It's the MTV awards, not the Oscars. Who cares? :p
But seriously, Twilight is...ehh. I've read the books and watched the first movie. I may have said it on the board before, but the first book was pretty decent, in my opinion. Second one, I hated, gave the third one a chance, cuz I assumed it was "second story syndrome" with the second book, and read the 4th one because I was bored, wanted to legitimately complain/defend the story, and well...ehh, I gave it a shot. The first one was SOOOO cheesy, but you know what? It's called "Twilight", about a teenager and vampires, and had an apple in the pair of two pale hands. I knew what I was getting myself into when I opened the book. So I guess that helped, I wasn't expecting something great, just some guilty pleasure to be mildly entertained with. And as it turned out the first one was cool. If she ended it a few chapters longer, the series could have ended there, and been good. But no....the broad continued...and I was sick of Twilight haters, because I didn't know anything about it, and I thought they were just bandwagoners for either side...and then I realized "This really is crap." I want my 30 bucks back.  |

It's not so much for Robert Pattinson himself as opposed to his screaming fangirl/TwiMom fanbase. Anyway, they're pretty much a plague of locusts when it comes to devouring and destroying other things the guy is in.
Still, though, I wasn't much of a fan of the fake mustache in "Little Ashes." He was okay. As for "Twilight" itself, I've never read the books, seen the movies, or even been to the insane panels for it. I have no opinion of it and have heard nothing but the maniacal screams from both sides of either how wonderful or terrible it is. It seems like both sides are quite passionate about it all the same. In truth whenever "Twilight" enters a conversation, I leave the room. |

Anyway, I now hate MTV even more, but it is not like the industry takes their awards seriously. The movies are horrible, the plot is something I could have pulled out of my ass in five minutes... though Meyers went too far with the sparkle thing (not touching the baseball bullshit). I found the first movie hilarious with rifftrax... the first time you watch it. Haven't seen the latest travesty yet. |

I can't stand Twilight either. Anyone can write a book with the perfect man as the main character, then cast a heartthrob to play him and have a legion of teen girls fall in love with it. Also, there is no way these movies can be that good since they make them in about a year. |

Okay, lets get this out of the way. I enjoyed the book series before everyone was drooling all over it. It was okay, not extremely well written, but it had an okay story line. Then everyone decided that it was God. Robert Pattinson or whatever (he'll always be Cederick Digory to me) drew everyone in with his 'romantic' sparkling, and it pisses me off.
Now we're at the point where wilight actors and actresses are winning awards that they are not deserving of. I mean, sure, Kearsten might be an okay actress, but deserving of the best female actress? HELL no. In my opinion, the girl cannot act. I have seen bits of the first movie (my sister is one of the drooling 'Team Edward' fans), and I almost died laughing. No one in that movie could act, especially her. She took an award that should have gone to someone much more deserving (in my opinion, Sandra Bullock). They're lucky I didnt kill someone when Twilight won best movie of the year a while ago over the Dark Knight. I mean, really? The Dark Knight. Batman. Batman could kick that sparklepire's a** in a heartbeat. Anyway, I dislike Twilight. Over-rated. |
