And yeah, Tobias does not sound like Bruce. |

Heh, that all schools I went, metal was always underrated.
And it's not like I'm saying Iron Maiden is the best band ever (there's lots of songs I dislike by them, but stuff like Wrathchild, Phantom of the Opera (after the solo = gold), Aces High, Flight of Icarus, Hollowed Be Thy Name.....) As for Edguy's vocals sounding like Bruce's.... Some people smoked too much weed. As for the current topic.... well I didn't like it that much. I agree with everyone... the volcals... ugh. |

True and others: You can just go here to my download folder and download the songs. Sorry it's not too organized.
Mysteria, The Piper Never Dies, We Don't Need a Hero, Under the Moon, Navigator, and all the "Track" songs are from Edguy. The other tracks with numbers before them are Dragonforce. The .mpc files are Sonata Arctica (you'll need the plugin to play them, for winamp). And then there's Stratovarius songs. I thought I uploaded some Rhapsody before. 
I'll upload Eternal Sword right now (one of the best songs ever). Edit: Ah, some of the Track songs are Rhapsody. Between Edguy and Rhapsody you can easily tell a difference.
