It's not laziness, it's efficiency. If you're having a large raid, it's much easier to talk than type, and it keeps you from not being able to do anything while typing. And it makes it so if you type an urgent message, it's not pointless by the time you type it. And so that you don't have to be distracted by reading the little text on the bottom, or even missing some of it.


Like I said, Lazy.

If you dont know what to do on a Raid, then obviously you should learn more about it, thats what mods are for on WoW, even thottbot.com has plenty of guides that people need to follow.

Hell, every time I was on Vent, its always pointless conversations being shared. 90% of the time I dont even use it unless I just bullshit around. And even if someone needs to tell me what to do, why would I? Its my game, im playing it. And really if Teamwork is all thats needed, I just follow the symbols and go with my group.

People use it for better communication when playing MMO's. Or if they are too lazy to type simple words on WoW.

But in this case, it was LoTR Vent.
