I thought I would do what I always do when summer comes sit on my ass and not see sun light for 3 months. No that was partially a joke I have no clue what I will do for what’s left of my summer vacation will most likely do what I do best wing it. |

*looks at the clock and shrugs* 5:49 a.m. I just got home from working.
Well, my cast just had its quadrannual convention where Rocky Horror fans from around the world come together and perform and whatnot. Didn't get any sleep then and moreso partied like no one would believe. Right now I'm up to my waist in Anime Expo. It'll be over Monday which is also when we're having a huge cast party for the 4th and wrap-up to the con. Next weekend would be the Labyrinth Masquerade. And the week after would be San Diego Comic-Con which is going to be E-fuckin'-NORMOUS! So for the most part, I'm taking in con season, partying, and so on. Not to mention all of the fairs and festivals coming up. At the same time, Zoso's up in Washington with his family for 2 more weeks. I've just been keeping busy while he's been gone. |

for me not much. just stay home and chat online and post lots here =P
i dont know if this would be part of my summer or not but its close. i got a job with the school district for the year mostly but it starts in augest. so ill have a few weeks in at least till school starts. if your wondering what ill be doing i get to be a techie and go around to all the schools around the district and fix computers and stuff like that. the only bad part is that its just min. wage($7.25) but im not complaining because its money and its a job that i will actually like. other than that now that i have cable and not dial-up i can get online a lot more frequently so this is where ill spend most of my time this summer. |

Speaking of summer recreation and such...what about that damned topic of school? Anyone have anything to do for school this summer? I don't know what else I have to do for some of my individual classes cuz I was told I'd have other books to read, but we have a choice between a few books to read and one of them was "The Joy Luck Club" by Amy Tan. I heard that it actually was a good book...**shrugs** |

10 hour days...**dies** I feel really stupid now... I'll only be working 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. They can't hire me full-time though cuz I can only work part-time once school starts up and they said they can't downgrade me from full to part-time like that...**shrugs**

I worked a 10 hour shift today, and never got a break ... Finally left work, grabbed Burger King, and it had never tasted so good. Then I almost puked though, because I garfed it down in probably a few minutes. But seriously, 10 hours without a single break, of doing labor? Yeah, I was hungry. Luckily, or at least I "believe" I only had to work this long today because it was the holiday weekend before the 4th of July, since I usually work only 4-5 hour shifts, I doupt I'll get that much more "10 hour days". Man it sucked. |

Just kidding of course, but I'm sure it's fun. All I've been doing is working, and hanging out with friends occasionally, and that's probably all it's going to be for the rest of the summer. Yeah, exciting. The bad news, I'm forcing myself to not spend almost all of the money I'm earning from my job, because I seriously need to save up for a car (I plan on getting one in October probably, around my birthday, that way I'm sure my Other than working, and hanging out with friends, I'm also growing my hair out. **shrugs** Wasn't sure if this should be a topic of it's own, or should go with the "Summer Solstice" thread...
Anywho...now that school is out and summer is here...what's everyone's plans? I plan on working this summer. Already got two jobs that are a definite. One is a part-time job at the Game Stop, and the other is working at some nursing home. The nursing home is fun, I've been there a few times to give it a try...all I'll be doing pretty much is keeping the old people company and stuff. They're all really sweet people too and I love hearing all their stories and such.  I did apply for another job, but now I'm not sure if I'm going to get it. Long story and off topic to the thread.
Otherwise I'll just be doing my usual...running the house, taking care of the kids, goofing off online, hanging out with friends, and going down the shore occasionally. Though I also have a goal...dunno what it is exactly...but without school in the way, getting lots and lots of posts has suddenly become fun again. I got lazy during the school year...
So....what about everyone else? Any big vacations planned or anything? |
