I'm addicted. I have a regular place I go after work. Usual order: "Medium cold brew, room for cream."

My favorite cold coffee is Blue Bottle's New Orleans iced coffee. It comes in a little milk carton, like the ones from school. Been drinking it for years, and holy fuck is it amazeballs over ice cream.

I actually just watched a video on what powers the Queen of England actually has... which is surprisingly a lot. It made me wonder how different the country, and world, would be if she had less restraint... and what happens once she passes.

What is your opinion on Cold Brew coffee or cold coffee in general?

Mint and chip.

What's the last YouTube video you watched that really made you think?

I have not heard anyone make this claim, and I don't know if I would agree with it. One the one hand, in terms of effects and such, yes... we can do a lot more now than we could before... but we have lost some things in doing that. Game of Thrones can make a dragon fly, but Star Trek TNG made a borg cube out of bits of model kits that looked pretty damn realistic and intimidating... I don't think you can find many people who can do that now. Pixar makes great CGI animated movies, but can anyone do the old style animation or stop motion? In short, we have advanced, but I think we also got lazy.

And don't even get me started on how repetitive shows have become... how many Law and Order or CW Superhero shows do we need?

Side note on that book group... we read one book a month, because "more is too much". I will have to look into some of those titles. For March I suggested "The Martian Chronicles"... I and the other heavy reader voted for it at least. My April suggestion is "Children of Blood and Bone"... let us see how that one goes.

Snap decision: You are offered an ice cream in the flavor of your choice, what do you pick?

Hah, I was in one of those. All the ladies kept talking about Twilight, 50 Shades, Nicholas Sparks, and other sappy chick-lit when they weren't talking about wine, etc.

My recs will make no sense, but here goes:
- "Wiseguy: Life in a Mafia Family" by Nicholas Pileggi (It's not very long, it's based on a true story, and it was later turned into the film, "Goodfellas.")

- "Animal Farm" by George Orwell (It's not long at all, it's classic, it's cautionary and deep, loads to talk about.)

- "Watchmen" by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons (Yes, it's a graphic novel, but everyone SHOULD read it. It's one of the greatest stories of the superhero genre.)

- "Sirens of Titan" by Kurt Vonnegut (I'm not completely up on the literary sci-fi genre, but I liked this book, which came recommended by someone of whom I have high regard.)

I figure, if you're into YA, you probably prefer SHORT books. Not necessarily short stories, but books that you can plow through within a week. All of these, depending on the amount of time you have, can be read through in that amount of time.

Would you agree with society's belief that we are "living in the Golden Age of television," and if so, why?

I feel you on the turkey, though I have found shoving a bunch of herbed butter under the skin before baking apparently gets rid of that problem... but you have to baste it. A lot. But it's SO worth it.

What I am looking forward to? Heh... probably obvious, but moving. The weather warming up. Just... so many things.

What book would you recommend for a book group filled with people that are used to young adult fiction?

Outside of just eating it reheated on a plate, I've only ever made them into sandwiches for Brandon and me to eat on the road on our way home from his grandmother's in Arizona.

I'm not much of a fan of leftover Thanksgiving turkey unless it was a GREAT turkey, which I've maybe only had a couple times. Almost all of them have been dry and flavorless, and I feel like an asshole for saying it out loud.

What are you looking forward to right now?

Hmm,,,, fruit would probably be strawberries (hard choice)... veggies... at the moment I am kind of on a leek kick.

What is your favorite way to use leftover turkey?

Now that you ask... I don't remember last week very well at all, haha. Guess my short term memory is resorted to just a few previous days. I think I remember the weekends a little better, so the work week is kind of a blur.

What's your favorite fruit and vegetable?

Brandon and I primarily use his desktop computer that's in our room. It's got his flat screen monitor and our flat screen TV, hanging on the wall, linked so you can drag the cursor and windows over to it. We'll use that to watch Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTube, etc.

Otherwise if someone's using it, the other will just sit in the same room on their phone. We recently bought an Apple off a friend, which Bran put in a spare bedroom to record and engineer music, but it's not nearly as used by us.

How well do you remember when things happened? For example, can you remember each day of last week and what you did, where you went, who you talked to on each day individually?

Jeans and hoodie.

What's your main PC? A laptop or desktop? How many monitors do you have hooked up?

This one sort of breaks my heart because I didn't realize I'd just beaten story mode on "Assassin's Creed IV" until the credits were rolling and I'm internally screaming, "This is IT?! WHAT!?!?!"

Literally just beat it 20 minutes ago, and I'm still raw about it. I thought there was more story after this.

What does your "cool" outfit look like?

I seriously think the last two I bought were The Force Awakens and Rogue One like a year ago.

What was the last video game you beat?

They're ... cute? Well, it reminds me of playing a key-tar when I was a kid in the late '80s/early '90s.

When's the last time you bought a DVD and what was it?

The beach of Santa Monica as it is beginning to get dark at night.

You can only have ones, dreams or safety.

If you take dreams, there's more risk, certainly, but you will be far happier than if you took the safe route in this scenario. If it fails, you've pretty much got nothing though, and are likely not going to be very happy lol.

If you take safety, you will still be relatively happy, and able to care for yourself with certainty, but you may wonder what may have been.

Out of those, copper.

Outside of those, gun metal and pewter.

I just don't go for overly shiny. I like a good patina.

What would you consider to be the greatest physical object that you have ever seen with your own eyes (i.e. not online, in a book, etc)?
